Chapter 569: He Had To Put His Pride Aside For A Moment

"M-mom!"

Lucas and Amanda followed Kevin who rushed to the door. The nurses who pushed the bed paused, allowing them to look at Linda.

A gauze wrapped around Linda's forehead, including her right arm and left leg. Thin cuts left reddish-blue marks on her skin. One of her eyes was covered with a patch.

"Oh... Mom..."

Kevin's teary eyes almost rolled down tears but, he held himself back. Lucas grasped his brother's right shoulder before squeezing it. He changed to patting Kevin's back.

"How's our mother, doctor?" Lucas kept his voice steady. He began asking the doctor who led the team, "Does she suffer any broken bones? How about concussion?"

Kevin glanced at his elder brother before focusing on the doctor. He also wanted to know the important details of their mother's injury. 

"Y-yes, doctor. Please tell us," Kevin's voice had a slight tremor. He insisted, "Please! Tell us everything!"
