Chapter 137: Prosperous Kingdom (01)
When I woke up today, I saw Cassandra still awake.
She kept her promise, and stayed up throughout the night, watching us as we slept peacefully.
While a small sacrifice, it still made me happy that she was willing to do something for us considering we got to know each other just yesterday.
It was a good first step towards building a good relationship.
Miwen: "Are you not tired?"
Cassandra: "I'm fine. You can sleep the entire day if you want."
Miwen: "Pfft, I wish. There's a lot I want to do today. As for you... rest well Cassandra, you've done a good job."
Cassandra: "I'll be waiting for a biiig reward then. Also, call me when you finish breakfast~"
With her gestures and emphasis on the word "big", I could pretty much guess what she wanted from me.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't interested though, so I decided that I would give her the reward she wanted tonight.

uwuzer One thing I'd like to note is that no character depicted in this chapter is a minor, a kid, or a loli.
Every girl present, even the ones that are on the cuter side, and thus look a bit younger, are at least Miwen's age,18 years old, even if Miwen himself wasn't too sure about it at first.
Given the situation, Miwen couldn't simply avoid looking at them, as even at level one, there's always the possibility that they have such a Gift that they can pose a threat, and I also needed to describe them a little bit, but I tried to make it obvious that Miwen tried not to look more than necessary to characters he wasn't sure about the age.
I highly recommend looking at the reference images to confirm for yourselves that while they might look a bit young, they can also easily be 18+.
On another topic, there's a character with quite a dark backstory introduced in this chapter. When the time comes I'll try to be nuanced about it, simply because being explicit would disgust me and is probably not allowed on Webnovel. I also don't think it would be an enjoyable experience to read.
I'll try my best to work with her in a way that feels fitting to the rest of the story, and while my personal feelings about characters don't usually dictate the things that will happen to them, she is an exception.
Last thing, this was supposed to be the last chapter of the early days, but as usual, I ended up making it too long, so I had to split it into two.
Sorry that I'm so bad at calculating the number of chapters until the next big thing, but thanks for reading anyway ^^
