Chapter 8: 8.Back into the Game
"Hey JJ, what's up with the man from before."
"Nevermind that guy, he tried to steal my smartwatch. So he deserved some beatings."
"I can't seem to wonder why he decided you were an easy prey."
"That's true. But it seems we can't find now can we." JJ laughs it off and resumes his conversation.
Noel and JJ had a good time as they talked about their experiences after separations and the topic finally came towards Galaxy Wars Online.
JJ excitedly asks, "Hey Noel, have you played this new VR game Galaxy Wars Online. I played it for the past week and the tutorial was shit you know. We can't even call that a tutorial. That was so hard that I almost failed the tutorial."
"I should have just chosen not to play the tutorial and now I heard the other players have a 7days headstart over the players who choose to play the tutorials they were boasting all over the forums."
"Calm down JJ, it's ok. The game just started and we haven't even got the reward for completing the tutorial yet."
Noel and JJ talk about the game and their experience inside it, Noel knew that JJ was going to be ok at the early stages of the game and he would also experience the downfall only after the First Major Update.
They both have a great time and Noel ended up getting back home way past midnight. Getting into the house he could notice that both Julian and Andrea are in their rooms and probably slept off. Noel was tired and half-drunk as well so he retired for the night.

An Hour Before the Game Launches Again,
Noel browse through the official forums of Galaxy Wars Online looking for any information he could find. This virtual reality game is unprecedented as its hosted by the federation itself. And no private company or unions have any hold on it like the previous games.
Each and every person who has registered themselves as a citizen of the United Federation have been sent their own gaming capsule if they are above the age of 18. This was unprecedented as supplying the whole population of the federation with gaming capsules was an enormous task.
Even though this event raised some questions and theories. It was all drowned in the news and was not made a big deal out of it and was treated as another welfare by the federation.
Looking through the forums Noel could not find much as everything he saw could be summarized in a few categories,
1. The tutorial is too hard
2. The tutorial is a scam
3. We got a 7day headstart
4. Are you an adventurer or a leader
5. Fake information leaks
Noel was bored and annoyed at this futile effort to find any interesting piece of info. With nothing to do he reminisced on the two days, he spent with his siblings. The trio went to an amusement park, did some shopping, a theatre, and much more as the 2 days were fully packed with excitement.
Noel knew he won't be able to come out of the game much as the early stages of the game were very crucial for his foundation as he has to increase his lead over the other players as soon as possible.
He was determined to rise to the peak and build a stable foundation so that he can save his family and not be separated from them this time. There was only one worry in his heart as to whether his changing the timeline would cause butterfly effects this early into the game. Since he has not played the tutorial before this reincarnation. He was quite nervous about the changes that would bring him.
Looking at the timer that indicated 10 Minute remaining before the game can be accessed, Noel gathered his resolve and he exited the Virtual Skynet and stopped browsing the forums. He switched to his personal dimension which was a virtual space allocated to each and every individual of the federation. Looking at the 15x15 House with basic furnishing in the personal dimension, Noel sighs as he was only able to do this much with 2 years of work.
The Personal Dimension can be inherited and combined with family members and the to start combining as long as the Primary dimension has Diamond level authority and the secondary dimension accepts the merge then it will be merged. This was done so that the new generation can inherit their parents and move into a proper virtual space.
Noel's parents had their own personal dimension, but since they died the authority that Noel had was only Bronze Level and he couldn't initiate a merger even if he tried through the United Federation. And was said to raise his own authority to inherit or merge his parent's dimension into his own.
With the levels of authority each and every individual can earn through contribution in the federation being,
Bronze>Silver>Gold>Diamond>Platinum>Obsidian>Eternium
This was one of his regrets as even 15 years in his past reincarnation the highest he could reach was Gold Level and was not able to merge the dimensions. But he did find a clue to suggest that merging will help him solve how his parents died.
Although what he heard from an official stance from the federation was that his Father Gray Dragneel and his mother Ella Dragneel who were both scientists that work for the federation died due to a terrorist attack.
His parents died in the year 2090 when he was just 10 and both Andrea and Julian were only 6 years olds. With uncle Mark Jameson's help, he was able to take care of his siblings. Due to this Noel had matured a lot faster than other kids his age. Although the federation promised financial support till they reached the age of 18. It just didn't feel right and Noel always felt that something was sketchy about his parent's death.
Looking at the minute clocking down, Noel swore to use his knowledge and his reincarnation to find out the truth as well as save his family and friends by building up a strong foundation in the early stage of the game and showing that he was below no one.
