Chapter 12: Chapter 12: Going to the Mall (1\3)
After waking up with a headache and squinting his eyes John looked around and found himself on a military cot then reached for his ear to check if the pip-boy was still on him he let a long tired sigh out as he looks around the room.
Finding that he was inside the Galaxy News Radio building by looking around at old industries size recording devices and speakers. He looked over towards the doorway and heard some people talking about the security of the place now that it's been reinforced with some steel and metal all along the windows and at the back entrance, and also about what the enclave has been up to in the Capital Wasteland now. I walked out to see Sarah Lyons without her power armor on and carrying her rifle over her shoulder talking to Vargas and another Brotherhood member in the hallway, she looks back and waves while saying in a sarcastic voice, "How'd you sleep, Vault boy?"
I looked at her and said, "Oh you know, just like a baby after nearly blowing myself with a mini nuke, other than that no complaints." While walking towards Sarah I see a guy on top of the stairs was walking down all holy with his arms and hands spread open like he was giving a sermon.
"Welcome to Galaxy News Radio where we fight the good fight I'm you're host Three dogs," he ends it with a bow and stands up and looks at me. It seems three dog was trying to butter me up for some reason which I probably know what it is. As three dog walked up to me he placed his hand on my shoulder and said, "Hey so I'll like to talk to you about a proposal I have and I know you want information about your dad but I need you to do me a favor."
When I heard that I knew he wanted me to go fix the satellite dish so I said without him saying anything, "You want me to fix you up with a brand new satellite dish so your signal not cutting out to everybody in the wasteland am I right?" That's when both Three dog and Sarah Lyons looked at me speechless.
"I figured you wanted to ask me that", pointing up, "because of the signal not reaching over towards megaton or the other settlements." He looked at both of them while he walked over to the table to retrieve his gear.
Lyons walked behind him and tapped on his shoulder making John turn around.
"Look I know you're probably thinking that you know some stuff about what's going on out here but, to be frank, there's a lot nastier shit that within the dark out here so I'll make an offer join the brotherhood of steel you'll be part of something that can back you up with supplies and resources while looking for your father, what do you say John?"
While Sarah watches as John puts his jacket and flack vest on she was wondering if he was thinking about the offer she gave him, then three dog walked up to John and said, "Look, son if you go I'll give you any and all information I have on your dear old dad and on anything else out there in the Capital Wasteland how about kid are going to fight the good fight?"
John looks at both of them and said, "I'll think about your offer and I'll go for the disk you'll know when your signal is up and running at full strength but where do I put the replacement at?" as he asked about the location of where to put the new satellite dish I was also worried about the system because I didn't hear from it for a while.
'Hey system are you alright I haven't heard from you in a while are you updating or something?'
*Sorry for the late notice but I was compiling information on serious subjects in you're memories of various games you've played* I was stunned and also worried about what the system would put into its store or maybe find it in the world.
After an hour of talking three dog told me the location to put the new satellite dish and the code for the gate to enter the Washington Monument. As I was heading out Lyons told me about how I can go on foot by exiting the building and northeast, then I left GNR and headed there on foot and luckily I didn't need to head underground seeing as most of the buildings were not blocking the way.
