Chapter 25: The Heart Blood Contract
He knew what he did to her was cruel but he had to do it?
The heart blood contract will help him look after her. Everyone knows that this contract was dangerous but they didn't know the profit behind the successful binding of the contract.
Her life was eternally connected to him now and he will be able to easily help her in any dangerous situation.
This contract was not successful when used by others were because it lacked the sufficient power required by the superior party. The superior party must have abundant power in his ruin to successfully link the inferior party with him.
This was the main reason that all the inferior parties suffered and were bound to die.
Meng Zhang also didn't know about it.
Nangong Ah Jin was an exception in this world. He can shapeshift into any beast form. He didn't know the reason as his memory was vague after taking birth in the mortal world.
"She will be fine." Nangong Ah Jin assured the azure dragon.

"You can use your brute force to enter Jianghu and search that uncle of yours." Meng Zhang sneered. "Why do you need to involve her in your agenda? You could have told me about the connection before and we can prevent her from being in this much pain."
Nangong Ah Jin wanted to explain his actions but stop midway and turned around to hide his face.
He didn't want to show his inner turmoil and expectations in front of Meng Zhang, the old senile dragon.
How can he say that it was his inner instinct that wanted Long Lei to be linked to him by heart blood contract?
This was a secret he didn't want to indulge in too much. He has always followed his instincts while doing dealings in his life and linking little fox with him was also one of his instincts.

He couldn't lose this opportunity to find Nangong Bai Yu – his uncle and the successor of Shen Xin Yi that can stop the coming disaster in Holy Kunlun Sect or even this world.
He was not sure about the incoming potential problem but his instinct indicated that with him, Long Lei will be eventually safe and might help in ending the problem completely.
"She is already involved. You! Don't try to teach Benwang." He sternly warned the dragon.
He was still the prince of Great Qin and the Sovereign Lord of the dark realm. He has to maintain his reputation. Anyway, he did all this for the sake of little fox. One day she will understand his actions. Nangong Ah Jin sighed.
Meng Zhang felt gloomy aura coming out of the normally mischievous Sovereign Lord who was usually filled with full of energy.
He could not understand the change in the Sovereign Lord. Today was one hell of a day.
He agreed to form a contract with a human girl whose power was just like an ant in front of him. She was a fourteen-year-old girl and surprisingly a special existence in this mortal world just like him.
He felt more attached to her now after knowing her true identity. She was the successor Shen Xin Yi and maybe the key to find Nangong Bai Yu.
From now on, he will be more attentive and protect from all types of flies.
His eyes wandered on the silent Nangong Ah Jin as he thought about swatting flies around Long Lei.
This man was the biggest and the terrible fly that was around her at the moment.
Nangong Ah Jin who was still thinking about his actions was referred to as a bug in Long Lei's life by the cute dragon lord.
"Since you are already sticking to her like a leech, what are you going to do next?" Meng Zhang asked. He was curious.
He wanted to know if this man will be coming with them or not.
Nangong Ah Jin didn't care what Meng Zhang was thinking about him and choose to remain silent. This was a better way to irritate this old fogey.
"Hey! I am talking to you." Meng Zhang shouted to get his attention but the sovereign Lord was not willing to even spare a look to him.
Meng Zhang was irritated. He was a senior mythological beast, thousand-year-old than this little lord but he was still not respected by him. His dignity as the mythological beast was crushed.
"Hey! I will shout if you don't respond to my question. Long Lei will wake up then." He threatened.
Nangong Ah Jin was not interested in fooling around with this dragon.
"Shout! She can't hear anything. Anyways you are her pet so you should care about her. Why are you stupid these days?" Nangong Ah Jin mocked the cute old dragon.
Meng Zhang was so angry that he wanted to burn Nangong Ah Jin's body and flesh in his fire but alas he controlled himself. He will let this sovereign lord go.
He will never accept that it was not because he was never able to harm a hair on Nangong Ah Jin's body.
He was letting him go because he as a senior will not be too petty with his juniors.
"Humph!" Meng Zhang decided to sleep for the night leaving Nangong Ah Jin alone to think peacefully.
"Stupid man!"
Meng Zhang muttered. "Who does he think he is?"
Nangong Ah Jin rolled his eyes at the stupid animal lying down on the ground. His eyes fell on the sleeping face of Long Lei and an unknown twinkle passes in his eyes as he continued to think about today's event.
