Chapter 37: Hero Killer Joins the Empire.
{POV Ryuu.}
We both left the alleyway weapons drawn as a very small and older hero came around the corner with a look of worry on his face. But hardened when he saw us.
As well as five extras that followed right behind him.
But when they all noticed us, they stopped before rushing towards us.
The old man was the fastest as he charged straight towards Stain but dodged when Stain swung his sword forcing him to change direction in mid-air. Forcing the old man to try again. By attacking Stains backside.
But before the old man could launch himself towards Stain I unleashed a war cry that was focused on the old man and the five extras. Stunning the old man, and causing the extras to descend into a primal madness as they started to attack each other.
"That should cause him to not operate at his normal capacity. I'll take care of the extras as I need to rage for a moment." I spoke with a deep tone as I started to head towards the extras direction while drawing my cane-ax.
Stain nodded his head as he turned his attention to the old man. But when he turned to look he noticed that he was gone as he headed to the direction of the alley.
"You're right Stain, phonies have overrun society and the criminals who so aimlessly sprinkle their power, are perfect targets for a purge." I spoke as my killing intent increased with each word.
"All of this is for the sake of a just world. A world that needs a leader to take it's helm."
I rushed into the mob of extras as they didn't notice me as I drove the blade of my cane-ax, into the back of one of their skulls, killing one on the spot. I didn't stop as I broke one of the others knee-cap while driving my fist into another's throat crushing it.
The screaming of the extra who's knee I shattered brought the other two back to consciousness as looks of horror and fear took over them. I just continued to look at them as I removed my cane-ax from the back of the skull of the one extra as bone, blood, and brain matter started to pour from the back of his skull.
But before I was able to take another step a cry echoed in the air as one of the flying Nomus started to descend upon us. I started to laugh as I saw it's descent but my focus never left the remaining extras as I saw one of Stains knives pierce into it's exposed brain from my peripheral. Making it drop from the air.
"Well aren't you the pretty little thing? You seem strong but one little knife to the brain and you're dead." Stain spoke with disdain as he stabbed another one of his blades into the Nomu.
Huh, double tap smart.
"It was one of the weaker ones they had, but still such a waste of resources," I said with a sigh before stopping as I noticed a very strong presence joining the party.
"He must have fled over there by-!!!" Endeavor yelled out as he turned the corner but stopped when he saw the scene in front of him. Then a vicious and greedy smile formed on his face.
I even heard the old man from earlier had started to yell out, saying something to try and get Endeavor's attention only to be ignored.
But as Endeavor started to head towards our direction he stopped as a massive amount of bloodlust and killing intent started to flood the area.
"Endeavor…" Stain said slowly as he took a step forward as a battle hardened expression formed on his face. "Another phony, the fake must be rectified, someone must stain himself in his blood. The word 'hero' must be restored!"
Stain took another step as his bloodlust increased; it even started to form a ghastly image behind him.
Making Endeavor, the remaining extras, and even the old man take a step back.
"Come!! Just try it, you pretenders! The only one who's allowed to kill me is All Might!!"
I even joined in as I unleashed my own killing intent onto everyone making them rooted where they stood, but before we were able to take another step multiple sounds of backup started to echo.
Making me frown as I raised my hand to stop Stain.
"It seems these fakes have found themselves quite lucky today," I said with slight irritation in my voice. "It's time to call our hunt to an end."
I turned to look at Stain as I saw the look of hesitation in his eyes. "There will be another time for them I promise. But for now we are needed elsewhere."
"True, besides we still need to have our chat anyway," Stain said as he sheathed his sword. "So how do you plan on getting us out of here?" Stain asked as he ignored the still shaken and frozen heroes.
"Simple," I laughed as I snapped my fingers as a warp gate opened near us. "I've already made sure to have an exit plan before our hunt began."
Stain smiled as he walked through the warp gate as I started to follow after him. But before I entered I turned to face the old man.
"Tell the hero boy that this is only the beginning of a long time coming," Then turned to face Endeavor. "And to you mighty hero number two."
I ran my thumb across my throat before laughing and finally entered the gate.
But after I exited I saw Tomura glaring at both Stain and I as he seemed furious.
"Grow the fuck up Tomura. Your little stunt nearly got both of us killed, all because you wanted to destroy shit." I said with slight venom as Tomura seemed to want to attack.
But before Tomura took a single step I unleashed my war domain with fourteen percent war energy and focused it all on him. The look of rage and fury that he had in his eyes quickly changed as fear, panic, and survival took over.
"I know that your sensei allows you to do whatever the fuck you want but, it seems a heavy hand is needed to wake you up Tomura," I said in a low voice as I started to walk towards him but stopped, as a helicopter started to head in our direction. "Let's get out of here Blackmist."
Blackmist nodded his head as he opened a warp gate and grabbed Tomura. Stain just smiled as he looked at me before then headed into the warp gate.
I took a deep breath as I took one final look across the panic stricken city of Hosu before entering.
"I'll make sure order will be brought to this broken and failed society."
The bar was quite loud as Tomura was complaining to All For One about what happened as Blackmist stood behind him. Stain on the other hand was sitting at the bar with a drink in his hand with another on the counter.
Stain didn't say anything as he nodded his head to the seat next to him.
"You said you wanted a private conversation. You have my ear, so what did you want to talk about? Oh and the drink is yours, Blackmist said you'd like a strong drink after a battle."
I started to laugh a little as I took the seat next to Stain.
"I did and I do. Plus it tastes better when sharing it with those you shed blood with. Besides, our conversation isn't all that deep as I wanted to invite you to my own group."
Stain laughed a little at the beginning, but raised his brow after he heard my invitation.
But when I removed my helm he was surprised for a moment then his face became normal.
"No wonder you recognize those other kids," Stain said with interest before his voice went deep while his killing intent focused on me. "But make sure you choose your next words carefully or you'll also be a target of my purge."
I smiled as I took a drink.
"I never planned on becoming a hero, I loathe them. But I understand the need for them. This society has tainted the title making it shallow. It's all a PR stunt or an image. There are real heroes but the mass amount of fakes have ruined it."
Stains expression changed slightly as his killing intent decreased a little. "I agree, but that doesn't explain why a kid like you is throwing himself in the filth. You didn't even hesitate when you killed those fakes either. Just what type of mindset forged you to become like this."
I started to laugh a little as I took another drink.
"When my ability awoke, it made me realize that a time of chaos and war was going to start. But what truly made my mindset like this was my parents," I smiled as I felt Stain's killing intent disappear. "They did everything they could to give me a life of happiness and warmth in a time when everything seemed peaceful."
I turned to look at the screen that was All For One's face. Then turned to face Stain with a heavy expression.
"Then when I started to pay attention to the number one hero as I noticed things changing. I noticed that he started to crumble while the expression on his face seemed forced. Sure he was a great hero but as the leader of the heroes or pillar he was a joke."
I sighed as I took another drink. "I never wanted to become a hero."
I closed my eyes as the atmosphere around me became heavy. But when I opened my eyes I saw a look of shock on Stains face when he felt the atmosphere around us.
"I felt a heavier duty call for me. I felt the duty of being this world's leader. I plan on becoming an Emperor, one that won't hesitate to do the things this world needs, in order to grow and to bring peace even at the cost of blood on my hands."
The look of shock, wonder, and confusion was all over Stains face when I finished before he closed his eyes. He sat for a long minute before a smile formed on his face as he turned to face me.
"You are a crazy kid, you know that. Are you sure you want my kind?" Stain asked.
"You're the type of person my empire will need the most. You aren't evil, you don't kill just to kill. There is reason and purpose behind you, and besides it takes a group of crazies to create an empire in the first place." I smiled as Stain started to laugh.
"Indeed it does. Well if you don't mind me then I'll join your empire Khorne." Stain smiled as he grabbed his drink and held it out.
I smiled as I grabbed my drink and did the same.
"I welcome you Stain."
