Chapter 5: 05. You Can't Handle Two Beautiful Women?

"I'll think about it," Orion replied and Astarte nodded in understanding.

"If you delay in making your decision and end up staying here for too long, your soul will be unable to transmigrate into our world,' Anastasia warned Orion so he wouldn't regret his indecisiveness.

His body was currently too weak to move freely between realms and it would only grow weaker, so the earlier he made a decision, the better.

Listening to Anastasia's advice, Orion looked around the room and noticed that he was actually in his bedroom.

Although, based on what he had seen so far, he was certain that this place was simply an illusion to make it seem like he was back in his room on Earth.

Then suddenly, Orion realized something.

"Why is my head resting on your lap?" He recalled a cold wind caressing his skin right after Astarte clicked her fingers back in the temple, but he didn't recall laying his head on her lap.

"What's wrong? You don't like it? Would you like to sit up?" Astarte asked with a worried look on her face.

"No," He replied instantly.

He couldn't deny how cute she looked while asking him if he wanted to get up. Besides, it seemed like she loved the way his head was on her lap, so he decided to let her indulge in what she was currently doing. That is, stroking his head.

"Pervert," A jealous goddess could be heard muttering to herself a small distance away from where the two love birds were enjoying each other's company.

Noticing the jealous look on her sister's face, Astarte giggled before adding.

"Well, since he's our husband, he is allowed to rest on my lap for as long as he wants."

"You're really determined to make me your partner, huh?" Orion asked, raising his head from her lap to sit on the bed.

"What's wrong? You can't handle two beautiful women on your own?" Astarte teased, leaning towards him in challenge.

Orion smiled before leaning towards her as well. "Trust me, you'll be surprised by how many women I can handle at once."

Their lips were barely a few inches away from each other.

Hearing his bold and confident words, Astarte's lips widened into a smile as she declared confidently. "It's official. You are definitely the right one for me."

Orion shrugged and smiled, but Anastasia's voice dragged their attention towards her.

"How can you just say that? You barely even know anything about him."

Astarte shrugged indifferently, not bothered by what Anastasia said.

"I know he doesn't have a family missing him from his world and the only person he is really close to is none other than his best friend. Besides, Orion seems to be interested in our world, even if he's yet to say it. I'm certain he would love to decide how he lives his life in our world, but he would also like to experience new things and create new hobbies for himself while having fun in a world that's completely different from his previous world," Astarte replied.

Hearing this, a smile appeared on Orion's lips.

Astarte wasn't wrong with what she said. He was indeed curious to see what a game world would look like in reality.

Astarte was also right about Orion not having a family back home to miss him now that he was gone.

He was raised as an only child and his parents died when he was eighteen.

He didn't even have a girlfriend nor were his grandparents still alive. The only person who would miss him was Alex because the two of them were really close friends and they always played video games together whenever they weren't slaving away at work— he and his colleagues always spent long hours at work each day, and the workload was always overwhelming.

He had only been working in the company for a year, but the intense work pressure, demanding deadlines, and competitive environment always made him wonder if he was truly cut out to work for the company he was in.

If he ever decided to live in the new world, his main priority would be his well-being and that of those he cared about. It would also be to seek a healthy work-life balance.

With his mind made up, he returned his gaze to Astarte and said, " It seems that you've really done your assignment on me."

Based on how much she knew about him and how this room was modeled after his bedroom, he was certain that Astarte knew more about him than he could imagine.

Astarte smiled, knowing that she couldn't deny the truth anymore. "You're right. It is expected of me to know this much about someone I am interested in. Not everyone is worthy of being my husband, you know?"

A smile appeared on Orion's lips. He felt pleased to hear her words and it made him feel special to have a goddess care about him the way she did, but he couldn't help but wonder, why him?

The last time he checked, he didn't seem to have any extraordinary quality that made him stand out from the average human on earth.

Maybe he was a bit more hardworking than his peers, but was this enough to make a goddess like him so much?

Anastasia noticed the troubled expression on his face and guessed the reason why. "You're wondering what's so special about you?"

"So you can read minds now?" Orion asked in response with a surprised look on his face, but Astarte simply smiled before replying.

"Actually no, but your face said it all."

"It did?"

"Yes, but I don't think you should think about this too much. Everyone has something that makes them special and unique from others. It would be boring if we were all made the same way, don't you think?"

Orion nodded in understanding.

"In other words, you see something in me that makes you attracted to me."

"Yes."

"Very well, I'll accept that," Orion slowly stood up from the bed before facing Anastasia.

Noticing the way he was looking at her, Anastasia wondered if there was something on her face. "What is it? Is there something on my face?"

"Looking closely, you're actually really pretty."
