Chapter 15: Chapter 15 : Is it all worth it?
"Again! Ok girls, 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8. No wait, Arin you're doing it wrong again. FOCUS." Ms. Harin yells. "Class dismissed, you all can go. Arin you stay." Ms. Harin orders.
Everyone leaves the practice room. I stand there with only Ms. Harin, our dance teacher in the practice room. I still can't get a hold of this thing called dance. I just don't get this, even after months of training day and night how do I still suck at dancing.
"Lee Arin!" Yells Ms. Harin.
"Yes Ms. Cha." I reply.
"30 minutes. Take a break. I'll be back. Ms. Seo wants you in class 'A'. So get your acts together I don't like staying overtime just because of you. If you don't wanna do this then just tell Ms. Seo. I just don't get why she favors you so much." Ms. Harin says annoyed.
"I'll be better. I'm sorry Ms. Cha." I apologize, my voice almost breaking.
Ms. Harin sighs and leaves the room. I sit down on the ground, facing the large mirror that covers a whole wall of this big spacious practice room. I sit there for a while looking at my reflection on that mirror before breaking down in tears. My clothes are drenched form my sweat. I'm so sick of this. I hate Ms. Harin. She's the worst. I just don't get why does she always picks on me. I wanna go back to class 'D'. I miss Sohee unnie so much. She was so nice. I was such a loser but she helped me a lot, she was a better teacher.
I practice with Ms. Harin till 11 pm. It really didn't go that well. I go back to my dorm tired and sweaty. I enter my dorm as quietly as possible so not to wake my roommate. She is already asleep or so I thought. As soon as enter the room Suha sits up from her bed.
"Arin? You okay?" Suha asks.
"Oh? Did I wake you up?" I ask.
"No, I was waiting for you. I asked the other girls from your class about you and they told me about Ms. Harin." Suha says.
"You don't have to feel bad for me."
"Come on I've been there. Ms. Harin is a monster. Nobody likes her."
"I just want to get promoted to class 'B' already." I state.
"More that that pray that they put you on class 'B-3'."
"Why?"
"Mr. Lucas is the couch of girls dance class B-3. I was in his class. Trust me when I say that he's the best. Even a literal beginner will become a pro dancer if you take his class. And not to mention that he's damn hot." Suha says exitedly.
"Quit fangirling."
"Go wash up. I'm so sleepy, I only stayed up cuz of you. Good night." Suha says annoyed.
"Yeah. Thanks for looking after me. Good night." I say.
Suha gets under her blanket and I go to wash up. I change into my pajamas and go on with my night time skin care. After that I go to bed and check my social media. Of course it's a secret. The first thing I see is news about 'Megaverse'. I guess Dae is doing just fine. Meanwhile all I'm doing is messing things up and getting scolded.
I don't remember when I dozed off last night, but one thing I surely know is I'm so late. I hurriedly get up and get dressed. Somehow I managed to reach school just before the bell rings. I sure look like a beggar right now. I can't do anything about it now. I'll fix my hair after this class. I walk to my seat and let my head on the desk.
"Hey? Long time no see."
I look up to see Dae holding out a chocolate milk for me. "Oh hey. Wait no don't look at me right now. I look horrible."
"I guess it's my type then." Dae says.
"What? What are you talking about?" I ask confused.
"You didn't get it? It's good. I don't want you to get it. At least not now."
"You're weird."
"Here, it's for you." Dae gives me the chocolate milk and some candies.
"Thanks." I say as I take those from him.
Dae takes out a chair from my front desk and sits down. "I think the teacher is running late today." He says.
"It seems so." I say while drinking the chocolate milk.
"By the way I heard someone is having troubles with Ms. Harin?" Dae smirks.
"Are you mocking me right now? You're the worst." I say annoyed.
"Too bad. I was thinking of helping that SOMEONE on the weekends since I'm free during night time." Dae says while smirking.
"Ok. Help me." I say in a low voice.
"What did you say? I didn't hear you." Dae teases.
"I said help me." I say a bit louder.
"Where's the magic word?" Dae teasingly asks.
"PLEASE HELP ME? PLEASE?" I say annoyingly.
"Ok sure. Since you are insisting, I'll help. See you on Saturday night at our practice room?"
"Our practice room?" I ask confused.
"My groups practice room." Dae says.
"Is it okay for me to go there?" I ask.
"Yeah sure. Our dorm apartment is quite spacious, so on the weekends the members usually go to the dorm for late night practice. So it's okay."
"So? It'll be just you an-"
Just then the teacher hurriedly enter the classroom. "Ah I'm so late. So sorry kids. Go to your seat everyone."
Saturday night.......................
S.Z building is huge. The trainees aren't really allowed to go to the artist part of the building, unless they go with the artist or have a artist card. After practicing on my own for a bit I head down to the cafeteria where Dae asked to meet. Upon reaching there I see him ordering his caffeine. Just look at him and the barista lady flirting. Good looking people surely have advantages. I was just standing there when he notices me and waves at me. Then the barista lady calls him and tells him his drinks are ready. Wait did she just gave him free deserts? I guess Dae is quite popular.
"Let's go Ari." Dae says as he approaches me.
I stand up and walk behind him as he leads the way. While we were waiting for the elevator Dae hands me a cup of hot coffee.
"I know you like your coffee sweet so I asked to one sweet." Dae says while literally giving me the cutest smile.
I take a sip. "Ah it's hot."
Dae grabs my face, "You okay?"
