Chapter 90: Motel

"Everything okay?"

"Yeah, just drama with my family. I really don't want to go back and see them, but I can't afford to stay anywhere else."

"You can stay with me then."

"Wait, really?"

"Yeah. I've had so much fun I don't want our time to end yet."

Was this a good idea? Spending the night with a stranger? What if he was up to something? Then again he'd shown more kindness to me than my family had in a long time. I knew I shouldn't be so trusting but something about him is different. He had kind eyes. I felt safe with him and I didn't think I could stand the way my family is treating me any longer. Saying that this was my fault and that I asked for it. I didn't ask for this. It's not fair. I knew I could be naive and too trusting, but I was not the one who brought that man around. I was exhausted. I'd been up for over twenty-four hours. He hadn't done anything to me that I didn't like. At this point, I was willing to take my chances.
