Chapter 1: 1. The curse
A long time ago, there lived a notoriously cruel, evil, and vindictive man. He would kill anyone and everyone, who so much as blinked at him wrong. He does not care whether his victims are high royal officials or simple village children. He would slay them in the cruelest and most painful way possible. There was even a time, when he forced a man to eat the remains of his slain family, blinded him, cripple him, and then left him to suffer the pain of what he was forced to do.

As the man's crime and sins continue to pile up, the Emperor declared him the number one enemy of the nation.
When the man was eventually executed, due to the number of sins he committed, a ritual was performed to burn and seal his soul to the Earth for all of eternity. And sealed in a mountain. They had done a ritual every ten years to weaken his powers and never reincarnated his soul.

100 hundred years later.
Two sworn sisters married into King Bai's family. They swore to honor, trust, and care for each other. However, as the Master of the house begins to favor the older sister and declare her the Queen of Bai, the younger sister began plotting her sworn sister's demise, but could not bring herself to initiate it.
A few more years went by like this. And they got both pregnant same time.
The older sister gave birth to a baby boy and was praised and celebrated throughout the town. The younger sister bore a daughter and was given 5000 gold bars and two chests full of Jewels, but was ignored even more. It ignited her hated and jealousy more.
Another year had gone like this.
As Bai Yun, the older sister's son approached his first birthday, King Bai declared him the heir to the Bai throne. This was the last tip that caused the younger sister to finally initiate her plan.

As the months slowly pass by, the queen slowly fell ill. King Bai ordered the younger sister to call for the best physician to treat the Queen.
However, since she was the one who was slowly poisoning the Queen, she paid and threaten the best physician to assist her. So even though the physician detected traces of poison in the Queen, he lied to the King and that he did not find anything wrong with Queen's body.
As the Queen's health deteriorated, even more, the younger sister convinced King Bai to bring in a seer.
King Bai was reluctant, however, upon seeing how thin and pale his beautiful Queen has become, he agreed.

"Your majesty, please spare my life, but I can't tell lie to you... Your Majesty The Queen is cursed." The seer hesitated at first but still told King Bai.
"Impossible!! Queen Tain Shu is a kind Queen. Her karma should be good." The King shouts while flipping the table. He loved Queen Tain shu most of his wives.
Sacred from his outburst, The seer begged to show mercy and asked him to give him some time to prove himself. Then the seer again, reads Queen's palm and aura, he asked "Did Queen give birth recently? Queen Tian is cursed. That child is an omen, it is shown in Queen Bai's aura. It will bring destruction upon Queen Tian and the whole Dai family."
"Nonsense." King Bai whipped his blue sleeve shot his sword and pointed it at his neck. "You speak one ill word again my heir. I'll take your life here this instant." It scared everyone there and they all kneeled to beg for mercy.
As the seer immediately falls to the ground and begins begging for forgiveness, the second miss of the house Tian Mi quickly comes to the seer's aid.
Coming in front of him she kneeled down, eyes filled with tears she begged him, her voice was choked from grief. "My King please forgive miss Tian, but miss Tian beg of your greatness to take this into consideration. We have already brought in the best doctor in town and he could not find anything wrong with Queen Tian. Miss Tian is truly worried sick about Queen Tian, and cannot bear to see Queen Tian get any more ill." She Sniffed and then continue "Please your highness, for the sake of Queen Tian, Miss Tian beg of you, at least hear the seer out." She looked up to him and begged with pitiful eyes.
Seeing her too worried about her sworn sister King Bai sighed at their strong relationship.
As King Dai sighs and thinks about what he should do, the Dowager queen spoke in her majestic tone. "My King, what miss Tian said does have merit. If the child is an omen, the Bai family must resolve this as soon as possible. I too, also urge your greatness to think this through."
The King did not want to believe the old seer's nonsense, however, as his mother had pointed out, what miss Tian said did make sense. The best doctor in town did not find anything wrong with Queen Tian, yet she cannot talk, walk, or eat. In fact, she was barely conscious. King Bai did not want to believe that his child was the cause of this, but he also cannot let his wife die.
So he reluctantly waved his hand for the old seer to continue after taking back his sword.
"Many thanks, King Bai." The seer kowtows. He was scared too much just now and going to spit out all the truth. He thought he was going to die today. But with Miss Tian saved him, he felt grateful.
"What is your proof?" The King questioned him. His eyes narrowed and filled with a dark glint as telling the seer if he dared to lie he should die.
As the seer gets up and bows his head, he tells the King, "Your son's destiny should have ended, yet he is still here. He is living a life of luxury and royalty when that is not his destiny. According to the heavens, he should have died early. But as living, he is going against heaven. In return, The Heavens punished those who helped him. The karma that should have fallen on him is now being placed onto the Bai family's fate. This is why Queen Tian is receiving such fate and the Bai family is going through this misfortune."
