Chapter 198: Return!

"Arrogance and stupidity..."

The King of Deheubarth muttered under his breath with a complex expression in his eyes.

"Dammit, that bastard clearly wants to use us as pawns!"

On the way, Kay complained.

"Even if he doesn't say it, we must still do it because it is our mission from His Majesty." Bedivere replied calmly.

"I know, but looking at that bastard's face, I can't help but feel irritated and wanted to punch his dumbass face." Kay said with irritation.

Bedivere shook his head helplessly and looked at the royal capital of East Anglia, surrounded by a thick bounded field not far away. He squinted his eyes and said, "Anyway, let's figure out how to take down that city first... Sir Lamorak."

"I'm here."

Lamorak stepped forward and Bedivere turned to him.

"Now that His Majesty is not here, your Godslayer Knights are our strongest force. We'll cover for you, give it your all, and bring down that bounded field as soon as possible, understood?"

"Understood." Lamorak nodded solemnly.

Soon, Bedivere organized a unit of ten thousand soldiers and launched an attack on the royal capital of East Anglia.

They raised the distinctive Red Dragon flag representing Camelot, causing the defenders of East Anglia to panic. They quickly redirected their magic cannons, and powerful magical shots were soon fired towards Camelot's army.

Gawain and the others unsheathed their holy swords, releasing powerful sword beams that countered the incoming magical shots.

Watching from a distant hill, the faces of the allied nations' kings were filled with envy and jealousy.

"I wonder where King Arthur got so many holy swords. Did he find the remains of some god?"

"In just a few short years, Camelot's strength has become so formidable, it's like a dream."

"Hahhh, Chosen King, O Chosen King..."

As they sighed with resignation, someone suddenly exclaimed.

"What are they planning to do?!"

Everyone looked in the direction of a small group quietly maneuvering to the side and rear of the city.

"Attracting attention from the front, while launching a surprise attack from the side?"

In this era, most kings were not lacking in military strategy. With just a glance, they understood Camelot's plan.

However, they still harbored some confusion.

"Bounded fields have no blind spots; sneak attacks are utterly pointless. Besides, with so few people, what can they achieve?"

"Haha, maybe they plan to break through the bounded field?" One of the kings teased.

"Actually, it's not impossible..." The King of Deheubarth suddenly interjected. "Don't forget, under King Arthur, there's that knight order."

Everyone's breaths caught slightly. Although the King of Deheubarth didn't specifically mention which knight order, they immediately grasped the implication.

"If it's that knight order, there might be a real possibility."

While Bedivere and the others engaged with the city's defender head-on, Lamorak smoothly led the Godslayer Knights to the side and rear of the city.

"Listen to my command, just focus and attack!"

Instantly activating artificial magic circuits on their bodies, deep green stripes lit up one after another, erupting with a continuous flow of magical energy. It surged into their weapons, unleashing thunder, frost, flames, and raging winds—natural elements directed at the location Lamorak specified.

Under the collective strike of nearly a thousand B-rank Noble Phantasms, the seemingly rock-solid bounded field instantly rumbled and showed signs of instability, accompanied by a faint cracking sound.

Such a massive disturbance immediately drew the attention of the defenders, who were scared out of their wits.

"Use the Ley Lines to reinforce the bounded field!"

The mages within the city immediately directed the magical energy from the Ley Lines to fortify the bounded field. With the infusion of immense magical energy, the turbulence of the bounded field visibly stabilized.

As he saw this, Bedivere clenched his teeth in frustration, well aware of the urgency. The longer they delayed, the more dangerous the situation became for everyone who fought Vortigern.

"Holders of holy weapons, attack!" Bedivere shouted and raised his silver arm.

Without hesitation, Lancelot, Gawain, and the others unleashed their holy swords.

"Reach the edge of the world and go beyond its limit! O distant king, witness this light! Arondight Overload!"

"This sword transfers the sun's body! The heat of these flames shall cleanse the impure! Excalibur Galatine!"

The radiant brilliance of the holy swords burst forth, crashing forcefully against the bounded field, causing the latter to once again violently tremble.

The other Knights of the Round Table, each wielding their holy weapons, also simultaneously unleashed their powers, pouring all their might onto the bounded field without reservation.

Watching the trembling bounded field, the eyes of East Anglia's commander involuntarily revealed a horrified expression.

"Draw all the magical energy from the Ley Lines!" He commanded the mage with gritted teeth.

"But, Sir, doing so could easily deplete the Ley Lines, causing ground collapse..." The mage spoke with a hesitant tone.

"Do you think we have a choice now?" The commander coldly stared at the speaking mage.

"...Yes, I understand."

After a moment, the bounded field, originally on the brink of collapse, suddenly radiated a bright light and stabilized once again.

Seeing this, every Camelot's knight clenched their teeth tightly, a strong sense of reluctance evident in their eyes. However, the power of their weapons inevitably showed signs of decline.

"What a pity..." One of the kings murmured.

Bedivere tightly clenched his fist, looking down at Airgetlam on his right, as if he had made a certain resolution. A faint determined expression gradually appeared in his eyes.

'Once, you bestowed glory upon me, giving me a reason to live. Now, with that will, I respond to your expectations, my King!'

He raised his silver arm high, and it instantly burst into a brilliant silver light.

"Devour my soul and come forth, o silver shooting star! Dead End—Airgetlam!"

*Buzzz—!!!*

The silver light extended along his right arm, transforming into a silver blade over ten meters long, emitting a sharp aura capable of tearing everything apart.

"AAAHHHHH—!!!"

Veins popped on Bedivere's forehead as he roared, dragging the silver sword across the bounded field, effortlessly cutting through it like slicing tofu.

*Thud!*

The silver light gradually faded, and Bedivere half-knelt on the ground, his body covered in numerous wounds as if he had been slashed countless times.

"Huff... Huff... O my King... Can you see it? I... have truly succeeded your will..."

Despite his gruesome appearance, a smile crept onto Bedivere's lips as he murmured and looked up at the sky with serene eyes.

Northumbria.

After a day of continuous expansion, despite Merlin and Morgan's efforts to resist, Vortigern's domain still engulfed Northumbria and Mercia.

Now, his body had swollen to a size larger than even Nidhogg, with a majestic aura surging, resembling a demon king returned from hell.

*BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!*

The tower of light of Rhongomyniad fiercely struck White Dragon Vortigern with a whip formed of thunder and storm, leaving only faint, almost imperceptible traces.

On the ground, Artoria's face had become extremely pale. The prolonged use of Rhongomyniad had pushed her to the brink.

Meanwhile, Scathach made a throwing motion, focused her mind, and abruptly opened her phoenix-like eyes, launching Gungnir like a shooting star toward Vortigern.

Vortigern opened his massive dragon mouth, exhaling a vast river-like breath that intercepted Gungnir.

"Can't even pierce him..." Scathach's expression grew increasingly grim.

Nidhogg soared in the sky, spewing black flames toward Vortigern. Despite his huge size, he was agile, effortlessly dodging while emitting a loud dragon roar toward her.

*ROOOAAARRR—!!!*

This roar seemed to contain a peculiar power, momentarily freezing her body.

Seizing this opportunity, Vortigern opened his mouth, once again spewing dragon breath towards Nidhogg.

"Lady Nidhogg, watch out!"

Seeing Nidhogg in danger, Artoria's pupils contracted. She used all her strength to activate Rhongomyniad, while Scathach hastily invoked Primordial Rune, attempting to teleport Nidhogg away.

But their reactions were a bit slow, and they could only watch as the dragon breath rushed towards Nidhogg.

*Buzzz—!!!*

Just as the dragon breath was about to hit her, a small black-red sphere suddenly emerged from the void, landing on her head. It expanded into a barrier, which blocked the dragon breath.

A man in silver armor, with a handsome face and black hair, suddenly appeared in front of Nidhogg. His profound black eyes coldly stared at the white dragon.
