Chapter 40: Sanguine Spirit Lotus & Great Recovery Peach
Xiao Tian's group was very lucky at this point.
Just as they set out to look for soul beasts suitable for others after getting Lu Yang's soul ring, they met a 440 years old Scarlet Fire Ape.

As they were looking for soul beasts, a group of 7 Demon Wind Wolves attacked Xiao Tian's group.
The strongest of the wolves was 380 years old, the other 6 wolves were below 200 years old.
Yang Xiao killed 3 of the wolves below 200 years with Lu Yang's boost and his own soul ability with ease. Wu KongXuan killed 1 and seriously injured 1 of the wolves below 200 years. Qing'er killed the last wolf below 200 years age.
Yun Yun used the Seven Star Steps to the extreme and consecutively attacked the 380 year old Demon Wind Wolf with Lu Yang's boost.
Yang Xiao, after killing the 3 wolves went to help Yun Yun subdue the last wolf. With Yang Xiao's help, Yun Yun was able to heavily injure the last wolf.
Qing'er took the opportunity and landed the killing blow on the wolf's neck, killing it swiftly.
The reason Qing'er killed the wolf was to absorb the wolf's soul ring as it was suitable for her.
Qing'er absorbed the soul ring within an hour and was excited to get her first soul ring.
Her first soul ability was called 'Demon Wind Slash' , it compressed the wind energy on the wings and sent out wind sword slashes at the opponent. Although the attack power wasn't half as strong as Yang Xiao's, it was faster than Yang Xiao's attack and the soul power consumed was about 5%.
After getting Qing'er a soul ring, only 5 more people remained. They were Yun Yun, Wan'er, Wu KongXuan, Li Feng and Xiaomeng.
Xiao Tian's group moved deeper into the forest to look for the suitable soul beasts. They soon found a 499 year old 'Moon Wolf King'.
The wolf was 2.5 meter long and had shiny white fur. There was also a crescent moon mark on it's head.
They battled the wolf for half an hour with all their power and finally killed it.
Everyone was exhausted after the battle, except for Xiao Tian, Xiaomeng and Wan'er, as they didn't participate in the battle.
Yun Yun, cultivated for half an hour to recover he soul power and physical strength before she started absorbing the soul ring.
The soul ability she got was called 'Bright Moon Slash' , it sent out a crescent moon slash from her sword which was very sharp and extremely fast. It consumed 10% of her soul power. The best thing about the soul ability was that, it reduced the soul power consumption by half and increased the attack and speed by twice during full moon.
It took Yun Yun a whole 2 hours before she was barely able to absorb the soul ring. Yun Yun was covered in her sweat and was weak after her body was under long term pressure from the soul ring.
Xiao Tian decided to end the hunt for the day and decided to rest, ad start the hunt the next morning.

The next morning, Xiao Tian and the others set out to look for soul beasts.
After 3 hours of searching, they finally found a 389 year old 'Lightning Mink' , which was know for its fast speed and lightning attribute.
Yun Yun single handedly defeated the mink and left it for Li Feng to kill.
Li Feng killed the Lightning Mink and started absorbing it's soul ring. It took him half and hour to absorb the soul ring. The soul ability he got was called 'Lightning Flash' , it made him move so fast that it looked like a flash. It also gave him the lightning paralysis attribute to his attacks. Once the opponent is hit by Li Feng's attack while he was using Lightning Flash, the opponents muscles will become numb for a short period of time. Continuous attacks will slow down the opponents reaction by numbing the nerves.
Xiao Tian's group moved inside the forest to look for more soul beasts.
They reached a small pond and decided to rest for some time. The pond had many beautiful flowers and fishes. They were all barely 10 years old.
Xiao Tian spotted a pink lotus and became surprised. It was a 300 year old 'Sanguine Spirit Lotus' , it was a special plant soul beast. It had no attack or defense power. It was known for it's healing light, that could heal the injuries quickly. It was protected by soul beasts, as they could use it to heal themselves when injured.
Xiao Tian told the others about his observation and told them that there might be a powerful soul beast nearby.
Xiao Tian flew to the lotus with his vermillion wings and brought it to Xiaomeng.
He told Xiaomeng to stab the lotus at the center to kill it.
Xiaomeng did as Xiao Tian said and killed the Sanguine Spirit Lotus. She started absorbing the soul ring. It took her 30 minutes to absorb the soul ring.
The soul ability she got was called 'Great Recovery Peach' , which increased the recovery of physical and internal injuries by 3 times for 15 minutes. The effects cannot be stacked up. Creating one peach consumed 5% of her soul power.
Everyone was excited after learning of Xiaomeng's healing soul ability. They were relieved to know that, they could heal their injuries during battles.
Just as they were rejoicing, there was a loud beast roar not far from them. Soon, a black tiger was visible to them.
It was a 410 years old 'Vajra Demon Tiger'. It was known for its strong defense and attack.
The tiger became angry looking at the dead lotus and rushed towards Xiao Tian's group.
Yang Xiao and Li Feng fought a bitter battle with the tiger. After half an hour of battle, the tiger fell to the ground due to extreme blood loss.
Wu KongXuan went ahead and killed the tiger with a heavy punch to it's head. Wu KongXuan started absorbing the soul ring. It took him 40 minutes to absorb the soul ring.
During the time KongXuan was absorbing soul ring, Yang Xiao and Li Feng ate Xiaomeng's Peach to recover from their injuries. They had many bruises and claw marks on their bodies. It took them 15 minutes to heal their injuries after eating Xiaomeng's peaches.
The soul ability Wu KnongXuan got was called 'Vajra Demon Barrier' , it creates a black gold translucent energy barrier around him. The defense and strength increases by 100%.
Xiao Tian's group set up their tents near the pond and decided to rest for the day. They had their dinner and went to sleep.
This time Wu KongXuan and Li Feng took turns to guard the surrounding.

Now, only Wan'er and Xiao Tian didn't have soul rings yet.

They ventured the forest for 2 hours and finally found a suitable soul beast for Wan'er. The beast was standing right in front of them, with blood red eyes staring at them fiercely.
