"Shut up! I don't want to hear that from the person who has forsaken me! At least Elaine gave me a chance and granted me the ability to fight!" 

I raised an eyebrow at the mention of Elaine and it began to make sense why Edina had such hatred. Elaine and I have had a long going feud ever since we first fought a few years ago, so it doesn't surprise me that she would brainwash Edina into hating me. 

'Also gave her power? What does she mean by that? It shouldn't be possible to give someone essence unless she is forcibly awakening people.' I knew there had been experiments in the military where, by torturing people, there was a chance for someone to awaken their special essence. 

If Elaine had a reliable way to do this, then the rebels are a much bigger threat than I initially thought.
