Chapter 2: A new world
(authors note: It didn't really hit me how hard it is to figure out dates with real accuracy for one piece. So I enlisted the all powerful google-kun for aide and I found the libraryofohana and I'm basing my timeline off theres, and having Diesel be born two years before ace so he has time to grow before shit hits the fan.)
year 1500
An island in the South Blue
Theres a typhoon raging across the island. Lightning is flashing across the sky, and the wind's blowing so fast it's enough to blow someone off their feet. So the last thing sister Vanessa expected to hear was someone pounding on the doors of the church.
Thinking someone must be injured or in need of shelter she quickly moved to open the door only to find a newborn baby wrapped in a blanket on the front porch. Horrified that someone would leave a baby out in this weather she immediately took him inside to dry him off and make sure he doesn't catch a cold.
'What kind of person would do something so irresponsible? Maybe it's for the best as only a hoodlum would be so reckless and would be a bad parent' she thought.
As she was getting him out of the blanket she noticed someone had written on it 'his name is Titan D. Diesel'. "At least whoever it was had the decency to name you little one" she grumbled.
She was slightly worried since the baby was still sleeping even though it had literally been sitting in a rainstorm a minute before, however the next moment the baby slowly opened his eyes for the first time.
The Grandline
Whitebeard was currently sitting on the deck smiling while surrounded by all of his adopted sons as they ate and drank to their hearts content. Most would have at least have a look out to make sure they aren't amushed, this is the grand line after all. However there are only three others would dare attack him and his crew, of them Kaido and LinLin would definitely think twice. 'No doubt taking over, protecting, and running a territory is much harder than they realized' he thought.
'Roger on the other hand would have no problem with sailing right up to him and starting a fight just because he was bored. That said Roger was supposedly ill with some kind of rare disease....' As he was thinking about randum mundane things he suddenly had an odd feeling.
Looking south it went away as suddenly as it came but he couldn't shake the feeling something truly dangerous just bared its fangs at him....
He didn't realize that all over the world all of the truly strong felt the exact same thing. Like a caged beast had finally been unchained and was ready to take on anything with it's newfound freedom. Worldwide all but two had brushed it off as them imagining it, after all what type of creature could cause such a feeling.
In the depths of MarieJois a man on a throne was currently tasking all of the information organizations around the globe to report anything of note happening at exactly that time. Almost immediately reports came in, and just five minutes later it was determined that so far nothing out of the ordinary had happened anywhere. Gathering information like this was only possible for someone who had all the resources and connections that the world government has.
"Servant! I want a team of our brightest pawns pouring over all the data collected from around the world today. I want every major or odd event highly scrutinized for irregularities and I am to be told immediately if anything comes up."
"If only you had been born a little sooner! Hahahahahahaha!" was all Gol D. Roger said as he stared to the south with a huge grin on his face.
back in Newport village
After a day sister Vanessa was starting to worry as this baby hadn't made a sound other than when he wanted food. He was just far to calm to be a normal baby. She would swear it was like he was pondering on only god knows what but this boy was just a few days old, What could he possibly be thinking about?! So she asked a doctor in town to come check on him.
Doctor POV
'Sister Vanessa sounded very concerned and based on what she said the baby may be sick or injured in some way from the birthing process. After all it most likely wasn't done by a professional only to then drop him off at church in the middle of that storm. Some people just dont have any common sense' he thought.
After coming into the church and being led into the back he laid eyes on Diesel for the first time. Only to see the baby was staring at him with the most unique set of eyes he'd ever seen. As the doctor moved around to get a closer look he realized why The nun was worried. 'This kid hasn't moved at all or made a noise since I got in here but his eyes follow me no matter where I go. How unsettling' thought the doctor.
After a check up the doctor was stumped as there was nothing he could find that would explain this behavior. "He makes noise when hungry and based on the way he looks at people I refuse to believe he is mentally challenged. If anything I have a feeling he's extremely smart although I don't have evidence of that, but at the very least hes a healthy baby. That said I have no idea why he's unlike other children and is so calm. Maybe if we tickle him he make some noise?"
The doctor failed to noticed the baby narrowed his eyes at that last bit as he reached his hands out to tickle him.
Mc POV
'I was just trying to be a good child and not cause a lot of problems like all other babies do since the sister took me in, and honestly it's been kinda fun messing with this guy. However I'm a grown ass man (or was) I refuse to be tickled!' Diesel thought. Right before the doctors evil hands where about to make contact with his stomach he caught his wrists, and swung him up and over the bed onto the floor on the other side.
'Hopefully he learned his lesson and I wont have to defend my manliness again' thought Diesel.
