Chapter 3: So..Where Am I?

Fuyuki City,

Luke POV,

Luke stood up dusting his clothes off. For some reason he found himself sitting on the ground when he woke up here and before the previous events ensued he had actually questioned himself about not having smoked something. Nonetheless, rejecting that thing had completely made him understand that he had in fact, transmigrated into another world.

"Where the hell am I though?" he muttered out scratching the back of his head, he looked towards the road in hopes of catching onto something but so far it was just the normal world. He shook his head, waiting here wasn't going to shit. So he started walking away with his hands in his pockets, the first order of business was to find out where he was.

Walking onto the road he noticed something immediately, these cars were outdated. "Well...that sucks." he remarked with a slight chuckle, he liked cars to a certain extent. These cars however were older models of the ones he liked. He looked at the various shops and nodding in affirmation, he was in Japan, of course he was. Where else would he be?

His...appearance attracted quite the attention from the crowd but he didn't bat an eye to it. He was oblivious..no, he just didn't give a fuck about it. He looked at one of the window mirrors of the shops and smiled in appreciation, "Damn...I'm hot." he said with a chuckle before shaking his head, he didn't have time to care about this. He had snow white hair, scarlet eyes, a sharp jaw and several piercings in his ears giving him a wilder look than necessary. His hair was slicked back for the most part but was parted from the front making some of it fall over the side of his eyes.

But, as a man, it was certainly nice to have such an alluring appearance, he understood that much. He looked around curiously, ignoring the, by now, blatant stares he was getting and noticed a newspaper stand. He walked over to it at a relaxed pace and picked one up making the owner look up curiously.

He rubbed his chin with a thoughtful look on his face, giving off the image that he was really focused on it, "Don't get shit alright." he said nodding to himself.

What did you expect? He wasn't Japanese nor was he a hardcore Otaku. He was half German, half Italian. Not even remotely similar to the Japanese people.

"Will you buy this, sir?" the man asked politely, the Japanese people are generally polite by nature so this wasn't something rare though more older people tend to have a certain distaste for foreigners for some reason. Luke look at him curiously, "Me no speako whatever the fuck you speako." he said chuckling, he didn't get what the man said okay?!

He looked the newspaper over once and sighed in relief when he noticed that the date was written in numbers and not some other form of writing. "2004." he muttered out, making a mental note of the date, this narrowed down the list even if slightly. He slightly hummed while walking away from the stand with a small smile on his face, one other thing he noticed was that he was quite tall compared to the people here.

So far he hadn't noticed anything really out of place and for all he knew, he could be in a regressed version of the normal Earth. He had already decided what he was going to do today, he was going to find out where he was. He was slightly uncomfortable knowing that he had no money at all on him right now but he knew that pursuing wealth wasn't the best idea with his life in potential danger.

He slightly grinned, this was exciting in it's own way though. Life in danger meaning someone to take his life, someone to take his life meaning someone coming at him fully ready to die! That is what he thought about every single person that had tried to kill him and for him, there was nothing more respectable than such resolve.

"I declined my cheat." he said nodding, it's not like most of these people would be able to clearly interpret what he said correctly and even if they did, it wouldn't make much of a difference. He touched his face curiously, every sensation he had felt so far was realy, he could feel the gentle breeze against his skin as he walked on the paved path. He could hear the sounds of cars passing by the road clearly.

Each single passing person had a different and varying expression. This was a real world alright. He felt nothing robotic about anything here at all, nothing felt automated. It was all too "real" to be written off as a hallucination. Unfortunately, he got a little bit too absorbed in his surroundings and ended up bumping into someone making said someone fall over.

Luke looked at the person curiously not bothering to offer his hand, even though it was his fault. He WAS an asshole after all. "Hmm." The 'girl' looked familiar for some reason, it felt like he had seen her somewhere before. "I'm sorry." the girl apologized bowing her head, she wasn't looking either so it was her fault not the stranger's.

He waved his hand in dismissal once he noticed what she was doing from her body language, she was apologizing to him instead. She bowed her head once again and ran off to join a teenage boy that had been waiting for her. Luke looked at the boy in confusion, their hair colors aside, these two looked really really familiar, however, he just couldn't place it.

The boy had short auburn hair and golden-brown coloured eyes with a, some might say, attractive appearance and the girl had violet hair, which she styled with a red-pink ribbon on the left side, and violet eyes. He couldn't speak Japanese either so he had no way of asking either. "I wonder why?" he wondered out loud, continuing his walk only to immediately turn around and go after them at a fast pace, his hands out of his pockets.

He tapped the boy's shoulder making him turn around confused, "What's your name, kid?" he asked with a bland face, maybe that wasn't the best way to go about it but he didn't know any other. The boy looked at him confused for a few moments before his eyes lit up, he had managed to understand what the foreigner said!

"Shirou Emiya." Shirou replied with a small smile, maybe this would help the stranger out in some way though his action made Sakura who was by his side, sigh helplessly. He just gave his identity to a stranger, nonetheless she too looked at the stranger curiously. Luke froze in place for a few moments, "Thanks." he said leaving.

"Hmm...I wonder what he wanted." Shirou said slightly confused, he didn't really get what the stranger wanted from him. "Senpai..." Sakura looked at him worriedly but nonetheless both went on their way.

Luke who had gone quite the distance away from them now was for the first time in a long long time actually grinning, "Holy fuck..." he said looking at the sky, a world where being a walking nuke isn't much. Those two names confirmed it, he was in Fate. It was probably Fate/Stay Night but it could be a number of other series too.

He couldn't really be sure of anything right now but what he was sure of was that he was in the Nasuverse, one of the most broken and dangerous verses out there. "Damn..." he trailed off, and in such a verse he had declined the help of a system. He did not however lose his grin.

"That makes it even more fucking exciting!" he practically shouted in excitement, thankfully he had entered a street and as such, was away from the public eye. Yes it was exciting, over here even literally taking a wrong step could get him killed. How could he not get excited?!

He rested his back against the wall and looked up in thought, nonetheless it didn't mean he'd go ask the world to fuck him over. He had a number of factors to consider even if he wasn't going to take part in the plot WHICH of course he fucking was! Those guys that stay back in FEAR of changing plot are fucking wimps! And they have the gall to call themselves men! Consequences be damned, if given a chance, he would fuck it over with his own two hands!

But first, there was one thing to consider. Gaia and Alaya to be precise. Those two could fuck him over just for existing here. Alaya was the collective conscious of humanity, it's "will" if you would. It's job was to keep humanity as a whole alive and it fully believed in killing the few to save the many. Any changes in history would be personally corrected by it using the Counterforce, a group under it which corrected timelines that went astray.

Therefore, if he changed anything major about the timeline he was in, it was practically guaranteed that it would get rid of him. And then there was Gaia, the will of the planet, of Earth itself. Which prioritized the continued existence of the planet and not of the creatures on the planet. It actually wanted humanity gone in most cases so he was at least safe from it. Hell it even resorted to calling over species from other planets to save it so it wouldn't really bother with one single human.

However, the power these two held wasn't something to be underestimated as they were nigh omnipotent here. Capable of doing anything necessary to ensure the fulfillment of their own specific goals.(A/N: And they still keep failing...lol.)

Fate had a number of timelines and parallel worlds as well but since they didn't really concern him for the most part, he didn't really need to concern himself with them. Moving on, there was also another person who was most likely aware of him by now, that person was Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg, the ancient troll.

He too however wasn't someone to be underestimated. That motherfucker had defeated Type-Moon and pushed back the whole goddamn moon, and that wasn't really a small feat. The Types are in simple words, the embodiments of the planets' wills with each celestial body having it's own Type or Ultimate One. Type Moon had come to Earth over four thousand years ago after making a deal with Gaia to protect the planet from humanity's corruption. However, it was royally fucked over by Zelretch in 300 A.D.

But he digressed, bottom line is, there were a number of monsters who would have noticed him as soon as he arrived here. He was going to get fucked over if he messed with the timeline, actually no, he was pretty sure he was going to get fucked over after a few years regardless of whether he messed with it or not.

"Oh that's fucking terrifying." he slightly chuckled walking back onto the road, he was going to head over to Ryuudou Temple, any caster this war may have or any servant for that matter, would eventually head there. That is because alongside being the keystone of the leylines of Fuyuki city, the lake beside it was also the place where the Greater Grail could possibly be summoned. The Greater Grail itself resided within an enormous cavern beneath the temple itself making it a crucial place to the events of the Holy Grail War.

Luke looked up with a smile on his face, it being fucking terrifying was exactly what made it much much more exciting than it needed to be! He was no otaku or anything but if there was one series he DID understand, it was Fate. He rubbed his hands together in anticipation of what was to come.

"What about that other thing though?" he wondered, perhaps the previous events had made him ignore it temporarily but when he had thought about hating how he was trapped with no means of escape at the time he had died, he was sure he heard a voice saying something about something being acquired due to some soul strength jargon.

He looked at the tall building in front of him and then looked at it's roof. Going there would provide a really good vantage point. He could potentially see where the temple itself was. In the next instant, he was standing where he had thought about standing. Luke looked around surprised before slightly smirking, "Huh. Neat."
