"Ready"
Gil and Jem, both dashed forward each with there respective sword in there right hand. When they where about 10 foot apart Jem had already brought her sword into a slash, Gil had to do the same to block the blow. As the two swords met Gil was instantly sent flying backwards due to the strength of Jem. Flipping in the air and landing Gil looked back up and saw Jem standing where she was a second ago.
"You wont beat me in strength so please use your powers" Jem asked.
Gil charger in again like before prompting Jem to do the same, as she slashed her sword with more power then before, Gil fired some water needles at her head. Jem corrected her slash and blocked the water needle, as she lowered he blade she saw a large earth wall in front of her, and presumed Gil was hiding behind it. As she approached the wall started to fall forward causing Jem to instinctively raise her hands and block the wall, out of the corner of the wall Gil came running low and fast.
"I think thats one each" Gil said as he had his blade at Jems stomach
"Yeah..." Jem said through her teeth. "Can you help with the wall its a bit heavier then i can handle at the moment. Gil raised a pillar taking the weight of Jem and allowing them both to escape before it all went back into the ground.
"One more go and no tricks" Jem said walking away 20 feet.
"Your the one that said you wanted me to use my powers, I can fire non stop until one of us falls" Gil said.
"How about just one element, what ones do you have" Jem asked
"Fire, water, earth, wind, magma, sand some more and then theres combinations of others" Gil offered.
"How about just fire" Jem said a bit shocked
"Alright" Gil said taking a fighting stance, making a ball of fire in his left hand and holding his sword upside down. Jem started running to Gil but stopped after a few steps.
"Are you serious" Jem said looking around as Gil had 8 orbs of fire floating in the air.
"What you said just fire, i can do several things with just fire" Gil offered. "I wouldnt do that with just your hand" Gil said as he saw Jem about to poke one
Jem stepped back and poked it with the tip of her sword, causing it to explode and flames to envelope the tip of her sword. Gil recalled all the orbs of fire back into his hand and closed it extinguish the flame.
"Im only powerful due to the verity of skills i can use, im not as strong as someone like your self and against people like Tash that has to only focus on one power not one of mine is equal" Gil said. "How about I just use 10 flame spears" Gil offered showing her a simple flame spear.
"Thats fine, ill limit my strength" Jem compromised, as the two walked to a suitable distance again they turned and started to charge. As Gil got to around 6 feet apart he suddenly stopped, Jem had already started her swing and due to Gil stopping it missed. The second it went past Gil he charged forward, Jem brought her sword in increasing her spinning speed allowing her to block the incoming sword.
Jem was still powerful enough with the limited strength to push Gil back, but not as far as before. As Gil was sliding backwards he fired 2 flame spears one after the other, the first one hiding the second. Jem slid her left leg out avoiding the spears, from Gils perspective he could see a gate open and the spears fly through so the team behind them didnt have to worry about it. Jem pushed of the ground rushing to Gil with the large moon sword still behind her, Gil charged forward again and fired 2 more spears with slightly different timings and speed hoping to throw Jem of. Jem sidestepped the first one and brought the sword down cutting the other in half, then continuing the charge forward.
When Gil was about 5 feet from Jem with the large sword coming closer, Gil slid past and was about to turn when saw the curved part of the moon sword wrapped round his neck.
"Guess that would make it 2-1" Jem joked
"Check behind you" Gil replied
As Jem turned she saw 6 flame spears aimed at her legs, chest, arms and head.
"Draw" Jem sighed moving her sword and Gil released the flame spears "How did i perform for the mighty Silver"
"I prefer Gil, but that was very good. I never limit myself to one power i just use what i feel is the best meaning i have a preference on some. Next time ill use wind or water" Gil said standing up "How did i do"
"Your powers are a pain to deal with im guessing, you seem to be good up close and at range but like you said if you had to only use one power then you will probably notice weakness you would have compensated for with another element" Jem said looking round for Tash and Tim
As the two of them found Tash and Tim it looked like they where evenly matched. Tim would fire arrows and use the power of the wind to increase the speed and Tash would then make ice daggers to meet them. Tash could fire the daggers faster then Tim but Tim would use the wind to move around quickly and due to the increased speed his shots seemed to be stronger. After watching for a bit longer Jem noticed something and made a noise.
"Just noticed" Gil asked
"Yeah, the broken ice shards are slowly reforming, at this rate Tim will have a foot frozen and wound be so quick to move around" Jem said
"Yeah, we practiced this the other day, when we done it I also added some mist in there to speed the process up and better hide the ice but this will work just as well" Gil added, after a minute Tim put his foot down near the ice and was busy notching an arrow to see the ice block that formed round his leg. Just when he was about to move again he felt the extra weight, looking down he saw the ice block and raise his hands in defeat knowing Tash could have fired some more daggers when he looked down. The two walked up and started talking before making there was to Gil and Jem.
"Sai, how was it" Tash asked
"Shes very strong, full power i went flying back" Gil answered "What about him"
"Good control of his power and combining it with his bow" Tash asked.
"Alright, please switch with the other person" Sarah called out before Gil and Tash could ask anything else, looking over at Jem and Tim they where doing the same. Tim and Gil made there way to an open area.
"What did Jem say about my power" Gil asked walking with Tim
"Tricky and annoying, what did Natasha say about mine" He asked
"Good overall control" Gil answered, walking to a suitable distance, to Tim annoyance Gil sheathed his sword on his back freeing both his hands. Tim thought he was being looked down on as he lifted his bow and grabbed an arrow.
"Ready" Gil called
"Ready.....3...2...1....GO" Tim called out.
Tim started by firing an arrow with no wind helping to see how Gil would respond, before firing one with the full power of the wind with it, the two arrows arrived almost at the same time with the first aimed slightly to the left of Gil and the other slightly to the right. Gil Fired two earth needles, one at each arrow, the slower arrow was stopped by the needle and the quicker one broke through the needle. Gil moved to the left allowing the fast one to fly past, looking back he saw a small gate open and the arrow go through.
Turning back round Gil saw Tim running to the left at a quick pace with another arrow ready to fire, letting this one go it shot towards Gil fast like before. This time Gil fired an earth spear towards the arrow, as the two met the arrow didnt break the spear but both of them where shot of course.
"Not strong enough" Gil thought to himself, looking up he saw Tim had stopped moving looking at the arrow fly of course, suddenly it change direction and came back to Gil. Gil activated mana detection and saw some green mana around it which meant Tim was moving it with wind.
"Interesting" Gil mumbled before making a sheet of magma for the arrow to hit and melt in.
"Show me what Jem meant by annoying" Tim called out
"Okay" Gill yelled back.
Gil raised one hand making several earth spear behind him and made the Tips of them turn to steel, with the other hand he made the ground below Tim rumble a bit. Due to the fight with Tash, Tim was conscious of the ground and felt it moving. Using his power Tim jumped up and used a powerful gust of wind to project him higher, whilst also grabbing the same number of arrows as spears behind Gil.
"Please work" Gil thought as he tried [Mana implode] on the mana under Tims feel, causing the organised green partials to fire out in different directions throwing Tim in a random way.
Tim didnt have time to aim as watched the steel tipped spears fly towards him, just when they where about 50cm away they suddenly stopped and Tim hit the ground.
"I now see what she meant, what else can you do" Tim asked standing up.
"Varity of things" Gil answered retracting the spears and turning them into one small orb whilst summing other elements and changing the shape of each orb at will. "Would you like me to use a specific power in a certain way" Gil asked releasing all the orbs allowing them to either fall to the ground or disappear.
"Can you do water and at close range" Tim asked "That wouldnt give anyone a huge advantage"
"Yeah" Gil brought out his sword coating it in water. "No running around with wind to help even it out"
"Sure" Tim answered
Gil made a small orb of water and turned it into a small shield and made it spin like a min whirlpool, which was something Tilly helped him with, and charged in to Tim. Thanks to his training with Sam and Eve his reflex's had gotten better and better, as a result the fast arrows fired where being dodged. When Gil was 5 meters from Tim, the wind started to get stronger slowing Gil down, as an arrow came flying at him the wind pressure stopped making him tumble slightly. Raising the shield the arrow was thrown of track and grazed Gil arm instead of piercing his leg. Not missing a beat Gil lowed his shield and made a slash at Tim, before standing back up.
"Thats 1 point to me" Gil said checking his stats.
"What do you mean im the one that hit you and that slash wasnt near me" Tim complained
Gil turned and brought his sword down slowly performing a new form of water slash, this one was very precise and more powerful then before. It was one him and Tilly made combining the normal water slash and one made from absorbing the water mana in the air allowing Gil to put twice his normal energy in.
"Okay, guess thats your point" Tim said looking at the small cut in the ground
"Would you like a new element" Gil offered
"Was that magma i saw earlier" Tim asked.
"Yeah" Gil showed it by making an orb
"Alright lets use that, this isnt training if its easy" Tim said picking up some arrows
"Guess I shouldnt mention that the magma can melt the arrows" Gil thought opting to got with just a sword. When they where about 20 meters away Tim fired several arrows each at different speed. Gil walked towards them trying to dodge with as little movement as possible, slowly Gil started to have cuts opening on him as he got closer and closer. When he was arounfd7 meters away Gil heard a system message but walked through it.
"If he gets to 2 meters he wins" Tim though to himself as he started increasing the firing rate.
When Gil felt like he was losing to much HP he made several sheets or magma and walked straight to Tim before removing the sheets and looking at Tim.
"Well that was interesting" Tim said looking at Gil who had blood over a lot of places from all the small cuts.
"Shall we see how the others are doing" Gil asked Tim
"Sure" He responded as the both made there way to Tash and Jem.
It was a bad for both of them, one had a large advantage in close range the other on distance. The current fight seemed to be being fought at a medium distance with walls of ice blocking Jem and Tash retreating. Before either could be declared a winner Sarah called for the end.
"So what do you lot think" Tim asked Gil and Tash
"I think well progress quicker now" Gil said
"For the rest of the day you will demonstrating your powers and will be reporting back here in the morning" Sarah called out " You can train in any open area you want" She ended before walking through a gate.
"Does it ever seem like the just tell us what to do for and then leave us for several days with out checking in" Jem asked
"Im sure Leon or someone is making sure we dont slack off" Gil answered following Tim out of the training room into a less crowded one. Gil didnt find any time to look at the system message as he was constantly talking or fighting, the only time was when he dot back to his dorm.
