Chapter 10: Cee
When I woke up, I immediately checked my phone and what I saw really jump started my day. It was a message from Chris. A short but sweet message and he said that he was waiting for me in the garden with breakfast. I don't want to assume but I guess there's a small chance that we both might feel the same way because he is actually exerting effort for us to hang out. I just hope that my brother would approve because if things between Cee and I would progress soon, I don't want our relationship to come between the two of them and if it does, I don't want to have to choose between the two of them because I want them both in my life.
I then hurriedly took a shower and took my time looking for something to wear. I don't want to be overdressed but I wanted to look special for our breakfast together. Its actually weird coz for the second time this week, I became conscious of what I looked like. It's really weird because I would usually just wear anything that I would first touch in my closet but today seems different. I took my time looking through my closet for my outfit today. After spending almost 10 minutes, I went for my usual day to day look which is a pair of shorts and t-shirt because I feel comfortable wearing them. I focused more on my hair because it has always been my challenge since its naturally wavy but good thing I was able to fix it today with a small hair clip just to tuck my side bangs.
I was on my way to the garden when my brother saw me when I passed by the living room and asked me about my day yesterday. I told him about our chat with Ella and how Chris and I ended up eating on the way home. I told him how friendly Chris was but I intentionally left out the bouquet part coz I don't want him to go on "protective brother" mode again. I could see that he was a bit interested with the "Chris" part of my day but he didn't ask me more about it. He said that he was happy that Chris and I got along well because Chris is like a brother to him. It was actually weird when he said that Chris should also be like a brother to me. I tried to hide my disappointment but I couldn't so I hurriedly excused myself and went to the garden to see Chris.
On the way to the garden, I thought of what Bran told me. I was actually taken aback by what he said that I should treat Chris like a brother too. I mean, I am having a little crush on him and its not right to have a crush on your brother. And then it dawned on me that maybe the reason why Chris was being so nice was that he might think of me like a sister? Oh, God. Please let me be wrong. I then felt a little sad thinking about it because this is actually the first time I felt something this strong for someone and to think we've only known each other for a day yet I felt like I've known him forever. I feel so comfortable around him but I also want to take things one step at a time. I guess we really have to get to know each other more first before anything else. I really want Chris and I to be more than friends but if he does not feel the same way, then I might as well hope that some day he would.
When I arrived at the garden, I could see Chris there sitting on a blanket with a small picnic basket. It might be very early for a picnic but I do appreciate the effort.
I hurriedly went to him when I heard him talking to himself and said, "Hi Cee! How was your sleep? Aahh too chessy
I hurriedly went to him when I heard him talking to himself and said, "Hi Cee! How was your sleep? Aahh too chessy. Hi Cee! How are you? Too casual. Aaaaaaahhh! What do I say to her??". I secretly smiled and answered him, "Well you could start by saying good morning". At the sound of my voice, Chris looked at my direction and it was really cute seeing him blush a bit. He then asked me how long have I been standing there and I told him that I heard everything that he was rambling about. He slightly blushed and then asked me if I was able to sleep well and from that, our conversation effortlessly flowed. He then showed me the food that he prepared and he basically overcooked since he didn't know what I liked. Everything was so perfect and when we were done eating, I thanked him for the delicious food and for the effort. He then asked me about what my plans for the day was and I told him that I did not have anything planned.
He then smiled and said, "well since you don't have anything planned for today, are you up for some adventure?".
I didn't want to sound too excited so I just smiled and said, "well... sure. As long as you promise that its going to be fun". He just smiled and winked at me.
