Chapter 20: Disappointed

Chloe wrapped her hands around Adam and buried her head in his chest. She held him as though her life depended on it which it did judging by the attempt to end her life minutes ago. The alcohol made her unstable bringing all her fears and insecurities to the surface.

"Make me yours tonight," she pleaded. She took hold of Adam's hands and wrapped them around her body.

A tear fell from Adam's eyes as he stared down at Chloe. His hands around her body slightly shaking from what he was about to do.

"We are here sir," the driver informed. He opened the door for them and let them out before driving off. Adam carried Chloe into the house and was greeted by the butler at the door.

"Dismiss all the servants in the house. I don't want to see a single soul in the main house," he instructed the butler before walking into the living room with Chloe in his hands. He set her down on the chair and turned to go and get her some water.
