--------------------------------------------

Maester, Jones, seeing his lady like that, tried to stop her, but she refused to listen to him. He could only give her the child after seeing her determination to hold her son with her hands.

"Leave the room." Said Cassana among her tears. She wanted to mourn her dead child on her own and did not want to look at anyone in the eyes right now.

"But, my lady..." The maester wanted to tell her that they needed some time to help her as well, as she just gave birth and lost much blood in the process. Before he could complete what he wanted to tell her that, though, he got interrupted since her heart hurt her and wanted to have some special time with her dead son.

"Leave me a little time to say goodbye." Said Cassana as she did not even look at maester, Jones, after saying those words. The man could not help but shake his head and take the other servants with him outside, leaving the mother and son alone.

"I am sorry, my dear. It is your mother's fault." Said Cassana, who started to cry more and more when she remembered her husband's letter. Steffon told her about her father by law's wish before he died, and she wanted to fulfill his dream. If it was not before he died, she and her husband might argue with him, but she could not do that at the moment.

Cassana continued with her grief for a moment or so while holding her son in her hands. Her tears and snots covered the boy's face because of that. The woman started praying for the seven and every god that she heard of in this world to help her, and she would worship him if he revived her dead son.

Here, the author decided to use his chance and enter the game and perform a trick or two. Not to mention that the new Eddard was the hero of his book, but he could not see a mother cry without helping her. Since he could use Cassana to mess with Edward here and there, the author decided to interfere and gain his first believer in Westeros.

'You said you would be my believer if I helped you.' Said the author directly to Cassana's mind and waited to see her reaction.

Although Cassana was crying and grieving for her son, she could not ignore a voice that spoke directly in her mind like that. Even if you have a strong will, hearing that voice will make you think you are hallucinating already. So what do you expect Cassana's reaction would be when she heard that voice after praying for any god to save her son.

Cassana, who still had tears in her eyes that did not go away because of her grieve, looked left and right to see who was talking to her. When she did not find anyone after searching the whole room with her eyes, she thought she was only hallucinating because of her pain and sorrow and decided to ignore what happened and turn her eyes back to her son.

'Ignoring me or something?' Asked the author as he spoke directly in Cassana's ears when he saw that she gave up looking for him after only looking left and right without exerting more effort.

This time, Cassana tried to move with her son in her hands in shock after hearing that voice again because she was a little afraid this time. She did not expect to hear that voice again so fast. So Cassana could only use her eyes to look left and right, searching for the source of that voice, but she could not find anything this time as well. Cassana started to think that she was going crazy after all this since she was the only one in the chamber.

"Who is there?" Asked Cassana in fear with a loud voice since she could not find the person talking to her. She was still mourning her dead son when this happened. The maids and maester outside the room heard her words, but they did not react as if some force was binding their movements, making them unable to enter the room. They could not even say a word and could only listen to their lady's disparate words.

'Don't look. You can't find me. I am The Lord in this world. I am the god.' Said the author deep in Cassana's soul as he laughed a little after saying those words. Whenever he impersonated the identity of a god, he would feel that he was awesome.

Cassana stood in her place in shock after hearing those words, not knowing what to say. She was afraid to say something that might offend him and make him punish her and her family for that. She did not know how to behave right at the moment. Suddenly, she thought of something.

"Are you one of the seven?" Asked Cassana with fear and respect in her voice while holding her dead son dear near her heart. If the one talking to her was one of the seven, that meant that her devotions earlier might have gained their mercy.

"There are no seven. There is only me." Said the author with a small laugh after hearing Cassana's words making Cassana stood there in her place in a daze. The matter of faith was really hard since you would find that all you believed in your life was fake. The author wondered what made those fools believe in the seven when there were no indications that they existed in the first place. The seven was just a faith brought with the Andals when they invaded Westeros. Even the old gods in the North had more indications than the seven themselves.

"Anyway, I will help you this time and return your son's life back to you. You know who you will worship right now, right? I am the lord of Darkness, The Author." Said the author with a laugh as he was pleased with himself after saying those words. Who did not wish to be a god and control everything?

Cassana could swear that she saw the figure of a handsome man appearing in front of her eyes after hearing those words before waving with his hands in the son's direction. After he did that, a green wind or something flew from his hands towards her son and entered his body, making no changes, though.

When Cassana looked again to question the young man about what he did, she could not see the young and handsome man who stood by her side a moment ago.
