Chapter 15: A Chance Encounter!

Chapter 15

[System prompt]: A training object has been added, Amber.

Object Name: Amber

Level: Lv5

Elemental Mastery: Pyro

Skills: Baron Bunny Lv1, Fiery Rain Lv1.

Jason looked at the system panel in satisfaction.

Amber eliminated all the remaining enemies outside the platform, jumping two levels directly.

The same is true for Lumine, who is already at level 4. She easily defeated the hilichurl shooters.

Because of his experience with Fischl, he knew that it was relatively easy to level up in the early stage. So, there was nothing to be surprised about.

"Amber, use this!"

Lumine took out a white handkerchief from her pocket and handed it to Amber. A pattern of the golden flower was embroidered into the cloth.

"Lumine, you need it more, right?"

Amber simply laughed off and wiped sweats off her face with her clothes.

Lumine was sweating a lot due to the intense battle with hilichurl grenadier and shooters. So she was embarrassed after Amber pointed it out.

"I'm fine."

Lumine shook her head. She didn't want to continue this topic anymore.

Then, she looked at the other exit of the hall, with her eyebrows frowned slightly.

There was only a short small platform and a cliff outside with no visible way to go up.

Strangely, there was a pyro monument built there.

"Sure enough, since it was a former temple, there must be a way to go up."

Amber immediately realized the way after seeing the pyro monument.

In Teyvat, Elemental monuments are often used to reveal hidden chests or unlock some domains.

So, she pulled up her arrow and started condensing fire elements, then she directly shot at the monument.

The flames ignited the monument, triggering the mechanism.

Below the cliff, a strong wind suddenly started blowing up.

The three of them swayed under their feet due to the strong wind current, almost losing their composure.

"So, you can activate the monuments by using corresponding elemental energy." Lumine immediately realized.

"Yes, let's glide up!"

Amber opened her wind gliders and jumped up. She quickly started flying due to the strong wind currents.

"Let's go as well!" Jason also released his wind gliders and followed her, letting the wind glide him towards the upper part of the temple.

"Dragon's breath! Is that where the power is coming from?"

After landing, Jason and Lumine heard Amber's voice.

"According to Lisa, Stormterror should have used this thing, and there's still some of its residual power left in the temple."

Amber pointed to a dark green object in the hall's center wrapped around with wind element.

Then, she pulled her arrow, started forming a flaming arrow, and shot it in the direction of the object.

The green object was easily destroyed due to the fusion of wind and fire elements.

After seeing this, Amber breathed a sigh of relief.

"In this way, the Temple of the Falcon of the West is finally cleaned up."

"Phew, I'm tired."

"But, at least this way we've helped Jean out." Amber said with a relieved smile.

The remaining dragon's power in the temple rapidly faded after the green object was shattered.

So, the three of them returned in the same way as before.

"In the past, we were at least able to defend the city and keep it safe. This, of course, is mostly thanks to Jean." Amber started talking on the way back.

"But now with Stormterror directly attacking the city itself... The winds change, so too should our tactics." Amber tried to sound deep while saying it.

"Very philosophical..." Lumine murmured.

Lumine was not a local, so she didn't fully understand Amber's meaning.

Amber slightly blushed after hearing this and replied, "It's what Lisa likes to say."

"Lumine, if you want to learn more about our history, just ask Lisa."

"First of all, I'm not saying I don't know our history! It's just..." Amber realized her mistake waved her hands and tried to excuse herself, "After all, Lisa is a librarian. So, she is supposed to be more knowledgeable than an Outrider like me, right?"

"I suppose so?" Lumine murmured, then she peeked at the boy beside her.

She felt that Jason also knew many things, so there was no need to ask Lisa.

The three returned to the temple entrance, from which they could see the city of Mondstadt.

There were dark clouds in the sky, and the city was still shrouded in a storm.

Stormterror's incident is yet to be solved...

"Aren't Kaeya and Lisa done yet?"

Jason asked after not seeing them. He thought they would be done by now.

"Temples of Wolf of the North and Lion of the South are much farther than the temple of Falcon of the West, which is closer to Mondstadt. Therefore, the degree of danger is correspondingly higher there."

Amber said, as a matter of fact, "So... Even if Kaeya and Lisa are very powerful, it is impossible to complete their task so quickly."

If it weren't for Jason and Lumine's help, it would also take a long time for her to complete her task.

"Are we going to help?" Lumine actively asked him.

The fact is, she was very interested in the monsters inside those two temples.

She thought eliminating them would make her a bit stronger.

Jason looked at her eager expression to fight and was a little speechless.

Why does Lumine look like a fighting freak? She wasn't like this before.

Just when he was about to speak out...

From the direction of Mondstadt, he found a figure running out of the bridge near the city gate.

At this point in time, the people of Mondstadt were busy hiding in their houses. So, only the knights were probably active on the streets.

Therefore, whoever comes out at such a time is very suspicious.

The visitor was a tall and slender man with pale skin, red eyes, and bright red hair, worn in a low ponytail that extended to his mid-back. His expression was cold, stern, exasperated, or unimpressed.

To be short, the guest was a handsome and elegant guy.

"Oh?" The visitor also noticed their presence, showing a playful smile.

"Boss Jason, when did you start acting with such a little girl of the Knights?" The handsome guy asked with some sarcasm.

Amber was very dissatisfied listening to his ridicule and clenched her fist in frustration.

After listening, Paimon also shared Amber's dislike.

Not to mention that she just formed a friendship with her today.

Not to mention, Amber was a lovely person who invited her to a big meal.

So to repay the favor, she pointed her short finger at the man and said in an old-fashioned manner, "Hey, redhead, Paimon is talking to you! Who are you calling a little girl!? Amber is very powerful, don't underestimate her!"

"Really?" The man was still half-smiling. It looked weird on his face, to be honest.

"You..." Paimon wanted to take a step forward and reason with him.

But, Jason reached out to stop her and said to the person, "Diluc, why did you come out at such time? Where do you want to go?"

The person in front of them was the wealthiest gentleman in Mondstadt, Diluc Ragnvindr.

Diluc wears a black dress shirt, a long white vest, and a black ascot with a red gem. Over this, he dons a dark brown coat. He wears black pants embellished with chains on his right thigh, while his Vision is attached to a belt. Diluc also wears cuffed, dark brown boots and a pair of black gloves, which he has a habit of adjusting.

"With your intelligence, you should have already guessed it, right? So excuse me, I'll take a step first." Diluc waved his hand dashingly and walked right in front of them after speaking.

Jason looked at his back, then glanced sideways at the cute Outrider Knight beside him.

Then, he started pondering...

He already has Amber...

Does he need to train Diluc?

This question is worth thinking about...
