Later in the afternoon, Aurora decided it was finally time to visit her friend Mary. With a slice of birthday cake carefully tucked into her basket, she set out. The sun cast a warm glow over her, her hand gently caressing the necklace now wrapped around her neck. She couldn't stop staring at it, and for the first time, a thought crossed her mind: "What were her real parents like, and why did they abandon her?"
