Cayden loudly giggled as I flickered some of the icings on his nose. Eva grinned at her son's happiness as she pulled the other cupcakes out of the oven. She went over to this pad of buttons beside the fridge and clicked the big one in the middle. She spoke into the speaker. "Boys, cupcakes are ready."
Cayden wiped his nose and licked the icing off his vanilla cupcake. I helped continue to decorate the cupcakes as the boys entered the kitchen all but two. Brayden leaned on the table next to me and fished something out of his pockets. He showed me the screen of his iPhone, and a conversation between him and Ashton appeared. Brayden told him he wanted to talk, and Ash replied, asking them to meet up at the usual hangout.
I nodded. "This is much better. I'm tired of seeing Ash sulk around like a loser."
