Chapter 28: Some Power
'This...' Lian was surprised to hear such a thing. 'Would it be possible to wake them up again?'
-I tried that already,- answered Lugg. -However, their dormant state is much, much more profound than before. It's as if some kind of power is intervening with their crowns, making it impossible for them to wake up. Focus on their crown. You should be able to feel the difference between them and me.-
Lian nodded and immediately did as Lugg said. Sure enough, unlike Lugg, Lian felt like the crowns were now void. Other than the fact that they still absorbed Star Energy, they didn't do anything else. 'What about Carol, Duran, and Tuly? Will they become unable to use Star Energy?'
-That you will have to test yourself. I have no idea.-
Lian didn't want to waste time and immediately woke up Carol.
"Errr... why are you bothering me so early. It's not school time yet," said the somewhat absent-minded woman.
"What school, girl? Wake up already. We need to use as much time as possible to learn how to use Star Energy!" Lian could only use that excuse.
*Bam!*
He then kicked Duran on the other side, much to the latter's rage. "Fuck you! Is that how you wake up a friend?"
"Wake up your ass! Do you think I can't tell you weren't sleeping? Get up already, and let's practice Star Energy." Lian then looked at the two before asking them, "You still remember how to gather Star Energy, right?"
Immediately, the two focused on the Star Energy around themselves and were indeed able to gather Star Energy. "Pretty much."
Lian sighed in relief, telling Lugg, 'At least their Star Energy absorption and controlling weren't affected.'
However...
"That's weird," said Carol. "I feel like the Star Energy is many times harder to control today than it was yesterday. I can barely move it at all."
Duran couldn't agree more. "That's true. Why is that? Could it be related to how tired we were yesterday? Perhaps the condition of our body affects how much we can use. For example, our muscles are aching after everything that happened yesterday."
Carol nodded in agreement. "Perhaps you're right." Right after, she looked at Lian, asking him, "How about you, Lian?"
Lian immediately tried to control his Star Energy. "It seems just like it was yesterday."
"Eh?!" Carol and Duran were taken aback. "Why only you?"
"Even if you ask me..." Lian pretended he didn't have an answer.
However, Lugg was talking with Lian about this issue right at this moment. -With their crowns awakened, it obviously made controlling their Star Energy much, much easier. After all, it's us who make it possible. Now that they've returned to their dormant states, the two of them will have to rely on themselves to absorb it.-
Lian agreed with Lugg. 'Indeed. In that case...'
Lian then went to find Tuly, who was still lying naked with Grisa beside him. As he tried to ignore the scene, he spoke with Tuly. "Tuly, do you feel any difference in your Star Energy control since yesterday?"
Tuly opened his eyes, a little annoyed. "What? Can't you wait before we get up?"
Hira, who just happened to be passing by the door, snorted in response. "Don't fall for his lie, Lian. The only thing that will get up is his dick. There's no way Grisa and Tuly were satisfied with that amount of sex yesterday. He's just gathering energy at the moment."
Tuly obviously didn't like Hira's words. "Are you looking for a beating? Don't forget I'm a Level Three Star Energy Warrior now."
"Yeah, yeah, whatever..." Hira shrugged his shoulders and continued walking as if he didn't hear anything.
Tuly then looked at Lian, who seemed to be serious about his question. Soon after, he raised his hand and tried to control the Star Energy from the surroundings. "Hmm... I don't feel any difference whatsoever. If anything, I can control even more than when I was at Level Two. Is that what you wanted to know?"
Lian nodded. "Yes, thanks."
"Cool! Now, leave me alone. This man here has some business with a certain woman who's pretending to be sleeping," said Tuly with a playful smile.
Lian could only leave the room after that as the sounds of moans once again echoed behind him. However, Lian was focused on his conversation with Lugg. 'Even though his crown became dormant again, Tuly doesn't seem to be affected by it.'
However, Lugg wasn't surprised. -That makes sense. Tuly has been practicing Star Energy for many years. Until now, he never had support from his crown. Not to mention that he didn't really try his power after he entered Level Three. For him, it's as if nothing had happened at all. He was already used to using Star Energy on his own.-
Lian nodded. 'That means Carol and Duran are now what people should be when they first learn how to use Star Energy. That's the amount of Star Energy they were supposed to be using from the very start. If they wanted to improve, they would need to do what Tuly and everyone else did, which is to train a lot. At least the awakening of Tuly's crown helped him Level Up.'
Lian then mentioned something else. 'However, Lugg. I don't think their crowns will stay dormant forever.'
-I agree,- said Lugg. -As time passes, whatever is preventing their sentience from awakening will start losing its power. No, it's better to say that the Star Energy their crowns absorb will weaken the power that prevents their sentience from awakening.-
Lian agreed with Lugg. 'That's one more reason to start training Star Energy Absorption as soon as possible.'
"Alright, Tuly said that there's nothing wrong with his Star Energy Control and Absorption. I believe you two just lack training, so let's take a look at the manuals Grisa brought yesterday."
*Moan!*
"...while we try to ignore those two, of course." Lian hoped they didn't do that too often.
