Chapter 61: Grand Battle Royale
Ryu was pouting with a stinky face as he brought Sakura, Hinata, Shikamaru, Lee, Neji, and Naruto outside the village.
Naruto asked in confusion "What are we doing, Ryu?" Ryu grumbled "That stupid milk cow sent me to watch over your training exercise… Stupid Milk Cow, dumb milk cow, idiot milk cow, grandma milk cow, I curse her children to be as dumb as Jiraiya!"
The group sweatdropped and Shikamaru asked with a sigh "What's the training exercise?"
Ryu whistled and shouted "Get out here, ya bastard. Naruto's here too."
Suddenly, the group saw all 5 Pains appear from the woods, looking at them coldly.
Ryu pointed at them and said "Your training exercise, meet Pain. The Leader of Akatsuki. He wants to kill all of you and suck Naruto dry-" he paused and frowned "No, that's not right… He wants Kurama."
Naruto asked "Who's Kurama?" Ryu replied boredly "That's the Nine Tails' name. Anyway, he wants to kill you and drink the blood of every Konoha resident. Your job is to kill him. Go for it~ Banzai, Daniel-san!"
As he sat on a stump.
Aino popped her head out from Ryu's back and cheered "You can do it! Send these silly family members home!"
Ryu replied "Hell, send them to hell." Aino pouted and said "Don't be mean, Daddy." Ryu sighed and took out a Dango bag, munching away with Aino.
The 6 of them stared at Ryu in shock as Sakura shouted "You brought Aino-chan?!" Ryu replied simply "Life experience. Itachi saw dead bodies at 4 years old. Hurry up, I don't have all day, you know!"
Aino cheered with a muffled voice and stuffed cheeks "You can do it, Sakura-chan! Come on, Hinata-oneesan! You too, Neji-oniichan! Look alive, Shika-chan! Do it, Eyebrows-oniichan! Blow them up, Naruto-otouto!"
Naruto pointed at himself and shouted "Otouto!? I'm more than 10 years older than you!"
Shikamaru's lips twitched "Shika-chan? Look alive? What a drag…"
Lee exploded into flames and cheered "Yes, Aino-chan! Let's burn our YOOOOOUTH!"
Hinata nodded shyly and took her stance, Neji smiled calmly and did the same, while Sakura snorted, smiling slightly "Let big sister show you how to fight, Aino-chan."
Pain looked at Ryu with fear in his eyes, but also anger as he grit his teeth, saying "You're making fun of me?!" Ryu snorted and looked at him, replying "Yeah. And? You got something to say?"
Deva Pain turned back and clenched his fists, saying "I hope you can stomach them all dying in front of your eyes, bastard!"
Ryu rolled his eyes and Aino frowned, saying softly "Don't say bad words… Bad guy!"
Deva Pain nearly tripped and the group attacked, while Shikamaru sat back and observed the fight closely with a frown.
He turned to Ryu and asked "Do you know something about the enemy, Ryu-sensei?" Ryu nodded and replied "I know everything." Shikamaru's eyes lit up and he said "That's great!" But Ryu added, "Why should I tell you, though?"
Shikamaru froze and looked at him incredulously "But-" Ryu explained "On a mission will you have time to calmly ask about the enemy's information? As of right now, you missed 23 clues to the enemy and would've died around 7 times. Focus, this is training, not a tour around the Land of Fire."
Shikamaru turned to the fight and Ryu added with a sigh, "You're all the future of the village, some of us old people like to lay around and do nothing, you know? Learn in battle or die trying."
Shikamaru nodded and observed carefully.
Ryu was going to give him a hint, but it didn't actually matter because the Resurrecting Pain was dead already. So once they killed the Pains they were done for.
Ryu turned to the fight and ate a dango with interest, time to see the fruits of his efforts…
Naruto vs Deva Path
Hinata vs Human Path
Sakura vs Animal Path
Neji vs Preta Path
Lee vs Asura Path
Shikamaru for support.
Ryu strangely felt like he was watching a League of Legends game…
Hinata looked at the Human Path and said softly "Sorry. You're after Naruto-kun." as he disappeared from the spot.
The Human Path raised his arms and Hinata sliced her palm down, bringing the arms down before smashing her hand against the Human Path's head. He spun in the air, swinging his arm back and hitting Hinata in the shoulder.
She took the momentum and twisted, thrusting her arm forward, covering her arm in Haki, piercing right through the Human Path's head!
The Human Path slumped to the ground and stopped moving as Hinata backed off, whispering "Sorry!" before running to Naruto to help.
Sakura lifted her fist and roared as she punched a giant animal in the head. A glowing white light lit up on her fist and blew a hole in the Giant Rhinoceros. He stepped on the head and lunged at the Animal path girl, shouting "Shannnaroooooo!"
As she cocked her arm back, coating it in a wispy Haki before shooting forward.
The Animal Path jumped out of the way but Sakura suddenly swung her leg out and kicked Animal Path flying before flipping and kicking the air, swinging her arm back up from under her, down on the Animal path, blowing its entire body to bits!
Ryu's lips twitched and he looked at Sakura's brutal fighting style, muttering "Who taught you that… Honestly…" she flipped in the air to bring her already thrown punch back to Animal path!
That was crazy.
And also impossible if not for Love Breathing…
He turned his head and saw that Neji was having a good time.
Preta Path punched at Neji, who stepped to the side beforehand, lunging close before slapping his palm on Preta Path's chest.
An airwave came out from the back of Preta Path, revealing a huge hole in his back, although there was no hole in the front!
The Preta Path fell down and Neji side stepped before punching at the air.
The Preta Path suddenly stabbed forward with a black rod but Neji was already gone, suddenly Preta Path's head was smashed to bits as he moved back into Neji's path…
Lee looked at Asura Path and let out a breath before disappearing.
He kicked the Asura Path out with Haki coating his limbs before flashing behind him and kicking him into the air, then flashing above him and dropping his leg down, sending him to the ground.
Lee flashed under Asura Path and jumped up at him, spinning in the air, shooting out his foot like Jin Mori in that scene that one time.
Asura path was helpless against Lee as he shot rockets at him, but Lee just flashed through the air, dodging them all.
Lee pointed out his fingers and landed on Asura Path lightly before his hands blurred.
Asura Path was instantly full of finger holes and Lee swayed like a leaf in the wind as a flexible saw shot past him like a bullet, not hitting him at all.
Asura Path was stunned and Lee hooked his knee around Asura Path's head, spinning in the air as he shouted "Roaring Twin-Lotus!" before throwing Asura Path into the ground, creating a massive crater!
He kicked behind him and shot down at Asura path, flipping in the air before smashing his leg down, shouting "Dragon's Descent!"
The crater cracked and exploded into square cubes before those evaporated and Asura Path exploded along with them!
Ryu rubbed his head and sighed, "Too strong, not enjoyable at all…"
He looked up at Naruto fighting Deva Path… or Yahiko.
At least this one was okay.
Mainly because Yahiko could use Shinra Tensei and blew Naruto away whenever he got close… Otherwise, he'd be 'Konoha-Crushed' too!
Naruto fell from the sky and frowned, he took a deep breath and put his hands together.
Suddenly, his eyes had Orange circles and his pupils turned to rectangles, but the irises were shiningly gold! A cloak wrapped around his body and a blindingly bright ribbon stretched over his shoulders.
He turned over his palm and said "Rasneshuriken! Sun Toad Mode!" a mini sun lit up on his palm and turned into a shining Rasenshuriken as he threw it out at Yahiko, who activated Shinra Tensei again.
Suddenly, Naruto appeared behind him as the Rasenshuriken was destroyed. He grinned "Gotcha!" as a mini sun appeared on his palm.
Yahiko turned around and ate a Sun Rasengan.
Yahiko smashed into the ground and plowed out a trench as Naruto fell to the ground helplessly.
Yahiko suddenly got up and cracked his neck, seemingly not injured!
Ryu froze, ayo? What's the situation?
Yahiko spread his hands in the air and Ryu expected him to say "Friends of Earth lend me your power by my Spirit Bomb." But instead he said "Super Planetary Devastation!"
Ryu's eyes widened and he said "Fuck! He can still do that move!?"
Aino gasped and said "Fuck!"
Ryu's face changed to a devil's grin and he looked at Aino, saying anxiously, "You can't repeat that, okay? Mommy will get angry. Only Mommy can use that word, okay?" Aino had a stupidly cute look in her eyes, nodding dumbly "Ah. Okay, daddy."
Ryu let out a breath of relief and relaxed, patting her head, "Good girl…"
Shikamaru was standing there, dumbfounded as a huge black sphere fell towards Naruto.
What the hell was he here for?
