Chapter 31: Chapter 31
The castle had a main entrance and three less known secret entrances, the main entrance would be guarded for sure if the enemies had taken control of the castle, on the other side even Sam who was a native didn't know the location of the other entrances so the enemy probably didn't even know they existed, they were secret entrances used by lord Dominic when he was still alive, it was rumored that he used them to bring women in sneakily without his wife knowing.
"Have one of you been here before ?"
As soon as Sam said that the four others nodded, even Edward had been here before !
Sam looked weirdly at his friend who smiled sneakily, he had never heard of him coming here before even though they told each other almost everything.
"I came on a date when I was 15."
Sam wasn't even surprised, this friend of his was just too good with women, he remembered during their last year of high school, Edward had went on a date with their chemistry teacher, at the time even Sam felt jealous, she was 24, great looking, with a sexy body and a great personality.
"Alright forget it, do you know where the secret entrances are ?"
"I haven't done the guided tour, I only know where the main one is."
Edward shrugged and replied, if you came to the castle before, you could freely visit it as you wished or you could go on a 2 hours guided tour around every single room in the castle and their history, Sam was hoping one of them had a bit more knowledge about this place than he had.
"I have came during my high school days, I don't remember the exact location of the secret entrances but I think we can find them pretty easily as I have the rough locations in mind."
Sarah said and was followed right away by Ella:
"Me too, I remember one of the entrances is on the west side of the castle and it's a hole in a tree."
"Ohhhh yes yes ! That's right, I remember that tree !"
Sam looked at the small forest that was between them and the castle and smiled, if they could find that tree that would make this task a lot easier.
"Alright, let's go look for the tree. All of you stay at least within 5 meters of one another, if anything happen : call for help ! If you can't call for help : shoot your emergency flare, got it ?"
Sam tried to have a solution for any unwanted situation, this team was under his supervision so he would do his best to take them all back home with him.
Ella who was the most experienced leader in the team nodded approvingly, he was doing everything right until now without a doubt. Although his methods were a bit crude, they were still great for the survival of his team.
"Let's go, if you find the tree let us know silently, we don't want to have an all out fight but to take the enemy down one by one, today none of us is a warrior, we are all assassins."
It sounded weird for them to hear that they weren't warriors as they were soldiers and they saw themselves as strong warriors who were afraid of nothing but Sam was right, if they got caught in an all out fight in the middle of enemy territory they would die for sure and they definitely weren't stupid, they had been through enough life and death situations to know when to adapt.
"Mhhhhh... yeah keep going."
As they kept walking in the small forest while looking for a hole in a tree big enough to fit a person, they heard a voice close to them.
Sam gestured with his hand and they all stopped without a sound, with another gesture he ordered Sid who had the best sneaky skills to walk around the big tree and to check what was going on.
The team gathered around Sam and they looked at Sid cautiously walking forward, soon he stopped and peaked behind the tree.
When he looked back at Sam he was completely flushed, he gestured for the team to come forward and check for themselves.
Soon Sam peaked behind the tree too and saw two men, one on his knees and the other one standing against the tree while moaning in pleasure, what they were doing was quite obvious.
'Perfect opportunity, these uniforms aren't from Moryl so they must be enemies.'
Sam turned back to look at his team and with his palm facing towards him, Sam swiped it over his bellybutton.
As soon as they saw that, all his team's eyes became determined, Ella nimbly jumped over a branch and pulled out her bow out of nowhere, Sid pulled out a one meter long sword that resembled a katana. Meanwhile Edward and Sara stayed behind, this was a job that had to be done in seconds and since they were tanks specialized in head on fights, they weren't qualified to take part in this kind of assassination operations.
Sam also pulled out his Midnight daggers, one in each hand and sneaked begins the man on his knees, since the man standing had his eyes closed and was enjoying the moment he didn't see Sam approaching, in a split second one man was missing his head.
The corpse fell onto the ground while the head had a small delay before following, the man standing wasn't given the time to realize what was happening when he suddenly had a hand over his mouth and a dagger pushing against his neck.
His genital that had been hard a second ago suddenly went floppy as he felt the cold killing intent flowing from behind him, Sid was the one who was holding him while Sam was staring at him in the eyes.
Tears suddenly formed in his eyes as he looked at the corpse on the ground but he couldn't muster a single word because he felt that if he even tried to speak the dagger would dig into his throat.
"Alright listen to me very attentively, I want three things from you and then I'll take your life. If you try to do anything that displease me such as lying, screaming or whatever I don't like, I'll torture you to death before giving your body away to alien beasts to feast on. If you understand, blink two times."
As he said that, the man suddenly got a determined glint in his eyes and tried to rush towards Sid's dagger to kill himself, Sam who felt that was going to happen when he saw the change in his eyes had already pulled away Sid's dagger and smiled at the guy.
"Way too early to die isn't it ? I need answers from you before I let you go. Let's take him further away from here, we can come back to the castle after we are done with the interrogation."
Sam signaled to his team to initiate retreat, Sid shut the guy's mouth with his own shirt, Edward pushed him over his shoulder and hey started running in the direction they had came, this was quite a rewarding trip even though they hadn't even reached the castle !
