Chapter 78: Chapter 31 - Gabriella (2)

He blinks. "You're hungry. Of course. We haven't had dinner yet. What do you want to eat?" He checks the fridge for leftovers or whatever Celia prepared for dinner. We had some popcorn and chips during the movie, but that was not enough for me. I need food. "I can make us a sandwich," he offers.

"Actually, I want a burger." I grab my phone and open the delivery app. "Do you want one?"

He closes the fridge and walks over to me. "Are you going to order?"

"Yeah. I'm craving for a burger. And fries. Lots of it. The greasier the better." I laugh, tapping and scrolling at the screen. Sorry popcorn, but I prefer fries and movies.

Mariano is silent next to me, and I wonder if he has chosen something he wants to eat so I wait for him to tell me. That or maybe he thinks I'm gross for wanting to eat greasy fries this late and he doesn't know how to react. I don't care what he thinks though. I'll eat what I want to eat.
