Synopsis
Every year, the Trial World summons chosen humans to face its brutal tests; deadly monsters, unpredictable trials, and the ever-approaching calamity that threatens to wipe out entire worlds. Only by defeating the Demon God can a minor world ascend and escape destruction.
Leon Kael, born into a renowned family, awakens a Divine Talent on the day of his summoning, an ability that makes him stronger with every attack he delivers. Power isn't gifted freely in the Trial World. It's earned, carved out in blood, sweat, and unrelenting battle.
Armed with this mysterious talent and the drive to protect everything he holds dear, Leon steps into the world of trials where every strike brings him closer to overwhelming strength. The path ahead is paved with bloodshed, glory, and the roar of defiance.
If the gods must be attacked to survive—then let them bleed.

Write a reviewIf you dont want to read everything below just know its good and there are no signs of a pokemon harem. I really like where the story is going so far. Mcs cheat is utterly busted but due to some recent world building things that have come out recently it might be needed especially if he wants father-in-law’s approval. I like the relationship so far even though we didnt get to see it build up and the other female lead seems interesting. Wpuld love to see that relationship build. My only worry is this becomes a pokemon game with the harem. As long as author keeps it within a respectable number of women its fine. There hasnt been any hints that he will have problems keeping the women few tho as mc hasnt had any interactions with other women that are sus besides the first two. Also its great having a charecter use almost exclusively the sword would be nice for him to delve into the sword path more down the line as i assume there will be some cultivation elements. Other than that great work i dont remember being bothered by any writing errors or thinking every 5 seconds that this was AI writing so better than 90% of the stuff on here these days. Please stick woth this one author
😮💨 Leon is just arrogant , it's not even fun to read he's what E rank and can kill s-rank he's immune to time manipulation and all other debuffs he doesn't respect the people who could literally flick him to a blood mist , and the story has been more political problems then fighting the demons. and now they brought in something called a void king
The story is often compelling, but the author often seems to forget what they wrote even a couple chapters ago so you end up with a mess of contradictions and failures to follow through with previously established world building. And the MC is basically a psychopath/sociopath on a joyride, so there is that. And then you have nonsensical dramatism with the action, with the author trying to hard to impress the reader with some nonsense.
Story is ok first 50 or 100 chapters are good it starts going in a uninteresting direction after that and takes forever to get any where. Would not recommend unless your completely out of books to read.
I wish I could rate this higher but the story makes absolutely no sense. The main character has the stats of a top rank warrior but is still f/e rank and he hasn’t revisit the trial world since the start of the novel. It says that the limit of f rank is 100 points in each stat so would that make him SSS rank now?
The writing itself was ok but the character's power was excessively out of control within the first 10 chapters, it is a pure self insert power fantasy. I started to want to drop when he used 10 points out of 10,000 daily for temporary buffs and decimated his enemies but i kept reading until the author made the mc "Impossibly handsome" as a character trait as well then gave him half a dozen mixture of skills and equipment.
Reveal SpoilerEverything is good but he should have not hide his talent from Elizabeth and his parents atleast told them it was supreme talent - so that they always don't remain in doubt .No matter how much they trust him there will always be doubt that his talent do not really match extraordinary rank and they slowly think that he do not trust them to tell the truth - doubt slowly crack the trust
Overall, I think there is a really good story here, but it is also a diamond in the rough. A very rough diamond. Starting with the good, the story is interesting. Classical weak to strong, training arcs, near death experiences and all of that. It leans heavily into talents and pretty much all strength comes from their, which is a little different than other systems where talent is only a factor or maybe only a dominant factor for the mc. In this book, talent is the end all/be all for all characters. There is a harem, initially it is done well, but later it is not, especially with the 3rd addition. So with that we move into the bad. To start with the mc is either overpowering, or on death's door with no in-between. The mc nearly dies in almost the exact same way, several times throughout the novel. There is no struggle where there should be struggle, either he effortlessly handles it, or he runs into a big bad that he should no way be able to handle and gets ex machina'd. Speaking of, the mc is often given tasks that have no clear answer, but the mc magically knows the answer without any buildup or clues to lead to that point. There are several points in the book where characters lose the plot like a bad ai, with characters saying things like "for a long time they've known" but the longest they could've known was a few hours (even if those few hours were dozens of chapters) Which brings us to pacing. The mc is at F rank for literally forever, but he is easily fighting A ranks before he breaks though to E rank, which he sits at for another eternity, then he and all the other characters break through to S rank in only a couple chapters. It's kinda sorta covered with the more broad mortal->ascendant->divine categories, but that explanation isn't even given until the mc is C rank and we've already endured the F rank grind and ridiculous overpoweredness, Also still kind of a bad explanation since the typical power progression goes: fights at tier -> fights above tier -> fights way above tier -> fights above tier. Instead the power progression here immediately starts at fights way above tier -> fights the celebrity power houses (while still F rank) -> fights the gods. In addition the talent scale isn't given until extremely late (like I just read it seconds ago in the mid 300 chapters) both the mc's ex rank and later another character's saint rank talents are untethered to the talent scale initially, later an overlord talent also appears that is untethered to the scale. initially a character gives the explanation that other races have different scales, but when it is finally revealed hundreds of chapters later: there's only 1 other rank that other races have recorded that humans don't. every other talent rank is from broken people like the mc and he intuitively puts a power scale together on those, which he could've done much earlier. The author also has a bad habit of switching the narrative to nobodies at a cliff hanger. The cliffhanger and the narrative switch are fine, but the switch should be to characters we know or who will become important later. It's really hard to keep reading when the narrative switches to characters I don't know and who will never appear again. For narrative switches to nobodies that are important to the narrative they should be brief, less than half a chapter. instead the author averages about 3 chapters with the narrative switches. Author makes some minor physics mistakes as well, such as "enemy is kicked into the distance 100km away and the sound of the explosion returns seconds later." Even with ridiculous scale battles, sound and light still need to behave right. Even if it's just nerds like me that will notice 😆. And returning to the harem, author, please talk to some real life girls, your characters aren't the worst on Webnovel, but they're still shining examples of what happens when men try and fail to write women. There's a writers discord, come up with what you want the end result to be and have some female writers help you with dialogue and actions. There are some other character inconsistencies such as the mc allegedly having routine baked into his bones and he never wakes up late, but simultaneously he always sleeps in and nearly misses important dates. He can't be both! I get that you might be trying to repeat Barry Allen's flaw, but Barry Allen is always consistently late, if he is ever on time then the cosmic rules of the DC universe unravel. Yes it's funny because he's fast, but always late. That makes him quirky. A character who is both always on-time and always late isn't quirky, he's a paradox. paradoxes are bad (unless it's the plot of a time travel story, but otherwise bad). I know I leveled some harsh criticisms here, but it's because I see the diamond underneath all that.
mc is typical girly looking man who wants to swing around a sword like a little kid and doesn't have the intelligence to use his gifts correctly.
The writing and grammar are solid. The plot at this point is completely contrived to the point where it's unbelievable. the MC is the most promising candidate to ever take the trial and gets the worst performance time in all of history. nobody seems to ask him any questions at all before they make irrational assumptions. Not was he sandbagging? was there an issue? did he up the difficulty or have an unusual talent? what were his rewards? they all just go from worshiping him to thinking that he now sucks.
Reveal SpoilerAlthough I gave it a high review, I won't be reading it. This review is for those like me who don't like when the MC hides his strength just for plot purposes. Like he took 28/30 days to complete the trial so many people who thought he was a prodigy look down on him now. Although he took that long to grind he could've cleared the trial in a few days and grinded in the practice rooms of the town. Also he was originally supposed to be a hard working person, but his talent ruins the character, it should've been only attacks on enemies count not attacking a wall.
Reveal Spoiler50 plus chapters in, thus far, it's a very good book. Love the characters and the non cliche moments, for example, the firm support of the MC regardless of the situation. The slower slice of life and good pacing in the story is a good start! I love the non betrayal of relationships thus far.
Reveal Spoilerit's nice. felt similar to "Atticus's Odyssey", but it's somehow better I think the book explores the abilities more than just the surface level. overall a nice read.

So far I am liking everything about this novel. 50 chapters in, and I can’t wait for the next chapter to be released. I like how everyone thinks the MC is weak, but isn’t afraid to show his power when is needed. I would like to see the MC get an actual sword style. I hope the author doesn’t make the MC into some kind of demon hybrid. It bothersome when the only path to power is becoming a demon.
