Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Absolute Fear
Traversing across the ice, which was probably once hailed as a great sea, I felt at peace.
There were no noises at all.
None. Nada. Zero.
In fact, it was so quiet, I couldn't even hear my own footsteps.
Hahaha, if I didn't know any better then I'd say that probably really bad.
Ahahaha-ha. Oh dear god.
Should I turn back? Should I return to the mountain?
!BOOM!
Spinning left to get a better look at the sound, I once again froze in fear.
Literally.
My feet were frozen to the ground as I locked eyes with a giant.
With fur as white as snow and covered in frost.
A yeti? A yeti bigger than a goddamn mountain was staring at me.
It's huge, vibrant blue eyes looked at me as if a serial killer was looking at his next victim.
!BOOM!
It's right leg smashed into the ground, shattering it for miles as it walked closer to me.
I don't want to die! I don't want to die!
Please!
Please let me live!
The words wouldn't come out.
There was no sound in this beasts presence.
!BOOM!
!BOOM!
!BOOM!
!BOOM!
The ice around my feet shattered completely, revealing a perfectly fine pair of feet which glowed a bright blue.
Turning around as fast as I could, I sprinted at full speed towards the mountain.
My mountain, my home.
It could keep me safe.
I had no idea why I thought this but I trusted this feeling.
I have to make it to the "MOUNTAIN!" I screamed!
!BOOM!
The sound of the ice cracking and shattering just metres behind me made me increase my speed.
"URAAAAAAAH!" The beast roared as if saying not to waste it's time and submit.
"NO!" I screamed in retaliation as the edge of the frozen sea appeared in my view.
Faster! I need to be faster!
*Ba-dump*
As if responding to the beating of my heart, my vision turned greyscale as everything around me was pulled closer to me at an incredible speed.
In front of me now was the mountain as it would not be pulled forward.
Stepping down onto the light green moss, everything went haywire.
