Chapter 5: Near the Final
"The Second Battles winner is Jay Khaos!" Announced the examiner. After that, I go down from the arena and walk towards my seat. The rest of the battles did not make me interested so I just sleep during all of that.
The winner of the third battle is Chen Ming. He is a unique individual that uses wind magic very well during combat. He enhances his speed and senses making him gain a higher chance of winning than his opponent. He is use a dagger because his movement and skill are like an assassin.
The winner of the fourth battle is a skilled young generation. She is Alexandra Rose or known as the "Bloody Rose". She moves just like Chen Ming but she uses a different skill that helps her hide her presence.
After hearing the examiner's announcement of the winner from the last four battles. He announced that there will be a Semifinal and Final after the participant 10 minutes break to regain energy lost and prepare themselves. The arena was being restored by the mechanic bot and being cleaned. While the participants of the semifinal prepare for the next fight. I'm sleeping in my seat, I'm very bored because there is nothing that interests me anymore. I wished that the next opponent will be someone that makes me fight seriously and at least fight me equally.
I'm now waiting for the break to be over. When he is enjoying his sleep, a man walks toward him. Sensing his presence, I open one of my eyes and glance at him to see his figure. I was surprised because the man who is walking toward me is Ray Frost. It's not like I don't like him but I was surprised to see an opportunity to proceed with my plan a bit faster. 'Atla, if I devour a drop of blood can I receive that personal mastery or skill?' I ask Atla.
[Yes, Host will receive their mastery and skill but on a degraded level. ]
'Hmm, then I need to completely kill that person and devour them.' I thought while making a grin. "It will be interesting.."
"What are you thinking about Jay?" asked Ray curious about Jay sleeping and not preparing for the next battle.
"Hmm? nothing, there's nothing that interests me so I just took a nap," I replied. I indeed have nothing to do and a nap is a very good thing that I can think of now.
"An interesting thing? I think you will find it soon enough, the princess is a very skilled and strong person while those two are talented assassins." Said Ray. He always wants to fight the princess but sadly he got beaten by Jay and don't have the chance to fight her. continuing his question he then asks Jay another question, "What do you think about the princess and those two?"
"Those people? that princess is an interesting individual to use a skill and master it good enough, but I think she's hiding her trump card. and those two are just an assassin, If I can sense them they are nothing but a bug waiting to get killed." I replied and give him some of my though because his question is quite good.
"You sure full of yourself. Well, I hope you can defeat them, I wanna see their reaction to getting beaten by a newcomer." laughed Ray imagining a funny scene that might happen later. He started to see Jay as his friend but unfortunately for him, Jay see him as a person for his plan.
"The ten minutes break is over!! Now I declared that the semifinal has started!" Declared the examiner. Tons of excitement and joy could be seen around the audience, they are waiting for the genius to fight each other and see who is the strongest.
"The fight for the first battle will be Jay against Alexandra while the second battle will be Princess Alice against Chen Ming." Announced the examiner about the upcoming battle. I didn't expect that I will be in the first battle, but it is good that I will fight her and get some of her blood gaining her assassin skill.
After waiting for the preparation, the first battle will start now. "Jay and Alexandra will now fight in the first battle, please go to the arena." shouted the examiner calling their name. So Jay and Alexandra followed the instructions and went to the arena. Facing each other directly, they wait for the fight starter. "The First Battle of the Semifinal Start NOW!!" Declared the examiner.
When hearing the declaration I just stayed at my place not moving a bit. I smiled at her which made her think she is being insulted by the smile. I heard her in a low voice about something a skill that hides her presence. Too bad for her I use my wind magic and strengthen it with my chaos element, I can sense her presence completely. But I want to make this fight longer so I didn't do anything and waited for her to attack me.
After 5 minutes nothing has happened yet, I sense that she is getting close to me while walking step by step. I pretended that I don't see her so I put a confused look on my face. Seeing my expression, she thinks I'm fooled and dash to me with her dagger. The next thing that happen was her looking at my face smirking at her. She is shocked by my sudden expression change, then using [ Wind Travel ] I appeared next to her and grab her neck.
She is punching me to get out of my grip but I took her dagger and slice a bit of her skin so I can get her blood. I take a bit of her blood and devour it completely.

I didn't expect that I received a new mastery and a new skill even though it is a degraded version, I can still level it up. Then I took her to the edge of the arena and toss her out. "The winner of the First Battle of Semifinal is Jay!" Announced the examiner. And that was it, the battle was quite short because she's easy to defeat.
Walking down the arena, I see a certain princess watching me with a shocked face like she didn't believe what just happened. Then I see Ray near my seat, he smiled at me, and naturally, I smiled back at him. "So you defeat her easily, that was not surprising considering your power," growled Ray. "Told you." I shrugged at his comment about the fight.
Now the first battle has finished, it's time for the second battle. "The second battle of Semifinal Princess Alice and Chen Ming, Please go to the arena!" Called the examiner.
