Chapter 40: Ungraded Secret Realm

"If you want to get an herb that can heal your meridian, there is only one place where you can get it with the least danger."

"Where?"

Wei Fang asked eagerly. Although his meridian has already healed, he still needs to put up a facade; otherwise, it could bring him disaster.

After all, not everyone was as kind as Elder Zhao and Zhu Ju towards him. Most of the time, everyone just prioritizes their own benefits. It was the impression Wei Fang got after the transport mission.

It was so different from the village where he came from. Although there were still differences, everyone in the village was working towards a common goal.

So Wei Fang needs a suitable facade as to why his meridian could heal.

"The unranked secret realm."

"Unranked secret realm?"

Wei Fang and Zhu Ju asked simultaneously.

"Yes. A secret realm was a landmass that floated in the void and depended on our world to exist. Secret realms can be naturally formed or created by great figures."

"How big a secret realm was?" Is it as big as our continent?"

"The size of secret realms varied from one to one. The smallest could be just as big as a village, and for the biggest to date, the biggest secret realm ever found is as big as half of our continent."

"So big?" Wei Fang was astonished.

"Then, if the secret realm is in the void, how can we enter it?"

"Naturally, there would be connecting point between our word and the secret realm and from there, we could enter it."

"Then, are secret realms precious?"

"Of course it is; the preciousness of the secret realm lay in how much resource it could produce and the level of resource in it. Usually, it had to do with the grade and type of the secret realm. Every secret realm was controlled by a faction; only those secret realms that had already become wasteland were left in the wild."

"Then, what is the ungraded secret realm?"

"Secret realms were graded based on the strongest person a secret realm could bear. The ungraded secret realm I talked about before was a secret realm without grade; only those in the Qi condensation realm and mortals could enter; that was also why it was ungraded because mortals could enter it. Grade one secret realm can accommodate foundation Establishment cultivators; grade two secret realm can accommodate Core Formation cultivator etc."

"If secret realms are something precious, how could I have the chance to enter them?" Wei Fang asked.

"It has something to do with the type of secret realm. The ungraded secret realm was formerly a secret realm that was used by a big sect in the past to nurture their young generation. So, every year, there would be a quota of 45 people who could enter it."

"45? So little?" Zhu Ju asked. If it was used to nurture the younger generation, 45 is really too little.

"45 is the only quota for our sect. The ungraded secret realm I talked about was the biggest secret realm, with about 1000 entry quotas every year. It was just that the secret realm opening would be opened at random places, and only a few were fixed."

"With such a small quota, how can I have the chance to enter it? The sect must have allocated the quota already." Wei Fang said dejectedly.

"No, you still have a chance." Elder Zhao said and explained, "For someone to get the entry quota, there are two ways: the first is to exchange it for a huge amount of contribution points, and the second is to win tournaments.

"You can forget about the first because it requires a tremendous amount of contribution. It was too much, even for me.

"But you can try the second way. As long as you can win the New Disciples tournament, you can have a quota to enter the unranked secret realm."

It was only then that Wei Fang remembered there was a new disciple tournament about half a month away.

"Only first place?" Wei Fang asked.

"Of course. It was already generous of the sect to give new disciples a spot. After all, new disciples were only so much, not to mention the sense of belonging new disciples to the sect was still not that great." Elder Zhao explained.

Wei Fang nodded after thinking about it.

Elder Zhao then gave something to Zhu Ju before saying,

"Ju'er, accompany Wei Fang to register his new identity and get his token. You can also help him become familiar with the alchemy hall. Even though he is not an alchemist now, who knows, maybe he will become interested after learning about it."

"Alright."

"In that case, we'll go first, master." Zhu Ju cupped his fist, followed by Wei Fang.

"Let's go!" Zhu Ju said as she led Wei Fang.

"Where are we going?"

"Of course, to get your token."

"But why do we come out of the Alchemy Hall?" Wei Fang asked puzzledly as he followed Zhu Ju out of the Alchemy Hall.

"Because you need to change your identity first before you can get the token. Your identity now was still outer disciples, so we need to go to the Outer Hall to register your new identity."

"Okay, let's go then."

Wei Fang was led to Outer Hall by Zhu Ju. Along the way, they drew many astonished glances from many people.

Those who knew Wei Fang were astonished that there was still someone by his side, even after he offended Senior Li Yan and became crippled. Not to mention, it was someone as beautiful as Zhu Ju.

While those who knew both of them wondered how people from two different worlds could be together,.

The one who tasked in the Outer Hall this time was a senior sister. Zhu Ju explained that the purpose of their visit was to change Wei Fang's status as an outer disciple to that of an elder personal disciple.

The senior sister was quite skeptical when he saw Wei Fang, but after Zhu Ju took out Elder Zhao's plaque, everything became easy.

Not long after, they came back to the Alchemy Hall.

"Little Zhu, it's rare to see you here." The elder who presided over the entrance test asked as soon as he saw Zhu Ju, "Do you want to spectate the test?"

"Greetings Elder!" Zhu Ju bowed towards the elder and said, "I am here to get an identity token for my junior brother."

Zhu Ju showed Wei Fang, who was behind her, towards the Elder.

"Junior brother? Could it be...? Is your master accepting a new disciple?" The elder asked incredulously.

Elder Zhao was talented in alchemy, but she was extremely picky when it came to choosing disciples; even those who were talented were not accepted by her. Even after so many years as an elder, she only accepted Zhu Ju as her disciple. He didn't expect her to accept another disciple, and an unknown disciple at that.

"Yes, this is my junior brother. My master accepted him as a disciple just this morning. Junior brother Wei, greet Elder Tan."

"Disciple Wei Fang greets Elder Tan."

"Not bad; you already reached the 4th level at such a young age. If you continue like this, Little Zhu will be surpassed by you soon." Elder Tan laughed.

"Hmmp, you better not surpass me in the future, junior brother." Zhu Ju looked at Wei Fang threateningly.

Why does the script sound wrong? Don't they usually say, I will never let you surprass me?

"Then, Senior Sister, you better work hard in cultivation."

"This is your token." Elder Tan gave a token to Wei Fang: "Insert your qi, and it will become yours."

"Thank you, Elder Tan." Wei Wang cupped his fist and bowed respectfully.

"Wait!"
