Somewhere in Paris…
"Amy get ready, we have to pick up Jason in ten minutes," Beth said while picking her court from the ground.
"What? That scumbag is landing today. Oh God why this soon. You should have made his plane crush in Pacific Ocean," Dramatically Amy said.
"Wait...What? You kidding right," surprised with Amy's words, Beth asked.
"Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha, no I'm just pulling my elder sister's leg," Amy said with so much enthusiasm.
"Phew, you almost gave me a heart attack," Chanted Beth
"Alright now grandma Beth, shall we go and pick up my twin brother who I of-course despise," Amy said while leaving the house.
"Hey...wait for me as well Amy, (whispering to herself) argh this girl, if I didn't remind her about Jason's arrival, I doubt she still would have remembered," said Beth.
Beth and Amy left the house going to the airport to pick up their brother Jason. He already arrived few minutes before his sisters reached the airport. He was eagerly waiting to see his long-lasting sisters whom he last met a decade ago. So, you may know, Jason and Amy never got along because of some favours which were made when they were still young. Jason got bored and went to the airport café to grab a bottle of cold drink as he was tired from the long journey, meanwhile his sisters arrived. They waited for Jason thinking he had not yet arrived and raised their board written "Welcome Brother". The board was neatly written that it attracted many eyes onto it. The long awaiting moment passed and Jason sent a message to Beth asking where they were and that he had been waiting for them for more than three hours.
"Oh, Amy look, a message from Jason," Beth happily spoke out.
"Wait...What? He is seriously sending you a message from the plane, you know, right now I should be with my at the salon getting hair done," pissed off Amy said.
"No, he arrived three hours ago. Even us, we have been waiting for him here for three hours isn't it," said Beth.
"What a scumbag of a brother he is. So where is he now," said Amy as she crabs a chair to sit on. "He said in the café, let's go and check," said Beth.
"I'm going to kill him, sister Beth, do you get me," fiercely threatening, Amy said.
They both went to the café and spotted Jason having fun with his cold drink. On witnessing this, Amy got vexed and shouted his twin brother's name. With panic, Jason choked he was about to swallow the drink. On his first day in the city of love, he faced his sister's wrath. Amy ran towards Jason and pinned him down. Beth called out to Amy to stop humiliating themselves and talk things out when they have arrived home. She did not listen and continued to beat Jason.
The waiters intervened. They managed to break off the pin against Jason. Unexpectedly, Jason was very cool about it, went on and hugged Amy. People were confused after seeing Jason show love to his sister after getting beaten. "Don't worry, you all go back to what you were doing. These two twins will make your head explode if you take it too seriously," explained Beth.
"Hey Amy, how are you," said Jason
"I'm pissed off but alright and you scumbag," giving attitude, Amy replied.
"Wow what have you been eating; you have gotten stronger. You were about to kill me on that pin," stupefied, Jason said.
"What....do you want another beating," Amy said.
"Hell no, earlier it was hurting too much and you want to make it worse. No chance. Anyways Hello Beth. It's been so long since we last met," Jason said while hugging his big sister Beth.
"I'm good Jason. Alright, let's go home before it's dark. Shall we?" Beth said. "After you sister," Jason said.
They left the airport, took a cab which was parking outside and went home. On their way home, they passed on some interesting ventures and beautiful buildings. The inside world of Paris made Jason mesmerized. He never expected it to be that beautiful as said in the newspapers and news. They talked and talked all the way. Amy and Jason suddenly dropped into a big argument which only Beth had to solve. She (Beth) was annoyed about their unending fights. She showed the two that she can be angry as well though she was always cool. Her actions created peace for a while. Jason took his luggage, put it in the house and just sat on the sofa and suddenly slept unannounced.
"Oh, look the cry baby is now fast asleep," tormenting her brother, Amy said.
"Shake it off will you. Can't you just pass a day without speaking ill about your brother. Can't you see how cute he looks when he sleeps," Beth said.
"Yeah whatever grandma," Insulting Beth, she said.
"Hey I'm still in my twenty's, stop calling me grandma," shouts Beth.
"I'm not hearing you grandma," Amy insults Beth once again and closed her ears....
Beth was left all alone now, Jason was sleeping on the sofa and Amy went to her room. What a crazy day it has been for the three of them. They loved each other but pretended to be a mad family. Beth took a sheet from her room and spread it against Jason's body so that he won't feel cold. Meanwhile, Beth cleaned the house and unpacked Jason's luggage and managed his room so neatly. A little while after she finished all her work, she cooked dinner. Amy came downstairs as she wanted to lay a hand in helping Beth but she (Beth) denied the offer. Amy was a little bit
pissed off but she just turned back and left the house. She went to meet their friend who lived next door, named Charlotte.
"Hey Charlotte are you home," knocking on the door, Amy shouts.
"Yes Amy, is everything alright. Why the late visit," asked Charlotte?
"Argh at least invite me in first then you can ask all these questions," said Amy.
"Alright, get in," she replied.
"Remember my twin brother Beth always told you about," Amy said...
"Um I'm not sure. Was his name James...Josh...? Argh I seem not to get it right," said Charlotte.
"Not Even Close, his name is Jason. The worst part is, he is at home right now," looking unhappy, Amy responded.
"What? (Surprised) is he at home. Wow this is the best news I got for a day. Can we go and see him please, please," Charlotte emotionally asked?
"Argh you too, fine let's go," aggressively respond from Amy as she leaves Charlotte's house. "Yay, thank you Amy. You're the best," happy Charlotte said to Amy.
Charlotte and Amy left the house and went to see Jason. There they found Jason still sleeping and Beth finishing off cooking. The moment was cute and bedazzling but Amy wasn't happy at all on having her twin brother around. Like it or not, Amy had no option than to accept the current atmosphere which changed. "Hey Charlotte when did you arrive," asked Beth.
"My beautiful best loyal friend, I just came in with Amy a moment ago," replied Charlotte. "Alright, but why did Amy come to meet you so late at night," asked Beth....
"She came to see me because..." Charlotte couldn't manage to finish her sentence as she is caught off guard by Amy.
"Because I needed to see her. I so much missed her, you know," Amy replied.
"Alright now, let's sit at the table and let's eat. Food is ready," said Beth....
"Wait.... What! Food is ready. Why didn't anyone tell me," Jason immediately woke up. "Dude grow up, don't tell me you were dreaming about food all this while, huh" said Amy.
They all went on the eating table and began to eat. They had fun on spending the night together and Charlotte introduced herself to Jason and same goes for him. Though the moment was again good, Amy seemed to find a way to ruin it all. Come to think of it, Jason immediately noticed Amy was not pleased in having him around. He silenced his mouth and slipped into wonderland. Jason was a gem of a person who never wanted to surround his soul to people who were not comfortable with him. He stood as he finished eating and put his plate in a dish five steps away from the table. He returned and sat on the table again. He asked for everyone's attention and thus drew all their ears to him.
"Beth, Amy and also you Charlotte it was great pleasure to meet you. I come to a decision that I will not be staying here beginning from today and the next two months of my stay here in Paris," sadly Jason said.
"Wait...What are you saying. Where do you even want to go, you are new to the city," surprised, Beth asked.
"The city is new sister but not some faces," Jason said.
"Hold on, what do you mean the faces are not new to you," needing proper details, Beth asked.
"So, I have a friend, Carl Roy who lives here in Paris and I will be staying with him," Jason suggested.
"How in God's world do you know Carl Roy," astonished, Amy asked.
"Carl and I used to learn together in Zimbabwe before I went to Germany. Also, we were buddies back in the days. Do you know him," muttered Jason?
"Yeah he lives ten minutes' drive away from here," Amy noted "Alright, I will talk to him. Excuse me," he said.
The moment Jason excused himself from his sisters and friend, Charlotte. Beth was confused and couldn't believe what was happening. Charlotte and Beth were sad but Amy, she was feeling happy. How ruthless she was, happy to see her own twin brother leaving. She really needed help. I remember the saying, "A fool may give a wise man a counsel". That was the exact thing happening between Amy and her brother. Amy thought she was wise more than anyone and saw Jason's love to be of a burger. When would she realize how much her brother loves her?
"What's wrong with Jason all of a sudden. Why does he want to leave his sisters' house," asked Charlotte?
"What other reason could he have, this is all because of Amy. She can't stand seeing Jason. Amy so you know if anything happens to him just because of your arrogance, I will never forgive you," Beth said.
"Why am I to be held responsible for everything that happens to him," Amy said...
"why wouldn't you be held accountable? Is that even a question to be asking right now? Do you even hear yourself? You are a hypocrite Amy, I'm sorry to say. One by one you are pushing your loved ones away. First it was Mother and father, now it's Jason soon who knows maybe you will do the same to me. I feel sorry for you.
"Charlotte, please can you stay with Jason at your house because you are the only person I could rely on right now. Don't worry about your parents I will talk to them," Beth said.
"Argh come on, why does Jason have to stay with Charlotte out of all the people," Amy said.
"Shut up Amy. You are the last person I would ask for ideas on how I could make my little brother survive. Who knows maybe if I ask you to help Jason, death is the reward you will give him," Beth angrily said?
"Is this how lowly you think of me Beth, you think I would kill my own twin brother," shedding tears Amy said.
"If only you can make him leave the house in an unfamiliar city he never been before, yes that's what I would think. I rather suggest you to drop this hatred you have for him and move on. One day something sensitive will occur to you and he will be the only solution to it all," stating facts Beth warned Amy.
"Alright guys, I'm all done and ready to leave," Jason said.
"Hey, I have asked Charlotte to stay with you until you have your own job to provide for yourself. Please don't say no," Beth announced.
"Fine, only if Charlotte is Al....," Jason said and his words were cut. "I'm fine with-it Jason," Charlotte delightfully said.
"now this is weird but thanks though. Hey Amy why are you crying," Jason asked.
When Jason asked what was wrong with Amy, she quickly left and went to her room. He was worried about what had happened when he went to pack his stuff but Beth told him it wasn't anything serious to worry about. The three left and went to Charlotte's house, her parents agreed Jason stays until he had a job and an apartment, he could stay in. Charlotte helped Jason to unpack his clothes and arranged them in a wardrobe. The bond Charlotte and Jason shared at first was sourly unknown. It was now late and way passed bedtime and Jason had to sleep as well as Charlotte. Charlotte went to her room and Jason slept afterwards. He was unable to sleep due to the thought of why his sister, Amy despised him so much. She showed zero percent gratitude or love towards her twin brother. It is said twins always fight but still love each other and the relationship of twins between Jason and Amy was more confusing. Jason took some sleeping pills and that made him sleep with an immediate effect.
"Good morning Jason," Charlotte said while opening Jason's room curtains.
"Is it already morning," said Jason while stretching his arms.
"Yeah, you surely sleep like a dead man. It's now eleven o'clock," said Charlotte.
"What in God's world are you telling me," Jason said.
"Don't worry it's cool. I even brought you breakfast and there it is, you may eat then go and take a bath," Charlotte said with care.
"You really are sweet. Wish my sister Amy cared for me like this," becoming emotional, Jason said.
"Don't worry Jason she will come around but anyways what made her hate you so much like this," she asked.
"It's weird story though but let me just tell you. I have a girlfriend named Jessie Lewis and l left her back in German. She was Amy's best friend and Amy didn't want Jessie and l to date. Behind her back we began dating until one day she caught us red handed at a café. Already she hated me as our parents loved me more than her as she states and thinks. So, my relationship with Jessie made her hate me for life. But what can I do if love get in the way," narrated Jason?
"Oh, so you have a girlfriend," asked Charlotte.
"I wouldn't say girlfriend, rather I would say she is now my Fiancé. When I left German, we were already engaged. Now what's left is the wedding, which is going to take place here in Paris," Jason notified.
"Wait...What. Guess I was too late," she whispered to herself. "Did you say something," asked Jason.
"Oh no I did not. Enjoy your food and take a bath. I will be at Beth's house in case you need to join," Charlotte said.
Charlotte left Jason's room and went to see Beth after hearing her crush she has been longing to see is about to get married. She was heartbroken that she felt lost. This troubles me mostly; Paris is the city of love but why are heart breakings occurring every single day. This is painful and as a writer of this story, I wonder what I would do if I were in Charlotte's place. Jason enjoyed his food and when he was done, he went to take a quick shower. He had troubles in his life but did not put much thought into it. When he was done, he sat on the bed and took his Laptop. He began to apply for Computing Jobs and without a doubt his first job application was accepted and he had to begin to work the next day. He went to see Beth and shared the news with her and they celebrated. Amy couldn't join them as she said she was hanging out with Carl that day. Oh man, now the situation has a conflict. Did Amy say hanging out with Carl Roy, Jason's old best friend.
"Beth why did you allow her to hang out with Carl," Jason said.
"I don't see if there is a problem Jason. You are dating Amy's best friend and did l stop you," Beth said.
"That's the whole point, Carl is my best friend and I'm dating Amy's best friend. That means she doesn't love Carl but playing the dude in order to get back at me," Jason prolonged the conversation.
"Oh, yah why didn't I think of that," Beth wondered.
"Argh talk with you guys later. I need to go and check out the Eiffel tower in person," Jason said. "Okay, but please don't go where Amy and Carl are. You know a scene will be created," Beth said. "I will keep that in mind sister," Jason replied.
