Chapter 46: Dangerous situations
After months of travel, we reached Tumbleton With our nine thousand slow-moving infantry soldiers. But everything is not going well for me now. Because we're currently running low on the supplies.
And Some people are not very satisfied with me as their commander. Most of them are second sons and bastards or others that are not very important of the Storm lords that packed with me.
They are given the command to lead their levies. And because I'm an outsider they don't value my authority. And many times they complained about my leadership skills.

Though we are lacking in supplies, I believe the amount we have, we can still make it to Riverland.
But the arrogant Nobles under my command want to attack the Town of Tumbleton . For gaining war merits and more supplies for the troops and loots. And they believe that sacking it will solve everything. They aren't counting the casualties on our side !!!
Well, the brilliant thing is that we can take Tumbleton with less than two thousand and five hundred Men.
Because of the intel that my subordinate Morty gathered that The amount of troops the town currently have is less than One thousand Men Most of them is a fresh recruit. Because of most of their elites, The knights of Tumbleton are not here because they are currently going to Ashford to Join Mace Tyrells host and fight Robert.
Well, Robert has given the enemy a great distraction, By entering the Reach first with his cavalry. So The lords of the Reach are moving in his direction. And that gave us enough time to safely travel from this Kingdom.
But my current fear is Lord Rowan of Goldengrobe. That Lord has few lesser Lord of his own and can master big forces as well. Thus I sent my best Rider Alfy to scout his position and the number of troops. But Alfy still has not arrived with his report yet.
I'm currently holding a meeting with my subordinates. And someone hurriedly entered the tent. And what u know? it's is my former squire Alfy, Who is huffing and puffing.
" Relax Alfy, take a deep breath. someone give him a water skin Now!!!." I can see that he's exhausted from riding. After his condition become better I asked him " Alright what is the situation of our enemies lad ? "
Alfy took a deep breath " Yes my Lord, We are doomed. There are more than 12000 thousands men lead by Lord Rowan is coming and Four thousand of them are knights from different Houses. House Osgray, Webber, Crane, and Roxton. And they're coming with their combined forces. They don't have much baggage so they will be arriving here tomorrow my lord. We must hurry !!!" he started to panic for some reason. And it's affecting my other subordinates as well. But I kinda know that something like this might happen and I already have a brilliant plan for how to escape this situation.
So I explained to them that the nobles under my command want to attack this town. And I'm going let them attack it. And I will be keeping those obedient to me and leave for Riverland.
They won't be needing all the forces for the siege. So I will give them Four thousand to take the town and holding it until Lord Robert arrives. And We will leave for the RIVERLAND With Five thousand Men and the current supplies.
Those half lords do not like me anyway. So I don't care if they get slaughtered. They are going to provide a great distraction and buy us enough time to escape safely.
In my opinion, every moment I stay here is dangerous. Because this place is the nearest the CrownLand. And they can come after us any moment. So fighting the Reach is not a good option for now, even though I might win the battle. But winning a battle won't win the war.
I hate to sacrifice them but I don't have much of a choice here. I have a limit on what I can do! I could kill few hundreds on my own but my soldiers can't keep up with the ten vs one.
So I'm going to sacrifice those that starting a mutiny on my ranks.
My Rick and Hale didn't like my idea but they know that it's the only option.
Thus I gave the command to one of the Knight that the arrogant Nobles chose to follow as their leader. His name is Roland Bucklers or something and he will be taking four thousand to attack the town. Taking the town won't be hard for him, But keeping it will be.
Thus those that I thought little loyal to me started to pack up. And those that will be staying are gearing up for the attack.
I know that Robert can escape when the situation is not in his favor and that guy has the best plot armor so he will be fine.
And my new goal is to take these men to the Riverland safely and join with the allied powers.
Well, I will have to come back to Stony Sept to save Robert and kick John Connintons ass in the "Battle of the Bells", So I'll have plenty of opportunities for climbing the ladder.
