Chapter 7: Chapter Seven

The Endangered

.....................

Juliet felt very sad when I told her what transpired between Tay and I. She never believed Tay, my friend, of all people, who she thought was a nice guy, would turn out to be a bad guy.

"That is bad of him. I think something is wrong somewhere. You just need to be careful these days. I promise you, with time, everything will be sorted out. I've discussed it with my parents; they promised to meet with your parents for a heart-to-heart conversation. I trust my father. He is a peaceful general and would do anything for me and you. So, get rest assured," Juliet told me in my hotel room."

"Are you really sure of this? My father is very brutal and would also do anything for me not to get involved with your family." I countered her motion.

"Believe me, I am very sure of what I said. My parents will sort it out. Just leave everything on their court and let them play the match." She said it for the second time.

I felt a little sigh of relief as contemporary joy danced inside my heart.

After our conversation that day, the following week, I was driving her in her father's black Rang-Over, heading to the K.I.C for shopping. My attention was quickly jolted by a red Toyota Camry driving behind us. I stared at my car mirror and watched as the car followed us slowly. I didn't take a quick notice as my mind went off.

Maybe the person is just going on his way, I thought in my mind.

We arrived at the K.I.C. and hopped out of the car. I stood, watching as the car halted in front of the K.I.C, and continued with the ride after some minutes of observation. Still, I didn't take notice.

I held Juliet's hand as we both walked into the store. Swiftly, we came out of the K.I.C store and hopped into the car. This time around, the same car kept following us.

At this moment, I begin to have some strange feelings inside of me that we are in trouble.

"I don't know why this red car has been following us. The same car followed us while we were heading to the K.I.C." I told Juliet, and she asked me to increase the speed before we could know what was happening. They sped ahead of us and covered the road.

Since I am not an expert at driving, it seems difficult to veer around. Three heavy men clad in black attire hounded and threatened us with a gun.

"Step out of the car." The one who was dark in complexion, four foot and three inches, ordered us out of the car. I feared for the worst as I quickly obeyed. Our arms were raised above our heads as we hopped out of the car in silence.

As I watched them drag Juliet to their car, I had no superpowers or anything to fight them with.

"Where are you people taking me to?" Juliet asked with her tiny voice. Bianca slapped her on the left cheek.

"Shut your mouth and don't ask any silly questions." The short was like a bull fired. His voice echoed like a blast of thunder.

Hot tears filled my eyes and my heart was filled with pain, panting so hard. I'm done; the General will skin me alive. escaped my voice as they raced through the flames. I don't even recognize any of their faces. I wondered who could be the brain behind this.

I wondered if it was the general's idea to frame me or my father. So many things flashed through my inner mind as I went back to my hotel room in tears, thinking of what to do at the moment.
