Chapter 11: Chapter Eleven: Dylan
Thursday:
After practice, which was really short because coach only talked to us and we didn't do any training today, I drive home to change and rest a bit before going to the nerds place for tutorial. As I enter my house, I head straight to my room, undressed and laid down on my bed to rest after setting an alarm for four o'clock, I dropped my phone on my nightstand, then I slept off.
1 hour 20 minutes later
I wake up to my phone alarm informing me that it is time for the tutorial. I check the time and see that it is 4:00 which means I have been asleep for 1 hour 20 minutes. I go to the bathroom to brush and take a quick shower then I change from my and phone then I headed to the kitchen to see a covered plate with my name on the counter that means my mum has gone to work, my sister has gone to ballet practice and Dad's not back from his business trip. I open it to see that is pasta and sauce with chicken laps . I eat my food then I leave the house not forgetting to lock the doors.
I go to the parking lot and go straight to my car. I enter and drive out of the compound, the gate being opened for me as I near it and I left the compound. I head over to Zoey's house.
30 minutes later
I park in the driveway of Zoey's house and I notice two other cars parked. I pack my thing, get down from my car then headed to the front door. I pressed on the door bell twice then waited up to 2 minutes before i heard the door lock clicking open. The door opened and I saw a woman who looks familiar to me, then I recognize her to be the wife of my Father's business partner.
"Dylan? Dylan Matthews? What are you doing here?"
"Good day, Mrs Michaels, I am looking for Zoey?"
"Oh! come in, come in. And please call me Sandra by the way"She says ushering me in
"Okay, thank you mr~ Sandra" I say almost calling her Mrs Michaels again, she just chuckles and ushered me in.
"I never knew that she's your daughter"I say to her
" Oh yes. Most people do not know." she replies.
"Oh, okay. Nice house you got by the way" I
compliment her
"Thank you" She responds " Oh, is your Dad back?" Sandra Questions
"No ma'am. He is supposed to come back today, buy I'm not sure" I reply
"Oh. okay" she replies
"Yes ma'am"I reply
"So are the both of you friends or?" Mrs Michaels asks with confusion all over her face as she leads me into the sitting room and to a couch
"No ma'am, she is my assigned tutor" I explain and understanding covers the confusion on her face.
"Okay. Make yourself at home let me go get her for you" She answers swiftly
"Okay ma'am. Thank you very much" I appreciated her
"Okay, but before I go... do you need anything? a drink?, water?" Mrs Michaels questions
"No, Thank you ma'am. I'm very okay" I reply
"Okay. let me go get her" She says walking over to the stairs stationed at the other end of the room.
I rest my back and sit patiently waiting for Mrs Michaels and Zoey. About ten minutes later, I hear light footsteps coming down the stairs so I raise my head up to see it's Zoey with some books not Mrs Michaels this time.
"Hey" I say
"Hey, so what are we doing today?" She asks sitting down on the couch opposite me
"Maybe we should start with the assignments we were given?" I ask slyly in which she just looks up at me with a knowing look.
"Okay...so bring out your books" she says.
Two hours later. She continues tutoring me for the next two hours and it is already 7pm
"I'm going to start heading home now." I say to Zoey while parking my things into my bag just as Sandra comes in
"Okay then. I'll text you the next date and time" Zoey says standing up to leave the room
"Hey darling, are you already leaving?, why don't you stay for dinner" Sandra suggests
"Oh no Thank you very much ma'am, but I have to be on my way now" I say to her while standing up
"Okay dear. Drive safely" she says escorting me to the front door with Zoey following not too far from us. Sandra opens the door for me , holding it while I walk out. "Good night dear"
"Good night ma'am. Thank you for having me in your home" I say
"You're welcome, and greet your parents for me, okay?" she says while I entered my car
"Okay ma'am. Thank you" I reply closing my door, I start the car and drive out of the driveway and onto the road leading to my house.
I drive home. As I neared the gate, it was opened to be by one of the guards who greeted me as I entered and I nodded in answer. As j drove into the parking lot, I saw my Dad's car along with my mom's which means they are back.
I come down from the car not forgetting to lock the doors, I walk up to the front door and opened it to enter. As I entered I walk straight to the living room, as I entered, I saw my Dad sitting on one of the couches and exchanged pleasantries with him.
"Hey Dad, welcome back" I greet
"Hey son. How are you doing?" he replies
"I am fine." I reply while going to sit on the space beside him on the couch, sighing. We sit on the couch catching up for about thirty minutes before my mom comes in, surprised to see me and invited us to the dining for dinner.
