Chapter 38: 38. Level 2.
After some consoling and calming the two distraught people down I get the just of what happens when Hel shows me a paper with my status on it.

"My stats hit 3000?" I say in shock. I was only supposed to hit 2000!
"Your body was overloaded with power and nearly exploded if not for your regeneration ability, you broke through your limits 2 times while asleep before it settled down." Hel says with a frown. "Once I leveled you up everything stopped. Right now you are basically as strong as a level 3 or level 4."
"Well that's both good and bad." I sigh.
"Why is that bad?" Lili asks confused.
"It means since I'm strong my excellia rate will drop from fighting in the lower dungeon floors. It won't pose a challenge so I wont be rewarded with excellia." I sigh unhappily.
Good news was that my Materia slots had increased from 3 to 5, I also gained another guardian force slot and Boko became a permanent summon like my materia.
"Well life threatening situations do promote growth." I groan. Still 17 different templates and I've only got the power of a max level 3 or a level 4? What is a level 9 like in this place jeez!
"What happened?" Hel asks with a serious look.
"I was overloaded with Legacies, and my body nearly exploded from the stress. I believe I don't have to worry about that happening again." I mean Bell is the only main hero in this world so I shouldn't be able to abuse the god and gain multiple templates like that.
Speaking of that, I believe my problems just got worse, cause the only thing I remember about Bell besides the main stuff is the Goddess Freya being completely obsessed with him and causing him problems to make him grow faster. That is an unpleasant thought that makes me wish to flee the city, but then I wouldn't have access to the dungeon. I mean doesn't that familia have like multiple level 5s and 6s and even one of the few level 7s in the city?
Despite getting all those templates, it wasnt really a massive boost in power. Melbu Frahma for example was just a stronger wingly, so it was like getting upgraded from a half elf to a high elf with magical capabilities. Seymour was a summoner, so I gained Aeons from him, it wasn't really an increase in personal capabilities. Just access to more summons. Sephiroth was however a monster with Jenova cells in his body so my physique skyrocketed, along with my speed and endurance. Auron was a master with a katana and hand to hand, but he still wasn't as strong as Sephiroth. Vayne was a master at martial arts, he was also decent with a blade and magic so that was a bonus, still doubt he would be at the level of Sephiroth.
But he did come with an entire fleet of fucking airships. What the fuck am I supposed to do with so many air ships?!?
Next we have the level up trio. Mustadio was yet again another engineer, but this one did have knowledge of magic guns, which was a plus, he was actually a pretty accomplished gunsmith and magical gunsmith, even came with some magical guns. That was sweet.
Kain was a dragoon, different kind of dragoon than the legend of dragoon types, that was something i was excited about. He was trained with a spear and came with his own dragoon armor.
Finally Haschel who was a martial artist and owner of the lightning dragoon. That was a Large bonus.
So basically what I got were mostly techniques and knowledge of different combat methods, with Sephiroth and Melbu Frahma boosting me up in stats due to bloodlines. I consider it a large gain mostly in technical terms.
As for items, well there was the magical guns, from mustadio which was nice. The blades of Sephiroth and Auron I won't use as I already have the buster sword and those blades are long and annoying to use. Vayne just came with all his ships and a large greatsword which I won't use as it's way too big and annoying way larger than a normal person. Seymour had his summons and a staff which didn't really do much. I only had 2 summon slots currently and like 60 summons available. Kain had a dragoon lance and his armor which was nice I could train with a spear now. Haschel just had the dragoon spirit as he was a hand to hand fighter. It may seem like I gained a lot, but in reality I didn't gain all that much. Melbu Frahma had some magical knowledge and could summon a monster called a Visage, which seemed to go for the guardian slot so that was also a bust.
"Well for a fresh level 2 I cant really complain much. It was an incredible boost but it wont happen again most likely." I tell Hel with a reassuring smile. "Thank you both for taking care of me. I'll make sure to clean up the house from the blood."
I stretch a bit and still feel a bit of pain. Seems my body got really roughed up.
"No I'll do it!" Lili says quickly. "You should rest!"
"Yes, you will rest." Hel says with a fierce look. "We will clean the house, and you will recover."
I surrender immediately. "Alright I'll rest. Don't we need to get Lili food though?" I ask.
"No I have some dried food in my room, so it can wait until you are healed." The little pallum says.
"But..."
"No buts!" Hel says.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door.
Hel, looked at me for a second before heading downstairs. I heard the sound of Loki's voice which sounded quite shocked.
A few minutes later the door is pushed open and in walks Tiona, Ais, Loki, Finn and Riviera.
"Seems I was a tad bit late to come and scold you. Did you know your the talk of the town right now?" Loki says. "I mean you literally left a trail of blood all the way back to your house, the downstairs looks like a murder scene."
Honestly I looked like shit with my skin still healing.
"Ah, I wouldn't know I was passed out." I laugh.
