Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Forging One's Vengeance: Sakio Masashi
"Sakio!", says an unknown voice. Sakio wakes up in his house. He woke up in a cold sweat, his heart pounding fast. He gets out of bed, and walks outside. He sees his family playing outside. He walks towards them, and starts feeling dizzy. He feels as though his head will explode. "Sakio!", he hears again. "Sakio!", "SAKIO!!!". "Masashi, wake up damn it!", he hears someone say. "H-huh?" Sakio whispers. Sakio opens his eyes, and sees a battlefield, thousands of soldiers laying dead. "Masashi, what a relief, I thought you were dead!", says a man clad in armor. "Forgive me, General Yasutame, I won't fail again.", says Sakio. A cannonball flies through the sky and nearly kills both of them. "Masashi, here's the plan", says Yasutame. "We run towards that cannon, and aim it towards their troops.", "I'm going to man the cannon, while you go rescue some of our men.". Sakio and Yasutame run towards the battlefield. Sakio saves a soldier from being stabbed, and slashes at the enemy soldier. He lays the soldier down, and runs to Yasutame to aid him. "We must retreat", says Yasutame. Sakio screams "RETREAT!!!", and the soldiers start moving back. As they help the soldiers in retreating, an arrow flies through the air and hits Yasutame. "GENERAL!!!", screams Sakio. "Masashi, get the men to safety", Yasutame says, "And take my sword". Yasutame bleeds out and dies.
"General, no, no please don't die", Sakio starts to cry. Filled with rage, Sakio orders the soldiers to run and not to look back. Sakio draws his sword, and his general's sword, and runs towards the battlefield. He starts killing the enemy soldiers one by one. He brutally slashes and stabs all who stood in his way. He doesn't stop. He keeps going, fueled by rage. One of the enemy soldiers draws their bow, and fires at Sakio. Sakio cuts the arrow in half, and the enemy soldier looks terrified. Sakio continues to brutalize all the enemy soldiers, showing no mercy at all. He stands for a moment to cool down, and he gets a chance to look around. He looks at what he has done. He's covered in the blood of a hundred soldiers. He looks up, and sees a dozen archers aiming their bows at him. He looks at them with soulless eyes, and they open fire. Sakio tries to defend himself, but he gets hit. He looks up in the sky, his vision getting ever so blurrier. It starts to rain. Sakio starts coughing up blood, and closes his eyes. "Sayonara", he says as he passes out from blood loss.
