Chapter 2: Chapter 2

Shiki sighed as he shifted his view back to the normal world. He turned around as he observed their faces. Romani broke the silence "What was that?" Shiki sighed "Whatever is said stays with you and you only." He shifted his eyes once again as Romani observe the change before answering "Mystic Eyes, but what kind?" Shiki answered "I possess the mystic eyes of death perception. Which is why I don't want this getting out."

Fujimaru asked "What are mystic eyes of death perception?" Mash also nodded as she had learned about mystic eyes but never heard of the death perception mystic eyes. Romani responded "They are almost a myth, no one had really confirmed the existence of the eyes. They are ranked highest among the noble colours system, Rainbow. On par with the Crimson Moon's mystic eyes and Balor's mystic eyes."

Mash and Fujimaru looked at him in wonder.

Romani nodded "Don't worry, staff under Chaldea are entailed to full secrecy." Shiki nodded before they regrouped only to hear a scream.

The scream soon led to a distressed Olga with skeletons chasing after her. Shiki and Mash soon took care of the skeletons with ease while Shiki simply erased them.

They soon gave a run down until Olga looked at Shiki before giving him a scolding speech which Shiki tuned out.

~~~~
Shiki was tired, that was an understatement. Never would he have imagined that he would have to fight another servant and ally with another one as well. Finally he would get a break after one more fight. The dark looming cave stood in front of them as the Caster servant faced off with the Archer servant.
~~~~

Her name was Arturia Pendragon, Saber Class Servant of the Fuyuki Grail War now blackened and a figment of her former self. She was an Alter, Saber Alter, an entity entirely different yet not from the original. She was the inverse.

She'd been there when her Master had been killed right in front of her eyes, and wasn't able to do a single thing. The Grail War had been won, the tainted grail destroyed, but the unexpected occurred in the form of a man who appeared with another Holy Grail. Everyone was tired and exhausted, and the man was no push over.

Once again, Shirou had thrown himself in the line of danger, and for what? All of it was to save her after the man named Lev had gotten her trapped in the tainted mud left behind by the corrupted grail. The original Saber could only watch and struggle in the mud as her Master was stabbed through the heart and murdered.

She opened her eyes as she thought back to when that man had given her a grail.

Lev had given her the Holy Grail he'd been holding and restarted the Fuyuki Holy Grail War. She'd thought him a fool to power her up until she became aware of Lev's objective, and what role she was now forced to play within it.

She grimaced as the group entered the cave. Her eyes widened for a bit as an image of Shirou overlapped the black haired boy for a moment. Saber shook her head before thinking "That is not Shirou. He only looks similar." She set her eyes on the purple haired girl, her knees bent before she sprung at a high speed before slashing at the girl who had put up a shield in time.

Shiki watched as Artoria lifted her blade high up before charging magical energy. Mash was unable to release her noble phantasm as she couldn't even get up despite unlocking her noble phantasm previously. Shiki grimaced as he shifted his eyes before observing the lines on the incoming bast. Saber once more was challenged with her conviction as the boy moved in front of the group while the resemblance tore at her heart.

She grit her teeth as she swung the darkened blade down at the group only to witness a shock she would never experience. Olga watched as the magic blast dissipated as Shiki cut the blast with his knife.

During his final battle with Roa, he had understood what death truly meant. The end of all things, that was what death was. The end of an existence, no matter what it was, if it existed it could be killed.

Artoria watched those icy blue eyes latch onto her. Shiki blocked out everything except for the lines and points on the enemy servant. This was the method he had devised to use his eyes at full strength. The fragility of the world disappeared as the strain vanished along with the broken view. The sky returned to normal and so did the ground in his view.

Artoria grimaced, those eyes saw the end of all things. Shiki kept on walking as he focused on the lines and dots. While others were thinking of how to survive, his instincts only thought of the fastest way to kill something. Lines and dots spread throughout her body as he soon broke out into a sprint.

Artoria's instincts screamed at her the moment Shiki was within two meters distance. She moved quickly as she flipped in the air while swinging her blade to meet Shiki. While Shiki's eyes could not keep up with the speed of the blade, he could however track all of the lines and points therefore locating where the blade would be.

Shiki's blade shifted as he simply let the blade swing at him before placing his knife where it met no resistance as Excalibur Morgan broke. Sliced cleanly with only half a blade left. To something like his mystic eyes. Defence was not a word in his dictionary.

The two meter mark, he was deadly within two meters. Artoria propper what remained of her blade up to defend only for her to swing around to find a knife piercing her armour. That was it, the knife pulled out as she started to disappear.

Shiki sighed as he stood up as the victor only for him to kneel down in exhaustion. His eyes flickered as he struggled to shift his perspective. The world returned to it's normal look as the sky stopped threatening to fall and the ground to collapse.

Artoria despite having lost was not unhappy nor was she mad. The boy in front of her was similar, very similar to the Shirou that her old self knew. She sighed as she disappeared for good.
