Chapter 35: University Talk (2)
She continues explaining the reasons for her choosing the university, "look my first reason is I want to study gynecology and City D's University is a school of science and technology and my second reason, is I don't want to go anywhere far from City D because I want to stay with you guys and spend some time with you both… so you see I have good reasons for choosing the university, I will be going and coming back home and I will also spend some quality time with you both. You see this is killing two birds with one stone." Anna said and laughs.
"Ok dear, and am glad to hear that and also very glad that you want to spend some time with the both of us and we will also get to know you better and you will also get to understand us better too." Mr. Swift said after Anna explained to them that she isn't choosing the university because he suggested it but because she has her reasons.
"Dear am sure you will be a good gynecologist when you graduate." Mrs. Swift who can't wait to see Anna graduate excitedly said.
"Momma I haven't even enrolled in the university yet," Anna said after hearing what her mom said.
"But you will soon and besides am only saying the truth and what's going to happen if you graduate!" she defends her words because she knows Anna will be a great doctor one day.
"Momma you are the best!" Anna said and stands to hug Mrs. Swift.
Mr. Swift "…"
"What about me?" he implore when he felt left behind at their lovey-lovey scene.
"And you too Dad you are the best as well," Anna said and winks at him while still hugging her momma.
Mr. Swift winks back at her and Mrs. Swift laughed at their behavior and the scene in front of her.
'Am very happy right now and that's all thanks to you Vivian… thank you very much for giving me a second chance at happiness in life.' Anna said in her mind and thanked Vivian once again for giving her a second chance at happiness in life.
'And I promise once again to be the best daughter just like you would have been if you were here, to our parents.' She added.
Anna herself couldn't help but smile at the scene of the happy moment that is going on right now.
They all are very happy right now and she wishes and prayed it always remains like this forever.
Because every single one of them in this room deserves all this happiness.
