Chapter 23: There is no plot in the apocalypse(6)
Although they noticed the increased looks they've been getting,the whole family was too busy planning for the apocalypse to care,to them,after the apocalypse looks would be worth nothing,and if you're beautiful/handsome but can't protect yourself,then you'll learn to even hate being born beautiful/handsome.They'd rather be ugly and stay safe than beautiful and powerless
So far,elizabeth doesn't plan on meeting her beloved yet,because she knows that since the soul has technically changed,her husband should react more to her,but she doesn't want him to be in conflict with himself right now when the apocalypse is so close by,so she decided to make her preparations more complete rather than meet him
So far,they've gotten all the items they need,and in large bulks as well,although they might not have every single thing in the world,they have enough to live under any conditions,and for a long time at that
With the help of ivy,elizabeth managed to collect a few rare jades that had strings of spiritual powers in them to upgrade her space to level 25,she can now enter her space,but her family can't yet enter,because it would be considered against the laws of this world,at least until the arrival of the apocalypse
Besides preparing for the apocalypse,they've pretty much gathered everything beth spoke of when she first came,Mrs.Angela had contacted her friend caroline and managed to get all the 30 warehouses worth of medicine,as she felt guilty,mrs.angela paid a 100 million dollars for the medicine instead of a the original 50 million,beth said nothing about this,firstly because money would become pointless in a month,secondly if it helps reduce her mother's guilt,then there's nothing wrong with her giving a little extra money, also this was good,as in the past,the person who originally bought the 30 warehouses full of medicine was really unlucky and turned to a zombie,later the one who found the 30 warehouses was not exactly a nice person and literally wasted the medicine on the slightest issues
Besides Mrs.Angela contacting caroline and later getting the medicine,or the second day after the supposed rebirth of beth,they hadn't yet started collecting things,because they were too busy making sure lucas,harmony,and angie were alright,Lucas was the little brother of Mrs.Angela,he had burnt brown hair with orphan blue eyes,Harmony was the wife of lucas,and also mrs.angela's bestfriend,she had caramel brown hair with enchanting grey eyes,while Angie is their adopted cousin,she has golden honey colored hair,and vastly volcanic red eyes,she's also the bestfriend of beth,and the person in possession of the warehouse filled with seeds,there were many different kinds of seeds,all the way from simple flowers to rice grains and such
Beth had already planted all the seeds in her space,and she got ivy to increase the time of the space making it 8:1 when compared to the outside world,so one day outside is eight days in the space,besides that due to the very rich soil of the space,and the fact that ivy could technically be considered to be all knowledgeable,it always optimized and changed the soil to suit the said seed perfectly making all the seeds grow beautifully into their respected fruits/plants,creating a very beautiful scenery filled with a myriad of colors that don't conflict each other creating a beautiful plateau of colors.
2 weeks ago(when lucas,harmony,and angie arrived)
Lucas:"we're here sis,why did you call us to come so urgently,is there a problem,did something happen?"
Harmony:"is everyone alright,also if there is any trouble was it caused by that bimbo whose name I don't want to pronounce,if so angela,I warned you that you shouldn't be so nice even if her daughter is related to your husband"
Angie:"speaking of those two,where even are they,especially crystal,she' always trying to rub in the fact that i'm adopted to my face"
Mrs.Angela:"no lucas,there is no problems,we just have something to tell you,and about those two..."
Harmony:"well,what about those two"
Caleb:"ha!,we finally kicked them out that's what,turns out,that girl wasn't even related to my father at all"
Angie:"WHAT,you guys actually kicked them out...I mean it's about time,but you guys didn't look like you planned on doing so,at least not anytime soon"
Mr.Parker:"alright,enough excitement,Elizabeth just happened to have recorded a conversation between mark and stella"
Lucas:"mark?,hah,I knew that man was no good"
Harmony:"wait,so she's not parker's child,and is instead mark's child?"
Mrs.Angela:"yeah,that's the case"
Angie:"wow,things took a turn real fast,I've been so shocked today,I don't think I'm going to be in a state of shock for at least two more weeks...that is unless caleb over here proposes,then I'll be more shocked than hearing this news"
Elizabeth:"you'd be surprised at how shocked you'll be soon,also stop teasing my brother so much,least he decides to hide from you for the rest of his life"
Caleb:"geez sis,you're the one teasing me,also who said I'm not a man,I'll propose to her when time's right"
As though realizing what he just said,caleb made an excuse to go to the bathroom,and was actually quite calm while walking away,maybe due to knowing about the upcoming apocalypse,he's aware that being shy won't do you any good,and if you're unlucky,it might even hurt you,so he might as well say what he feels towards her(angie) while there's still time,of course it doesn't mean he can't escape after doing so
Angie lowered her head and blushed while the rest of them laughed
Harmony:"speaking off,where are your servants,although you usually don't hire much,at least there are always one or two around,but I haven't seen any since I walked in"
Mr.Parker:"that's related to the real reason we called you guys here"
Lucas:"oh,this sounds more serious than I thought"
After that,elizabeth went on to explain the upcoming apocalypse,and even used her space as an example to show them that this was indeed happening,the family of three were completely shocked,they were unable to gain their bearings for a while and simply slumped down to the couch they were sitting on with looks of disbelief on their face,Ivy who was in elizabeth's head looking at this felt that their reaction was more natural,unlike the reaction of parker,angela,and caleb,because although they were also shocked,they didn't show such excess reactions,and where also quick to believe beth
Ivy's thought's:"so it's not that it's natural,host's family are just too weird that's why"
The reason beth's family were so calm,at least when compared to the reaction of normal people,is that everyone in this family has sharper than average senses,so they felt a storm coming,just never thought in the direction of an apocalypse,on top of that,the person that broke the news to them was their beloved daughter/sister,so of course they'd chose to believe her,even if beth didn't show any proof,they would have still believed her,it's just that instead of putting all their fortune into materials,they would have at least saved enough to keep the same lifestyle for a lifetime,that way if the apocalypse didn't occur like beth informed them off,they could still live comfortably,and if it did occur,they would be completely prepared putting them in a win-win situation.
Lucas:"so you're saying,that in a month,zombies are going to be roaming around,people are going to have superpowers,and all order is going to collapse?"
Harmony:"kinda like returning to the primitive ages where it's everyone for themselves and strength rules"
Angie:"this is a lot to take in...but we have no choice but to believe"
Elizabeth:"yeah,but at least this time we know ahead of time,not only can we be more prepared,we also have future knowledge"
Elizabeth got ivy to make a basic diagram and report on the levels of zombies,and the different kinds of zombies,that separates the ranks of all zombies,and also groups them into their respective categories,and with the excuse of going to grab something,she had ivy transplant the created diagrams/reports onto pieces of papers in her room and took them downstairs for her parents and brother to be more informed in case of separation(which is not going to happen)
Angie:"must have been tough on you living in such a place for ten years"
Elizabeth:"haha,you're always so funny angie,firstly,we were all living in such a place for ten years,secondly,it's going to happen and isn't something we can stop"
Angie:"so did we have superpowers,also were we all together?"
Elizabeth:"yes,at first,because you guys were at your place when it began and we were home,we didn't meet each other till about a month later,luckily due to both of our houses having solar panels,making them off the grid,and us also connecting them together,we could still keep in touch with each other and knew the other was alive causing us less worries and allowing us t focus more on beating zombies till we met each other safe and sound"
Harmony:"alright,so what powers did we have?"
Elizabeth:"uncle is an earth ability user,aunt is a wood ability user,and angie is a fog ability user"
Lucas:"we all love reading,so I have a basic idea on what mine and harmony's skills are,but what about angie's"
Elizabeth:"she can transform herself into fog,and there's even a one minute invisibility period,that increases as you get more powerful,during this period,even zombies won't be able to sense you"
Angie:"so when i'm in my regular fog mood zombies can sense me"
Elizabeth:"when you're in your regular fog mood,zombies will still smell the scent of a human coming from you,and if they're crazy enough,they could possibly follow you till you exhaust your power to attack you,but during this one minute invisibility period,you can roan through the zombies with them treating you the same way a human will treat fog,they'll pretty much ignore you"
