Synopsis
Jonathan's life hadn't exactly gone to plan. He was rejected from his college's master's program, and the summer he's spent working on it independently hasn't produced much. But one night, working late at Ghouls 'n' Brews cafe, a fateful meeting with a stranger could change everything.
Soon, Jonathan's life is plunged into the supernatural. What will it mean for Jonathan when he crosses paths with a vampire? And what will it mean when their fates become intertwined?

“And I should think…” the vampire said quietly, barely above a whisper to Jonathan. “That you wouldn’t have been thinking about whether this would happen since you saw me if you were not as interested in me as I am in you.”
The vampire leaned in, and Jonathan closed his eyes as their lips met.

I. Want. More. 🥀🦇 The slow pace of the first couple of chapters enticed me, as well as the more realistic setting. Don’t be fooled about a seemingly slow start, once it picks up, it captures you and you just can’t let go. I usually read more fantasy-aligned stuff, but this book was such an incredible departure from my usual reads. The characters, the love triangle, the romance—my heart was literally pounding in anticipation at times!! I hope Gibson O’Malley updates soon, because I have SO many questions.
