Chapter 112: Night of Sorrow

Talon was surrounded by the fallen bodies of vampires, soldiers, hunters, and civilians alike, yet he strangely felt nothing.

The only moment when he genuinely felt worried was when he saw the condition that Huntsman Lance, or John, his teacher was in.

He could barely move as and he was sluggish, he could barely get up from the ground, or not at all as every single try caused him to break down into a series of hacking coughs, making him cough up blood from his mouth while struggling to breathe.

His condition was grave.

Talon hurried up, as he pushed the exhaustion and the increasing pain that he felt from having his chroma reserves burned away together with the vampires aside as he rushed to his teacher's side.

John was as pale as a wall while coughing up more blood before looking at Talon's way.

He had a weak half smile on his face that threatened to break apart as he could no longer hide the grim fact.

He was dying.
