Chapter 2: Chapter Two

The plane ride was nice. I decided to look a little more into the school. I was going to Busan Arts High School. I was distracted a lot by the looks I was getting from the girl next to me. She was judging me. She was looking at my lap. My arm was in my lap. She'd seen my cuts. I pulled my sleeve down and put my laptop away. I put my headphones in and started the playlist Gin had made for me. It was all of her favorite Kpop songs. I didn't care much for the artist, but the fact that she made it for me made it special.

The plane landed in Korea. I got off the plane to find my bags. I was told to find a tall Asain man.. Thanks, Mom. I looked for a sign with my name on it. I found it. They spelled my name wrong. V-ic-tor-ya. Not i-a. I approached the man. He smiled and bowed.

"Hello, Miss. Lilly, My name is Mr. Kang, how was your flight." I sighed. He spoke English.

I bowed back, " It was fine, thank you." Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience, Please click for visiting.

He motioned for me to follow him. I did rolling my suitcase on me. He took my backpack and smiled. I smiled back. A fake smile. Never real. The car smelled like flowers. It was a minivan. I didn't know where we were going. I didn't even know where I was staying. I texted my Moms. Park Pil-Woo and Park Mi-Jeong. They had two kids. They didn't live at home. I'd be alone. I don't mind that. The car drove for an hour and a half. I stayed awake even though it was late. But here it was mid-day. The care pulled up to a small house. It was cute and cozy looking. I sighed as I stepped out of the car. I didn't know what to expect from the owners. Hopefully, they were kind. Mr. Kim took my bags out of the trunk and bowed saying goodbye. The car pulled away. I stood there and waited. I was about to walk up to the door when it opened. From the house emerged a couple. They looked nice. The woman approached me and bowed. I did the same. The man bowed. I stayed down.

"You must be Victorya?" the woman, Park Mi-Jeong, said with a bright smile. I nodded. "My name is Park Mi-Jeong, and this is my husband Park Pil-Woo. We are so happy to have you hear dear." She was speaking to me, but the only thing I could think of was how well her English was. Was I wrong to assume that nobody in Korea could speak English? Maybe.

Mr. Park took my suitcase and I followed them to the door. I saw them take their shoes off, so I did the same. The inside smelt of incense. It was calming. There were pictures of little boys. They looked alike, but at the same time different. She was snapped out of her thoughts by the sound of Mrs. Park's voice.

"Would you like some tea?" she said already pouring a cup.

"Yes, please," I said taking a seat.

She set down the tea and I took a sip. Jasmine. Mr. Park walked in and they two began conversing in Korean. I sat there and drank my tea. Then my phone went off. I had set it on the table. They both looked at my phone then at me, then at each other. They smiled and walked out of the room. I checked my phone. It was my Moms. I picked up and smiled.

"How are you? Are you with the family yet?" She asked.

I sighed finishing my tea," I'm fine, tired though. I got here a few minutes ago."

They both sighed, "We're sorry we made this choice without you sweety. But we wanted what was best. You understand that right?"

I sighed into the phone. I knew she wanted what was best for me. All parents want that. They saw something in me as a dancer. Something I never saw. I just danced because I could show how I felt through my motions. "I know Mommy. I know"

I went outside and sat on the porch. The sun was shining so bright my eyes hurt. I felt the hot of the wood burn my feet. It was nice. I felt nice. "You guys should get some rest. Don't worry about me. The couple is older so they are nice. They seem friendly. Speak English very well too."

I heard them smile. "Okay, Tory. We love you. Be good."

"I will. Love you too." I hung up and sighed. I crossed my arms over my chest and felt the sting of the cuts. The three newer ones had opened on the plane when I fell in the bathroom. I would be starting school tomorrow. I didn't know what to expect. I wanted to be avoided by everyone like a disease. I wanted to be able to speak Korean so I could understand everyone. I just wanted to dance. I wonder if they had a cheer team. Do they let girls do sports? I got up and went to the room, my room. Mr. Park had set my bags on my bed. Mrs. Park had set it up. The walls were white and the bed was a light purple. There was a desk across from the door and a closet on both sides of the bed. I stripped from my clothes and put on shorts and a hoodie. It was only 3 pm, but I was tired. I slipped underneath the soft covers and put on the playlist Gin made for me. I closed my eyes and let sleep take over my body.
