The next day, Magnus went out towards the dangerous parts of the barren wasteland and he looked for new monsters in the same area he found the boar.
He looked all around for monsters but there were no monsters that could be seen.
After a long time of searching many boars appeared and it was a whole herd.
Magnus wasn't as confident as he could've been but there were no other monsters. He steeled his nerves and he decided to fight.
He snuck up behind one of the boars and it didn't know he was there.
[Magnus has activated skill: Strengthening]
[Magnus has activated skill: Poisonous Sting]
His burning fingers punctured the boars side and it fell to the ground in an instant.
[Boar has been killed]
He was surprised at how easy it was.

He continued to do the same thing over and over again until all of them were dead.

He got a new piece of this boars body, he was surprised, maybe he could make an item out of it.
He decided to venture in again to meet some new monsters.
He needed to grow stronger to ensure that he would be extraordinary even among the extraordinaries. He wanted to be elite.
After thinking to himself he only realised that his skills improved, he looked at them.

His skills had raised a level and he was surprised.
It was this easy for him to gain skills let alone level them up.
As he continued to walk in the wasteland, he soon found a new monster.
It was a giant centipede.
Even though he was meters away from the centipede, it saw him and it started to chase him.

As he dug around with the poison at his fingertips, the holes he made became infested with poison and every time the centipede would come across it, it would get hurt by the poison.
Soon it emerged and it was writhing in pain from the poison in those tunnels.

The centipede writhing around on its back was blown away and it's plates started to crack.

He did it again and again until finally it was over.

Magnus walked back to the safe zone in the wasteland and the gates were the people waiting for Magnus with shining and hopeful eyes.
He walked through ignoring them because he knew how greedy they were, they'd do anything for what he has.
He went to his dirty old tent and laid on his broken bed waiting for the trader to come back.
At the most convenient timing, the trader appeared.
"I'm back with what you asked for."
"Thank you."
The plates were turned into a chest plate and it was a shining purple that had decent effects.

+10 endurance
+10 agility
Those effects were actually quite good considering it was Magnus's first ever item that he ever possessed.
"I would like to take you to the city now."
"I need monsters in order for my power to grow."
"I can bring you lots of that in the city."
"They must all have unique skills."
"Can be done."
"Ok I'll come with you."
He got in the carriage with the trader and he started asking all these questions.
"Why did you only find out that you are extraordinary now?"
"I never encountered a monster."
"Does your extraordinary power rely on monsters?"
"I need skills I think."
"Every extraordinary is born with a set of skills, there is no way for you get skills."
"That is what my power relies on, I'm sure you understand."
At this moment he realised how very extraordinary Magnus really was.
If he learned enough, he would have the power to rule the world.
"I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Lord Jared."
"I am Magnus Carlson."
Magnus was thinking about the familiar name he heard before, but he couldn't picture it.
The trader was a young bright man with blonde hair and fair skin, he looked someone of a high status.
Magnus then remembered who this person was.
"You are the Lord Jared that's reigning over most of the territories in the city."
"Yes that is me."
"Why'd you come to a place like this?"
"I came to find the special extraordinaries like you. I needed one specialised for combat because my people are not combat oriented."
It all made sense to Magnus now, why all of this happened and what he could gain from this."
"I know that you are a copycat so I will send you all my people so that you may copy from them."
Magnus was happy from all of the sudden generosity and he couldn't help but smile in front of Lord Jared.
"You will become even more extraordinary than all of the extraordinaries out there, you will be strong enough to rule this world."
Lord Jared was a little bit of a power maniac but to Magnus this was the only opportunity he'd ever get.
After a while they arrived at the city and inside the city was marvellous, everywhere it dazzled and Magnus couldn't take his eyes off anything.
"It'll take some time getting used to."
"I can tell."
They went all the way to Lord Jared's castle, one of the 3 castles that were here.
They walked outside and came his servants out to greet them.
A few of the servants showed dirty faces towards Magnus but Lord Jared was someone who wouldn't tolerate it.
"Lord Jared, why'd you bring a unextraordinary person here?" Servant A
"He is extraordinary, more than all of you will ever be."
After his remarks, they all shut-up because they knew their place and they knew what would happen if they didn't abide to it.
They walked inside the castle together and Lord Jared took Magnus to a ring.
He sent one of his people inside to have a go at Magnus.
"What's this?"
"This is what you wanted no?"
"This is exactly what I wanted."
[Guard has activated skill: Black Hole]
A massive black hole appeared in front of the arena and now Magnus knew that fighting people was going to be a lot harder than monsters.

[Black Hole has been added to arsenal]
Looks like you could only see a job occupation if you didn't know their name, now that Magnus knew that, he didn't have to worry about that.
The black hole came back stronger and it was devouring the other one, the man was scared because of his own skill and he surrendered.
He walked out of the arena limping because of the leg that got caught inside.
"Send another one in."
As soon as this person walked in, their fight started and he was much stronger than the last man, much more ruthless as well.
[Guard has activated skill: Power Augmentation]
His right arm turned red and it glowed that bright red colour that was spewing something similar to lightning.
A spark of his power flew towards Magnus but he wasn't fazed at all.
[Magnus has activated skill: Black Hole]
The black hole swallowed up the electricity but Magnus could feel it coursing through his body now, this was the only issue with this skill.
[Magnus has activated skill: Power Augmentation]
[Power Augmentation has been added to arsenal]
The guard was hit by his own skill and just like the scorpion, he was susceptible to his own power.
He fell to the floor with smoke coming out of him but he wasn't dead.
Lord Jared sent more people in and he was getting stronger and stronger very easily.

Magnus made a big haul today and after they were finished, Lord Jared took Magnus to his room, a fancy place with everything he could've dreamed of.
He was so tired that he just looked at the bed and fell asleep on it.
He was to await for the next day where he'd learn even more.
