"I would know if you are manipulating," Tony pulled his chair closer to her and held her hand. 

"You know me that well?" Marcella asked with a pout. 

With everything happening around her, she was glad she had a constant in Tony. Whenever she was in his presence, she went to various planes. He was intriguing. She loved the chats they had. She didn't think there could be anything any one of them could be hiding considering that they are talking a lot. 

There it goes… another moment of second-guessing! Is Tony a good guy or a bad guy?

Tony picked her hand and held it between his hands. He looked at her deeply into her eyes. "You are putting up walls, Birdie. I sense those walls and I…"

"You what?" she asked. He was right about her putting up walls. She has no confidence to be open. She needed to protect herself. She's a wounded cat; She didn't want to make the same mistake. 

"Do you see any change in me… from the past, Birdie?" he asked.
