Chapter 1: Prologue
When Jason awoke, he found himself lying down on a marble floor. Meeting his gaze was a gold ceiling decked with strange inscriptions he had never seen before. A soft, alluring voice broke his train of thoughts. He was certain he had died as a result of a truck accident while crossing a road; where was this place?

"Fufu it looks like you're one lucky individual, mortal."
Standing up, he turned his head to see a pretty young lady seated on a golden-high back chair. Her skin was pale and smooth, and she had flowing silver hair that reached all the way down the floor.
"Is this … heaven? I didn't know that God was actually a beautiful girl."
"Y-you think so? It's the first time in a millennium I've heard such praise. All the other Gods are always stealing the souls and I haven't managed to reincarnate any for a millennium already… I must rack up my karma points now!"
"Err … wait. Other Gods? Stealing Souls?"
The girl cut him off before he could ask any more questions.
"There's a time limit to how long a soul can exist in the Divine Realm. So I'll keep it short. Since you have been assigned to me, as per the rules of the Supreme Goddess you'll get 10 powers to take into your next reincarnation."
(A time limit ... Although I can't ascertain the authenticity of what she's saying, I should try to get whatever benefits I can still; there's nothing for me to lose anyway. That's the most important since from the way she is speaking - I'm probably going to be reincarnated in a new world.)
"Do I get to choose them?"
A pair of yellow eyes looked down upon him. "Nope. The thousands of powers I have in my possession are too strong and will break the balance of the world you are reincarnating in. So you'll get the 3 weakest powers I have in my possession."
"Argh … I suppose it's better than nothing."
"So first, I'll give you the weakest power I have. You will get a blessing from me that allows you to have perfect mastery and full comprehension - for the sun-breathing forms by Yoiirichi Tsugikuni, the master swordsman in Demon Slayer. However, you'll need to temper your physical body to ensure it can handle the demands of it."
Jason nodded. "That doesn't sound bad."
He had read the series before and knew how incredibly powerful the sword moves were.
(But I wonder what kind of world I'm reincarnating into though? If I ended up in some crazy universe like the Warhammer 40k I'm quite sure these techniques would be irrelevant … Hopefully, it's a place where the abilities will prove useful.)
"For your 2nd power, to help temper your body to handle the demands of the sword technique, I'll grant you a blessing that enables you to have perfect mastery over total concentration technique of the demon slayer corps, if you work hard you should be able to wield some of the techniques in a few years time after you reincarnate. You'll be reborn in a young man's body - so starting right away with your training is not an issue."

Jason was at a loss for words. That was useful for a second power, but not game-breaking. Shouldn't it be part of the package together with the first? He prayed the last power would be something that gave much more potential for growth - like maybe a system power.
"And for your final power, you'll get a gift - A normal Nichirin Blade used by the demon slayer corps! Be careful not to break it though fufu … You won't be able to access the materials to make one unless you reach 'that' continent."
'Wait! That's it??"
"Hmph, you should be thankful I even gave you the Yoriichi Starter Pack. If it were any other Gods, they would probably have given you the Slime Starter Pack or Hilchurl Starter Pack. I'm not a sadistic God like them so count your blessings!"
He kept quiet for a moment. It wasn't wise to complain any further. At least he had some powers to start with in a new world - that was something to be grateful for.
"What world will I be reincarnating in?"
"It's a surprise ~, so I can't say." the girl covered her mouth with her hands. "However, considering you were only granted three powers instead of the usual ten as a result of the limitations. I shall give you an extra perk … you'll get to make a wish .... any wish. As long as it's within my power, I will make it happen for you."
The girl shot a provocative glance at him. She then crossed her legs, exposing her snow-white thighs all the way up to her incredibly short skirt.
Jason took a deep breath, weighing his options.
"I want to be … a God."
"Ara ara, what a demanding man you are." the girl licked her lips seductively and began to walk over to him.
He kept quiet, watching her every movement.
"This one slightly goes against the rules but ... It will be fun to watch the other gods go crazy later on and try to stop you," she whispered. "I can't make you a God like me obviously, that's something only the Supreme Goddess can decide. I'll make you a God in the new world you're reincarnating in - but there is a catch."
"A catch?"
"What do you think? Of course! I can't just make you one right off the bat. That'll be no fun. It's so boring here you know!" the girl took a few steps back and shook her head.
(Boring? My life's just entertainment for her it appears ...)
"I'll grant your request. There just happens to be a God … or Archon as they call in there in your new world who's looking to retire after being one for thousands of years; so it's a loophole I can take advantage of. When the time comes, I'll see to it that you get a Vision of your own and recognition from the Gnosis - befitting as the next Lord of Geo. You'll be that man's appointed successor henceforth. Until the day comes when you take over his position, I hope you don't die~."
Vision? Lord of Geo? There were so many questions flooding Jason's mind right now. But he guessed he could save them for later. At least he would become a God in the future, that was great! Gods were definitely powerful beings. He didn't want to annoy the strange goddess with his questioning and lead her to change her mind.
"Thanks. How long will it take after I'm reincarnated to become a God … or Archon as you put it?"
"Who knows? But when you get your vision, Rex Lapis shall seek you out to make you his successor. Now, I have to wipe your memories about the 'becoming a God' part that we just talked about. I can't have the Supreme Goddess and the other Gods finding out about this and sending their own people to hunt you so early on~ oops! I said too much. Bye Bye~"
A bout of dizziness began to overtake Jason, and he soon found his world turning black ...
