Chapter 35: Giant of an opponent

*Late afternoon; Arena*

Dense silence hung in the warm atmosphere. Not a single murmur or whisper could be heard in the arena.

The sky was painted a warm glow of orange from the sinking sun. It reminded Surrdon of Earth, but different as it was setting on the eastern horizon. The air was also different from Earth. Here, whether it was oxygen or whichever gas was keeping them alive, was in abundance.

He had read that it could be used while cultivating, which could only mean that it wasn't as simple as oxygen.

The fluffy clouds gave him hope.

For whatever he was about to face would kill a normal human.

Human? He scoffed in his mind.

That was an identity he had already dropped. Humans had treated him like garbage in both worlds, just like they did to demons.

Maybe this is what he was always meant to be from his birth...a demon.
