Around the busy road a loud commotion emerged. People's attentions were caught by the loud angry voices. These voices came from the nearby stall owners!
"Come back here! You damn thieves!"
Of course, Lin Mei and Liu Ying couldn't help but to check the disturbance. It was at this moment, Lin Mei felt a massive force almost bumped on her stomach.

In a single glance the boy was definitely a beggar. Furthermore, Lin Mei also noticed the small sack beside the boy. It was filled with different kinds of materials, jewelry, other manuals, talismans, and berries. Without doubt he was the thief.
Different from Liu Ying who was being overprotective as her natural response to the situation, Lin Mei felt empathy to the boy. In this world, there were no rules that helps those who were deprived.
They were left to die in the hands of the strong. Setting aside the beauty of the Jade City, Lin Mei already noticed countless of beggars living in the back of the streets.

Lin Mei was about to start the negotiation when a rock came flying towards her elder sister!
Liu Ying easily dodged the rock however, the following attack alarmed her. She sensed there were four more young beggars coming from all her sides! Liu Ying could handle two more while holding the boy down but having four attackers would give her an opening.
In this case, Liu Ying was prepared to let go of the boy in a split second and when her attacker came within her reach. She was prepared to neutralized them in tactical melee combat.
However, Liu Ying didn't expect the beggars would use a coordinated move. Instead confronting Liu Ying hand to hand and rescue their companion, the four threw small round object directly at Liu Ying!
