Chapter 28: Gene-Lock Potion
Lu Fan woke up early as usual and could not help but wonder if he would ever wait for the sun to rise to awaken.
He had already adapted to it. Once it was bright enough to see, he'd wake up automatically. He was very sensitive to light.
He had spent the rest of the day yesterday setting up MIA and making sure that she adapted to the level of technology in the world.
The level 3 AI running on a level 3 supercomputer was no joke.
If need be, he could have MIA take over every device connected to the internet and do whatever the hell he wanted.
But if he did that, the whole world would go back to the dark age.
And he still had his marbles about him, there were better ways and it was not an emergency.
'Bell, draw a set.'

'Bell, I don't see any difference between the levels apart from the bare numbers.'
[Your level is too low, just upgrade already. But you should not use the level 3 stuff on things that can easily be identified. If you used the level 3 upgrade card on a car, you might get yourself a hovercraft. Where are you gonna hide it?]
[And the gene-lock potion should only be used by you at the moment. In short, just use your brain. Don't use the rewards on any random person.]
'Wait, can the rewards be used on others?'
[Yes. Except for extreme rewards, everything else can be used on others. But you should only use them on people who can keep their mouths shut.]
'What am I going to do with the royce?'
[Don't ask me. You are the one who said that the Bugatti was too loud. Honestly, just use a level 2 upgrade card and you can have a silent electric one.]
'OK. But why should I straight up use a level 3 body enhancement potion?'
[That information is above level 3. Just do it and see the results for yourself. Oh, and call Aria to stand by when you take the potions.]
Lu Fan did not know what that meant, but he just did that.
Aria was already awake anyway, there was no harm in having her watch over him.
Lu Fan took the Gene-lock potion which was luminous green and it looked quite disturbing. And the level 3, level 2, and level 1 body enhancement potions.
He wanted to take them all at once.
[Are you sure?]
'Is there a problem?'
[No. Just give Aria the body enhancement potions so that you can see the effects.]
Lu Fan felt that there was some problem, but he did not think it was anything major. At most, it'd be a bit of pain.
Taking out a second set of body enhancement potions, he went to call Aria.
"Aria, take these potions in order."
Aria did not think too much and just chugged them down without hesitation. After a minute, beads of sweat formed all over her body as her skin turned red hot. But this did not last long and soon disappeared.
"How do you feel?"
"Nothing much different. I just feel like there is a foreign strength in my body."
"Foreign? How?"
"It just feels like I can summon it at any time. I just feel that I am at least three times stronger than before."
'Bell, is this all that cultivation shit?'
[No, it's all scientific. Don't worry about it for now. Just drink your share first.]
Lu Fan did not think too much.
Opening the gene-lock potion, he took it like a champ expecting it to be disgusting, but it was unexpectedly sweet.
There was a special heat rising from his core, but he did not wait for it. He opened the three body enhancement potions and downed them as Bell instructed.
A warm current spread to his entire body as a comfortable feeling rose from his very core. He felt like some sort of abstract chain had been lifted, making him feel free and high.
This was a feeling he could get addicted to.
After a minute, the heat kept increasing and sweat started coming out of his pores.
He had seen this and did not find it strange.
His skin started turning red and he started feeling the heat. His blood was boiling as his heart pumped it throughout his body.
"Lu Fan, are you ok?"
Lu Fan heard Aria's voice filled with concern and got a bit puzzled. And then a new feeling hit him. The speed of his heart and blood hit the roof and made him uncomfortable.
Aria who was a distance away saw his bloodshot eyes and she could not help worry.
This was the first time she saw Lu Fan in such a state. She went forward to check on him, but then like a wild beast, Lu Fan pounced on her.
Aria never thought of resisting and thought that she had displeased her master, but upon seeing his eyes, she instinctively knew what she needed to do.
"Master, don't be in a hurry, Aria is here to serve you."
