Chapter 74: Home
Christie narrowed her eyes upon seeing that person.
" Haola!! You seem to forget me.. How could it be like that?? And here I was thinking that you would be missing me.." said that person stepping closer to Christie.
"Huh!! In your dreams..." Christie scoffed at him , rolling her eyes. She turned around to move forward when that person took large steps to come close to her and tried to grasp her wrist.
But before that he could come in contact with Christie's skin, there emitted an electric spark from Christie's wrist and that burnt the fingers of that person.
"Ouch!! What was that??" he asked with a painful expression while holding his hand.
" You have guts.... to show me your face... Charles..." said Christie with a very calm voice but emitting a dangerous aura around her at the same time.
Yupp!! Charles.. Who had tried to catch Christie with the devil.. but right at the moment, Matthew came there and protected her ..
How could Christie forget that the person who she thought of her cousin , could take such a step. She didn't tell all those things to her father because Matthew had stopped her from doing so. Matthew forbade her to tell anything to Alexender because he wanted to get into the roots of the very link that could harm Christie. And moreover, he knew that Charles couldn't do no harm to Christie.
And , he was right believing that.
Charles was holding his hand that was having burnt fingers. He had a look of shock and disbelief on his face. He could feel the deadly pressure emitting from Christie. He was finding it hard to breathe.
" You can't escape from me, Christie. I am again repeating it, you are mine and mine only..." saying this, he took a minute to shoo off from that place as he didn't expect from Christie to emit such a dangerous aura. He had to tell it to his lord, the devil.
Seeing him escape, Christie couldn't help but make her face in disgust.
She was very happy when she gotta know about Charles, her cousin brother. Being only child, she had spent her childhood alone. She really wanted to have some brother or sister and she got Charles. She really liked him as he was there to accompany her when she didn't know anyone here. He could make her laugh. He was such a jolly person. And Christie really liked him but only as a brother, nothing else. But he had really hurt her when he was with her enemy on her birthday, trying to capture her. Christie was still wondering what made Charles to behave like that.. She never made him feel that way.. Never.. Ever...
"Urhhhh!!!" Christie shook her head with the irritation caused by sudden appearance of Charles .
Now, as exams were over and she had to visit her home, she had to be cautious of Charles and of course, her aunt, Barbiana.. Matthew had told her that it was her aunt who had manipulated Charles. Though, they still didn't know the true intention of Christie's relatives, but still they had to be aware of them.
Christie came back to her room where Harmoine and Lulla were already present with their packed luggage.
"What are you late, Christie? We have packed everything. You check if there is anything left," said Lulla.
While Harmoine looked at lost Christie. She held her hand and inquired," What happened?"
"Ahmm... Nothing.." Christie shook her head. " Have you got everything ready??"
" Yup!! And yours is also ready. Pa is coming to take us home." said Lulla enthusiastically.
" I will miss you.." whispered Christie in a low tone.
" Awww.. We too.. We will visit each other. Alright.."
"Yeah.... "
The trio hugged each other and bade good bye.
It was Harrison who was going to take her home. She said goodbye to Lulla and Harmoine as they had got message to arrive at the main gate where Harmoine's father was waiting for them.
After they left, Christie checked her luggage.
Now, when she was all alone, her thoughts wandered off to Matthew. They were in touch with messages being delivered to each other. Christie knew how important was it for her to gain her strength back.
"It would take time ," she sighed when there was a message flashing that Harrison was waiting for her at the main gate.
Christie saw that Harrison was waiting for her with Grace. After exchanging greetings, Harrison told Christie that Grace would be accompanying them. Christie nodded her head without asking any questions as she was still lost in Matthew's thoughts.
Her train of thought was interrupted when the car they were travelling in, came to a sudden halt.
And there were they. At the entrance of the grand palace of Alexender. The guards came running forward to open the door. They bowed their head in unison upon seeing Christie getting out of the car.
Christie looked at the grand palace. She didn't gotta spend much time there. But it was her home.
"Oh my baby girl!! Finally You are here. Papa missed you so much, dear...." came a familiar voice behind her and Christie turned around to see that Alexender was coming towards her with fast steps.
" Papa!! " She also ran towards him and hugged him," I missed you too."
Yes!! She missed him..
