Chapter 30: Knock Me out

Everything was happening too quickly for Nessa to comprehend. One moment Damon was flirting with her - he was so dead serious that she thought he meant it - but of course, it turns out he was joking. Like what was she expecting anyway  - not that she was expecting anything or something from Damon of all people. Yeah, definitely not. 

But then, his curiosity was now moved to the moon which was kind of strange. Why was he even interested in that in the first place? It was kind of giving her werewolf creeps and all - even though it was impossible. However, you get the point. 

"T-there is one," Nessa informed him, staring at the bright moon illuminating the earth. As Damon premeditated, it was a full moon hanging large in the starry sky and through its light, she could see they were in an apartment in the middle of nowhere. 

There was a cold stillness outside, the moon cast eerie shadows among the trees and the only contrast against the calmness was the chirping of crickets.
